Thanks a lot
And what i forgot... Maybe the shutdown-animation too? ^^
Edit: its located in /system/media/video/shutdown/shutdown.qmg
Edit 2: and maybe the sound from bootup and shutdown too?
Thx anyways

Here you go. Not sure where the sound files are though. If you point in the right direction I'll upload them too.
thanks,
/system/media/sounds/ui/poweroff.wav
i didn't find the bootup sound yet but i'm trying to find it in the next few minutes
Sent from my overclocked GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
it's located in
/system/etc/
exactly:
/system/etc/poweron.wav
for me there are 2 files...
/system/etc/1_Power_on.ogg
/system/ect/poweron.wav
i do only need the poweron.wav file
Sent from my overclocked GT-I9100 using XDA Premium App
Here's the poweron.wav but I don't have the poweroff.wav. I rebooted my phone to double check and it doesn't play a sound when it shuts down.
Ehhh...
And if I would like to make my OWN bootanimation; how do I create the filetype?
SGS1 forum Themes section has some boot animations .
Most are multiple png files zipped .

Works like a charm! I just renamed 1_Power_on.ogg and poweron.wav and had no bootsound anymore.
zomg it took multiple searches to find this thread haha
many thanks for uploading the stock boot stuff!

It worked on my Sprint Epic 4G Touch. Thanks a lot....
I was wondering if you know how to fix this issue too:
I flashed batista rom before and there is a custom bootscreen where it states that it is batista and stuff like that... it's not an animation, just a static bootscreen.
After flashing other custom roms, it still appears.. i was on cognition and now with touch x-power+ but it still remains... only if i flash a stock kernel it shows the old bootscreen with the yellow triangle...
you know how to get rid of that screen?
thanks
+1
I've got the same problem. Batista boot logo is still there after the yellow triangle was removed with a jig.
Hey, is it possible to use bootanimation.zips instead of those .qmgs? I've got some pretty cool animations but idk how to use them on this phone...

I don't really think that we have to use custom kernels... Isn't there any normal file we have to change to get it working..?

You can try dropping it in the usual place it will either work or not .
Modified QMG will don't know about zip.

well theres a way
guys theres no way to edit those .qmg formats.....but theres a way we can make our phones use zip formats.....this mod is for froyo and gingerbread.you can try on honeycomb and ics but follow the precautions given in the end:
1.go to system/bin folder....find the file named samsungani ,rename it to samsungani.bak.....
2.then find the file bootanimation in the same folder, rename it to samsungani...set its permissions as rwxr-xr-x.if you dont understand these permissions then simply check the permissions of any other file in the same folder and set the same permissions.
3.place your bootanimation.zip in system/media and set its permissions ---rwxr-x
4.now, when i did this on my phone,i entered a bootloop and even after my phone had booted properly, the custom bootanimation kept playing .thank god i have and external keyboard and when i opened it the screen orientation changed .now, the bootanimation was unable to cover the whole screen,so some part of the screen became visible, i used that part to go to system/bin/samsungani and i renamed it back to bootanimation, then i rebooted and there was no bootanimation
due to above problems i suggest u to use a bootanimation of the smallest possible size.that way ,even if u enter a bootloop the bootanimation will cover a small part of the screen and u will be able to revvert the changes .
actually ,gingerbread needs custom kernel to support the above mod, thats why i entered a bootloop.....all of us have different kernels so not all will encounter the same problem.....
please hit thanks button if i helped.......(really important ,otherwise the mod wont work
Simple method use a kernel that supports boot animation zip and place boot animation.zip in system/media folder job done .

Thank you!

Thank you very much!
It works on Samsung Galaxy note 2 but the dimensions of bootanimation.zip must be instead 720/1280 » 360/640.
Merry Christmas!
I have juggs 5.0 installed with synergy's kernel. I have tried changing my boot animation but for one reason or another it is not working. I have tried using flashable zips and have also tried copy/paste with root explorer. When it boots I get synergy kernel splash screen and then a black screen until the phone has completed booting. Is there something I am missing?
try putting the bootanimation.zip (rename it that) in /data/local/

Can you be more specific on what I should be changing the permissions on? If its the file explorer I have root access and can modify items in the system folder.
Attached is the bootanimation I am trying for. I don't care so much about the sound.
LOL the bootanimation.zip is of a single black picture... there is your issue. get a bootanimation that is more than 1 black image

Only Aosp or ktoonses Sammy kernel support bootanimation.zip files right now.
If you want the .qmg files, no problem. I haven't found a stock bootanimation.zip yet though.

Hi all! Here I have posted the Sprint Spark bootanimation used on the new ZVA update . You can download it here. AOSP ROMs: You can use it on your LG G2 or other devices running an AOSP ROM by downloading Root Browser (or some equivalent) and going into system then media and then placing the bootanimation_sprint.zip in there. Then rename the bootanimation.zip file already in there to something like bootanimation_old.zip and rename the new bootanimation_sprint.zip to bootanimation.zip. Then reboot, and if done correctly you should see the sprint spark boot logo Good luck! Comment if you need any help or if I confused you in any way
Also, on CM 10.2 when you update it would change back the boot animation to the stock one. Not sure if it still does this, but let me know if it does .
Youdug's directions for ZVA/ZV8/ZV7: Name bootanimation_sprint.zip, push to system/media, rw-r-r permissions

Yeah. The Google Edition S4 bootlogo I used to use on my S4 before getting the G2. This bootlogo just looks really nice and all of the old Sprint bootlogos really sucked haha. If you're interested I can add some other bootlogos I have saved from some ROMs, they look pretty cool.

You can also install it using romtoolbox by going to boot animations and selecting it from "local" this way it changes the permissions for you, took me like 2 seconds to install this way, worked perfectly!
I actually used rom toolbox pro... not sure if that makes a difference.
I'm not using an AOSP based ROM, but I'd really like to have a more stock boot animation. Can anyone provide the directions for using this with a stock based ROM?
It still should be in system/media and the directions will be the same(just rename to whatever the rom has the bootani named

ROM toolbox didn't work for me because it looks like it couldn't overwrite the file that was there.
The directions didn't work either until I figured out how to change the permissions using ES File Explorer. Got it working. Beautiful work people.
Now, my only question is... I've found a bunch of cool looking generic animations. They all have different sizes/resolutions. Which one does the LG G2 use?

Theoretically a 1080p+ boot logo should be fine, however, it varies. So the best thing to do is try the one you like and see if it looks right. At worst it'll just look out of res and you could replace it.
