Wondering if there's a way to do this. - HTC One X

I had an idea today for my home screen. I like to keep it simple and usually only use one page. Is there a way to make the one page stay stationary but be able to have the wall paper scroll?

I've been using that for ages and I checked it out deeper and there's no option. I tried searching for what I'm looking for but am having no luck.
It seems feasible no? To have one home screen and still be able to scroll the wallpaper? Maybe it's not. I can only hope.

hmm... check THIS out.

[Q] sense screen removal?

hey there i have a 2.3.3 dinc2 so i cant root it yet but i really do like the sense widgets so dont wanna change to adw or launcherpro, but wondering if there is anyway to make it 5 homescreens instead of 7? i know on touchwiz you can but ive looked through all the settings and cant find it on my di2. anyone know if it can be done and how?
No you can't
Why would you want to get rid of home screen? If they aren't getting used then you most likely won't see them and won't bother you. But from what I see after having played with my phone there is no option for that.

Wallpaper position...less screens more of the wallper is visible. I hate that you can't pick which screen is the home screen either.

Err. I guess I had problems trying to get the picture not to get blown up when setting wallpaper.

You can. Go into the Sense previews and hold in one screen and you can move it. Is this what you're talking about?

No not really, that just let's you move the screens around but the home screen is always the center one. what I meant was making any screen the home screen regardless of that screens position

I don't quite understand what you want it to do..You can make any of the screens the home screen by moving it to the center.
He wants to make the left-most screen (for example) the home screen, not just move the contents of the left-most screen onto the center screen.
And yeah, the lack of home screen configureability is probably the biggest reason I don't use Sense. I only use 3 to 4 screens, and don't need or want any more.

How to force landscape homescreen?

Searched the forum and found no answers! It happened the other day - my homescreen turns landscape - but I can't get it to happen again. Any ideas?! Also, anyone find that this XDA Premium HD app FCs a lot?

Hi!
landscape mode works only in some apps. You will not get landscape mode in homescreens, unless you have a custom ROM installed and have LeeDroid Tweaks.
Greetings
Putti
But it actually happened yesterday! I had landscape homescreen with all icons positioned on right of the screen and widgets resized accordingly...
[EDIT] I am running custom ROM Android Revolution HD

Hello, i have a non-rooted phone and also got it a copple of times.
On the home screen i suddenly had a landscape screen.
Once turned back to portrait, it did not go back to landscape again.
After searching i found a forum message about an app called 'Rotate'.
this app can force autorotate, so the landscape also works on the homepage.
1 problem, you can try it some time and then you have to pay for it (only $1.99)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nl.fameit.rotate&feature=search_result
If your using apex launcher you can go into advanced settings and pick auto rotate or landscape only, if your using stock sense then I havn't got a clue

HTC Sense doesn't allow the homescreens to rotate at will, generally the home screens are locked into portrait viewing.
I have seen screen shots of the phone homescreen in landscape, I think it's just a glitch... as you said, it's reverted back now and won't do it again.
Unless forced with an app etc...

HTC Sense doesn't allow the homescreens to rotate at will, you have to edit the rosie.apk to get it to work as you've already said.
So it doesn't work as standard.
I have a car dock for my One X, and when it sits in the car dock it is also possible to see the homescreen(s) in landscape mode.
Here is an example:

So it is possible and I find it strange that HTC doesn't allow it when using the device normally.
Rotate HTC 1 X homepage
I found this app on the Play Store " Rotation Locker" on another forum. It has worked for me but try it your selves.
.
Thanks works just perfect and now its free

This app works but...
Hey...even i was searching for some app or mod through which i can get my homescreen in landscape mode while the phone rests in my "new KiDiGi desktop charger" :silly:
So i came across the apps mentioned above.... "Rotation Locker" and "Ultimate Rotation Control"
Rotation locker was a free app but it did not work fully...like the lock screen used to be in portrait only...and the app sometimes flickered between portrait and landscape mode...so i uninstalled it....
Ultimate Rotation Control is amazing...it works perfectly for me...the only issue that it is a 7-day trial after which i would be asked to pay $2 (almost Rs.110 here in India)...
i would not mind paying money to the developer...but since i have a rooted phone with Android Revolution HD 9.4.1 ROM, i was just thinking is there any custom tweek developed for this ROM which can help me get rid of these Third party apps for rotation control....
Does anyone know about any such tweak for rooted HTC One X??
I have another query...i want to know if there is any tweak/app through which i can get my screen to wake up when a new SMS/Whatsapp/mail comes?? basiacally to wake up the screen in case of any notification...
Thanks a lot in advance

lockscreen

i was wondering if there was any way where you dont have to choose a separate lockscreen wallpaper than homescreen one.
im currently on stock and would like to stay on it.. not a huge fan of go locker... i just wondered if there was any other way to get the same wallpaper for both without having to set it twice... slight OCD issue lol ( i swear there was a way around it on the galaxy s 2)
Use Quickpic
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
Just set the wallpaper twice.
If it still keeps you up at night, a shrink will be more useful than a dev to fix the problem.
Oh forgot about that on stock
I thought there was an option in the lockscreen wallpaper to set it as homescreen one?
Sent from the cracked screen of my GALAXY Ace.
go to settings, then display, then wallpaper. select lockscreen and choose none. then your lockscreen paper will be the same as your desktop paper. when you change your desktop paper, lockscreen will match. hope this helps
No option to set same as homescreen one, maybe its because im on the i version :-/ mehh shall probably end up rooting it soon, never takes me too long before i do.. Cm7 possibly

there is NO setting to set the same pic for lockscreen and homescreen. all you need to do is select none for your lockscreen in the settings location I told you to go to. simple as that....
No thats what im saying i dont have the option to do.. It literally says wallpaper gallery or gallery.. Trust me if it said none then i would have clicked it straight away.. I just didnt know if there was another way around it but it sounds like not

Lockscreen Notifications

Hey I found his nice app for displaying missed called, email and text message notifications on the lock screen somewhat like the iphone. It's setup as a live wall paper to show notifications in the background, that way you don't need to change our your original lockscreen.

Same here. Too much lag to use.
Trying to figure out how to make the widget show on the main screen (under the clock) like in your image. Can't see a setting that does it... anyone else figure that out?

That's a screenshot of WidgetLocker, not the stock lockscreen.

Jellytime/cyanogenmod 10 pattern looks wrong size??

Every time I try and use the pattern locksscreen it just looks too small and the circles look squashed.
It was fine on oaspx.
And its also fine on the pattern settings when you set it to be in with.
Is there any way of fixing it?

By the way I mean the green circles that say you've got the right pattern, not the small dots..

Are they layered on top of each other or anything? Or just closer than you're used to? It may just be a change in design. Or is anything else in the UI smaller? If so, that could be a DPI change.
There's just jagged edges on the circles so I'm guessing it's a resizing issue
It's fine when im setting the pattern so I don't know why it's not the same on the actual lock screen

You probably need to take that up with the ROM dev then.
