Can i flash the Europian stock recovery on my Indian phone. - HTC One V

So, as you guys know, HTC released an update 2.22 for our one v. I am rooted and have cwm installed. Present firmware version- 2.09. Indian RUU.
I could not find a stock recovery for 2.09 (indian version). Is it okay to flash the europian version? or will i brick my phone?

No you can't flash europian ruu....If you have nandroid backup of v2.09 then I have attached stock recovery and stock kernel which is of v 1.57 and it works in v2.09 I've succesfully updated to v2.24 using v1.57's recovery and kernel so you can use this...

Thanks a lot. I have the stock kernel already. So i am assuming that i don't need to flash boot.img again.

As you said your CID is HTC__044, what you need is a 2.09.707.1 RUU then proceed with OTA update to 2.22.

[Q] Upgrade to OTA JellyBean from a custom ICS rom

Hi, I have noticed that HTC_044 is receiving OTA updates to jellybean now, my CID is 044, Hboot version 0.96 and currently running AHD 9.7 custom rom. So how can I upgrade my phone to jellybean?
I have searched through some threads but still confuse with feasibility and step by step guide. The question is can I flash the first original ROM nandroid backup and use the software update from setting? I have to relock the bootloader and reflash original recovery? How do I know which recovery to use as there is 1.26, 1.28, 1.29? Or can I just download the OTA zip and flash it directly on AHD 9.7 custom rom? Or should I just wait developer to upgrade their ROM compatibility?
Thanks in advance
Err... That's a lot of questions.
If you restore your backup and boot.img and flash the stock recovery (I'm not sure which one hboot 0.96 corresponds to, but after booting the ROM you'll know), you should be able to.apply several OTAs to get to JB.
I assume your backup is old, so you will want Titanium backup or something.
An alternative is to relock your bootloader
fastboot oem lock
download 2.17.707.x RUU from htcruu.com (ENDEAVORU) which will wipe your phone. Then apply one OTA and unlock or whatever you want.
Thanks a lot for your patience in answering my loads of questions! I guess flashing RUU is the way to go right?
Or alternatively can I just flash Maximus 8.5 by following the steps provided and use the firmware update as provided in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376?
BTW, will there be any difference if I use Maximus update instead of RUU, because I heard people are receiving battery update from OTA?

can i use this method to update my one x?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26967480
I just did a very manual method.
- Was on AOKP and I restored my original sense stock backup
- fastboot original boot.img (from within that backup),
- fastboot stock recovery,
and it's currently updating via OTA.
Fingers crossed!

Yes, I did manual update too, running jellybean now.
using method by samuelong87, as for stock recovery, i extract from the original RUU(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30574349&postcount=859), and preserve my root via voodoo rootkeeper (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1670433). Awesome stuff!

you can extract the recovery from the original RUU, go to football's http://www.filefactory.com/f/7cc7b2fbdd03c031/ or http://www.htcruu.com/?dir=Endeavor (though often the RUU is corrupted), follow steps in here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30574349&postcount=859, then you are good to go You can find your RUU version via software version from your stock rom

Bootloader unlocked HTC One X OTA JB update
I've just unlocked my HTC One X and installed 'mike1986' ICS custom ROM but before I did that I saved my carrier's (3UK) JB update to my laptop's C:drive. Would it be possible to flash the 3UK JB update now and if so will it contain 3UK's bloatware?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope won't work. You need to go back to your original 3UK stock rom and the stock recovery to be able to update.

[Q] How to STOCK ROM with these files?

Hello, I have a rooted HTC One X with JB 4.1.1 & 3.20.401.1 (CID HTC_203)
There is no RUU file for 3.20.401.1 yet
Yesterday, I tried to revert into stock rom by 3.14.x.x RUU file and got "bootloader version error" so I'm still on this configuration.
Today, I've found this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1546970 which gives some files about STOCK ROM.
Could somebody tell me how to use these files for flashing STOCK ROM with 3.20.401.1?
Are those files compatible with my CID as well?
Thanks in advance...
Well, basically you have to have an unlocked bootloader and custom recovery, witch you should have considering that you are rooted..
Now just download the odexed rom and boot.img and flash them using your recovery for rom and fastboot command for boot.img
However, If the only thing you did to your rom is root then you have the stock rom, just open SuperSU and tap "Full Unroot"
Thanx for your reply.I dloaded odexed zip file and flashed it by cwm recovery.finally I flashed original recovery. But i did not use boot.img since I was not using custom rom. (I had deleted some integrated system software, that's all) so how can i verify if the phone gets back to stock rom? Should i wait for htc sense 5 ota update to see if it's ok?

Well you ARE on the stock rom if you have flashed the odexed.zip
Unless you have a non-WWE cid...
You can post your cid here and I will tell you if you are WWE or what you are... The rom I sent you if for WWE CID's and will only get ota if you have a WWE cid...
If you have a different cid, like me (orang001 witch is Orange UK) you'll need to find that rom, or ruu to be able to get otas
To get your cid you can ether get an app from the play store or run fastboot oem readcid...
My device is from France. So my CID is HTC_203....

cant find RUU for my baseband

Ok so i have run into some troubles with my rooted One X and want to flash Ruu and start all over again.
But i cant seem to find my baseband in the RUU section here.. and a little confused as which one to download.
My baseband shows 5.1204.167.31 and im rooted with the stock 4.2.2 sense 5.0 , software number 4.18.401.2
i am located in Norway so i guess its one of the Europe Ruu's.
Edit: do i get the stock recovery as well when doing a Ruu?
There is no RUU for android 4.2.2. HTC will never release one either. Better look for a nandroid back up.
great !
so now im stucked... i just need to get the stock recovery so i can get the new software update with the heartbleed bug fix... software update 4.18.401.4 12.03mb .. is the another way for that... a file to flash maybe? twrp recovery.
