Why would you want to do that? Why not just use the T989 build of CM9?

I just want to install instigatorX kernel..its good and has more governors

If you're only going for the kernel, is there a standalone flash of the kernel? Since they're the same hardware, I believe you can flash the kernel from skyrocket.

Yes there is just zip of only kernel.. so i think we have to flash autorotate fix too as we r installing skyrocket kernel.. ??

No kernels and modems are separate..... kernels control hardware like the CPU and keyboard.... modems control the antennas.....

Is rc10 a type of build number. One of the developers has a zip file for rc10 that you flash. Just want to know exactly what that is before I do anything

RC10 is a Gingerbread ROM built by Marcusant. The ROM includes the kernel too. If you are still on Froyo (EC05) you need to odin to stock EF02 with the files found here or to EF02Plus found here. Once you are on GB, all you need to do is wipe everything x3 and flash the RC10 zip in CWM.
Edit: I believe you can use any modem (EE03, EF02, EF10, EC05) of your choosing. Just flash whichever one you want in odin.

What were the steps you took to get it to work? I keep on getting boot loops. This is what I have done..
1- wipe everything x2
2- flash paranoid rom
3- flash kernel (Eugene cm9 v4)
4- flash auto rotate fix
And then I just get a boot loop

[Kernel] HighOnAndroid Kernel v1.0! [Init.d][Custom BootAnimation][ALG1]

Here's a kernel I wanted to share and working on. Since many were asking me about a compatible kernel for the App2ExtSD hack, here's a kernel you can use for now.
Currently it's a repacked stock kernel but I am planning to add some more features, any thoughts appreciated. I am thinking maybe autoroot and underclocking for future.
Features:
- Init.d support
- Custom Boot animation support
- Busybox
Coming soon:
Battery saving script
Please download the appropriate version for your software build number. (Under About)
Installation:
Please use ODIN for .tar files and CWM Recovery for .zip files!
Downloads Here:
http://galaxys3root.com/highonandroid-kernel/
*Note - This kernel will also fix battery loss issue you were having on HighOnAndroid ROM v0.2 for AT&T. Please simply flash this kernel without a wipe over the ROM for fix.

Both AOKP is nice, fast, reliable and smooth. Indroid have JB Animation (but with Unable to add gadgets to desktop coz of limited) and Digital dont have JB Animation (and it has ability to add unlimited gadgets to desktop)
& I Already request to BZS (Developer of Digital) maybe he reliese that suggestion which i give him (That post i suggest for Jellybean)
See my post # 101 page 11 [ http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840869&page=11 ]

For Digital AOKP please download ROM from below link
Digital.AOKP.I8150.BZS.v1.3.zip
& First boot restart means, when u flash your ROM and start your ROM after configuration, you must restart your phone once.. It reload all libraries...
