Hey,
Just another quick problem. I was trying to add a .gif (animated image) to my signature but I was greeted with the message that I may not. I have seen other members have moving images in their signatures though. Is their another requirement for moving signatures or is their another method I have to input the signature or what?
Just a small thing.
Any Help Appreciated.
Close/Delete thread if question already asked. Deeply sorry if that is the case.

What exactly does it say when you try to do it?

I just checked the gif in my sig and you've gotta make sure the URL is between tags. It should work for you that way.

Instead of copying the URL from facebook, if you find the gif from Google and use a direct link it may work.
It's the only other thing I can think of to be honest.
--
Just save the gif on your pc, upload it to any image hosting website, and use the provided link within the bb code...
Hope this is what you were looking for...

If you'd like a custom one made, then send a PM to whitest0rm asking if he could make you one and tell him all the details so it's easier for him.

This is the right answer. The image has to be hosted somewhere. It can be hosted on XDA itself by uploading it to your pictures. Just click on Quick Links up top and the Pictures and Albums link there, make an album and then upload your picture. The BB code you need is right under the picture when you click on it.

I use tweetcaster in lieu of twitter. When I go to the info screen of a tweet, the text is not visible. Is there a setting I am forgetting? I have attached a screenshot. Thanks.

Rujelus is addressing these on a case by case basis, it's a theming issue I believe. If you are able to post in the Development section I would suggest putting this there. If you aren't able to post it there yourself I can post for you.
Thanks so much for replying. I have not reached my 10 posts so I cannot post in the developer section. I have read the entire thread so I have been doing my homework. I tried changing color themes in tweetcaster but it was to no avail. If you could post that in the dev section, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Wow. That's such an insightful post.
It's really quite shocking that out of approximately 4.5 million users that you'd think you're the only user here who thinks that this is "the greatest development forum".
May I make a suggestion?
Instead of jumping through random threads across XDA to tell people pointless stuff just to get up to 10 posts, you actually devote a bit of your time to reading threads such as :-
Forum Rules
Postcount limit in the developmental fora
Get the most out of XDA
XDA New User Guide
Now, you might be thinking that reading all of them might take quite a bit of time, and you're right. But it's either spend the time to read and follow what is said in those threads, or keep on doing what you are and quickly find that a moderator has deleted your posts because they're spamming.
The choice is yours
Oh, and please don't think that those threads were written for people like you just to ignore. That would be a really silly presumption to make and you'd quickly find out that those threads are in place to make this a much better place for all of us.
However, if you're struggling to think of how to get a legitimate 10 posts, then you should start off by answering peoples question in the General and Q&A sections for your device.
Much obliged

Is there such thing as receiving a notification when the first post of the thread I am subscribed to has been edited? It would be especially helpful on the developers' subforum.
It would be nice but no there is no way to get a notification when the op is edited.

No need to worry though, because usually OPs post a reply in the thread that the first post has been edited. Like "updated to 2.1 version, please check the first post".

Unfortunately, that is caused by people posting stuff in the Dev threads that shouldn't be there. If people could actually understand what the Dev threads are for and not post cr4p in there like "Thanks" or "Why doesn't this work - I haven't bothered searching".

Really??? A mod posted here with a link rather then answering the question? When I mod and admin at other sites, we still answer questions to help the members out. Thanks for the link... ohhh btw, I am posting this from the web browser on my phone cause the app wont connect to the forum at all, let alone post pics or the search work!!!! Ill post in the link when I get home thanks for all your help!

It often helps to only post a link so that members will become more accustomed to searching the linked thread for their answer, rather than simply being given the answer which won't help you as much

I get where your coming from, but when you can see I am posting from the app, and everyone knows that the app has issues, like you can't search, or when you can search its screwy. If the mods dont know that there is an known issue with the app, and dont want to help fellow members, then they shouldn't be mods.
And yes, I am posting through my phone atm, but still cat upload. I just tried.

Your lucky he posted a link. As you should have searched first as per the rules you agreed to when you joined. This is not a support site but a development site.

Hello @snifing
In regards to your comment above to the Xda Moderator. You can't delete any post, but you can remove the content of that post. And from what I can see is exactly what you did here. Next time your going to make a thread with a big list of apks, please put them all in the first post for everyone to find them. Not make 17 post for all 17 apks. Makes no sense and just creates way way to much clutter! Look below at how it would look in one post...

Apks
App-1
App-2
App-3
App-4
App-5
And so...
And please have a look at the rule below.
5. Create a thread or post a message only once.
As a large forum, we don't need unnecessary clutter. You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer, revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time so it might take a while before you receive an answer.
