Hi,
I was wondering if it's possible to have Asus widgets on Nexus 7 or it's impossible due to the biggest screen on the Asus Transformers ?
Thanks

Why in the world can I not change the output to Fahrenheit?
Edit: never mind, read on and saw I have to change the DPI to do so.

Does anyone have a working Asus Email Widget we can use on the Nexus 7?
I think it would go great with the weather widget and LWP.

placed in /system/app and gave permissions -rw -r -r.. it installs fine, but always force closes.

Copy all three of the files to system/app. (Email.apk, Exchange.apk, Email Widget.apk)
Set the permissions
Delete or rename Exchange2.apk
Reboot
PRESTO! Working email widget. You will have to re-add your email accounts after you reboot, though.

Where did you get the 3 files from?? I can only find either the Asus_EmailWidget.apk or the EmailWidget.apk on any of these links?

I'm on cm9 beta 1 and I can't find a inverted sms and contacts zip file. The only one I found on another thread had old versions of apps in with it too and I just want those stock so I can download updates for them still. Thank you.

If it is inverted you will not be allowed to update it, anything themed can not be updated via the market.
That's why I only want the sms and contacts inverted. Sorry if my post was unclear.

An apk just hit it in a file explorer and it will install like a regular app.

Someone posted it in the cm9 forums. Search inverted apps there. It'll take you to an outside site that has everything. That's how I found them.
The cm9 beta or alpha or discussion thread?

Used the one found in this section find the thread: ICS MMS Holo theme. Something like that. Contacts isnt available afaik
Here's a link to the apps I'm using on CM9. Their all inverted. Copy/cut and paste them into your system/app folder and change permissions, then reboot. Don't just install like an apk because it won't stick.

The folder where the default wallpapers are. I been trying to change my lockscreen to something I've downloaded but it seems like selecting it from the regular gallery doesn't work.

Are you running a custom ROM? From gallery you should be able to set current picture as background. But on custom ROMs you can have a completely different picture for your lock screen than what a set as your home screen.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
Actually you can set them separately on stock based roms as well.
And putting your picture in another location probably won't fix the problem. Sounds like you're on a JB rom. Some of those had some issues with this. You may be able to set wallpaper by going through the settings menu. Or try pressing menu while on homescreen and select set wallpaper.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Stock based ROM is settings>display> choose which you want to change.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Thanks I guess it's just an issue with the JB ROM.

Says not allowed on non Razr Devices, using Stock Rom/Kernel with root, any way to get this working ?

This from the play store gives you a working three ringed clock on any launcher/ROM for those who dont want to flash. Been using for months and I am very happy.
Yeah the play store download doesn't have interactive service .
I was on a mission to find this Lol.
It works on most android phones . s3 .note .note 2 my nexus 4...
It uses its own launcher . just install each apk through astro and it works fine.
Cheers.

Don't think so. It comes up with an error, at least it did on Nova. It seems integrated to the launcher.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could suggest an email widget similar to Simple Calendar Widget. My goal is to have the last X emails titles listed, with a transparent background.
Thank you for your help.
The only one I can think of is android pro widgets. You can control the shading of the background and make it clear if you want.

I've asked the dev; but never heard back.
There's a pretty massive void of email widgets, not sure if permissions related (?).
Pure messenger in the market works with gmail, have to be rooted though.

Yeah the xda app removes the transparency layer.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
In your browser, click the icon picture. Save the icons from the popup picture viewer. Long press the icon and save. It keeps transparency.
i noticed the phone icon edges was not pretty. Here is a pretty a version. I was bored so I re-created it in ps (vector). If you need a bigger size or better quality, PM me. xda image uploader is not friendly with png.
Very coooooool

Droid-Life just posted some KitKat icons/wallpaper/UCCW widget.
Here's the link:
http://www.droid-life.com/2013/10/1...-kit-kat-look-with-these-icons-and-wallpaper/
I didn't test this, because I am on MIUI, and I have no backup. Can anyone test this vrtheme out and tell me if phone and app drawer are properly replaced with 4.4 icons and kit kat wallpaper is added to the stock wallpapers?
You have to be in stock launcher
Thanks!! If it works I will create another thread so everybody can see it Waiting your answers!!!
Looks good, I may give these a go over Nox for a few days and see how I like them.
