I was watching youtube videos about Galaxy Note with flip cover and while at first i kinda liked how it looks, but later i decided that it isn't comfortable to use the phone with it in a hand

Thought about the flip case, but it doesn't appear to offer any kind of drop protection as it's exposed around the edges.
I don't very often drop my devices but if I do I'd like something like the a gel case around the edges at least.

Sure that's an original, as that one was supposed to come in only two colors?

I always thought that the flip covers are not that good in trying to use 2 hands to type etc.
I would get a hard back cover of some sort, but haven't seen anything appealing...

Yeah think I'll start with one of these, cheap as chips(£6) then see what's good later.

Getting one of these. Cheap & cheerful. Don't know if I'm getting the S3 yet as I am happy with my Note, but want to be prepared. ( Nice to see the trader being honest about the material used )

I've been looking everywhere for a case that protects the entire tablet, including the bezzel, like the iPad air smart case. Has anyone seen anything similar for Note 10.1 2014? Something with TPU for the body and Trifold for the screen. Thanks in advance.

I ordered a book cover for my Note 10.1 2014 from alixpress.com. It's very nice high quality case. Brand name is Rock. The only problem is you have to wait for 3 weeks because It ships from china. Let me tell why I love this case. I have an iPad with the case you posted. It's ok, but this case comes in two parts. A leather case for the tablet itself. When you insert your tablet into this case, the flap that holds it in tucks inside the case and is secured by Velcro. You're not going to snag the flap open by accident. That inner case has a landscape prop and an elastic strap that allows holding the tablet my slipping your hand in it. The portfolio isn't just a cover, there ids a tongue with a snap on it to pop the case to and you can pivot the case inside the portfolio. At this point the portfolio doubles as a stand for landscape or portrait. When I'm charging at night, I pivot the case on the snap so the charge port is on the top.
I'm not afraid of dropping this case when it's zipped close while commuting, and I'm not afraid of getting my tablet wet either, unless it ends up in a pool, lake, ocean or fountain. Lol under those conditions, I would have my mind on other things.

I bought both Moko cases they offer for the 2014 edition (along with their carbon fiber multi stand one). Since Christmas I have played with both cases. I have been using the slim fit more. It's lightweight, protective, and has the smart wake. The Today screen can be disabled, and is on mine. I personally have the one with purple and brown flowers on a white background. I didn't think I would like it....but I really do and get compliments all the time.

I think this may be close to what your looking for, about $20 on Amazon. It looks nice but......... no charging port hole when case is closed.

Sorry for the long delay, but I wait for verified, or fairly close, "menu > settings > General Tab > Accessories (under "Device Manager" ) > Book Cover (on the right "uncheck Daynote" )
This should, no promises, turn off the "Today Page"
I won't try to convince you that it's great. I hope this helps months later

Not waterproof, but these should be kid-resistant. I haven't tried either yet, I was looking to buy one before I left on vacation.

Just bought a note 10.1 n8000 and a otterbox defender for it off amazon. How do you like your otterbox box for the note? I have the defender for my s4 and love it.
2nd question is the note 10.1 a decent tablet for movies and gameloft games? Still have a Lil time to cancel if someone tells me its a horrible buy.
I bought the 7inch galaxy tab3 which was really cheap and I hate it. The screen is crappy and it only has 1gb ram and dual core not quad. I plan on Odining stock image and returning it tomorrow

Otterbox
I have the note 10.1 with the Otterbox case. This has been the only rigged case that I have found. I am backpacking through India and this case has been great. The one down side is the built in screen protector. I have a Zagg screen protector on my tablet and the combination of both didn't work well. The screen protector on the otterbox seemed to have issues not being able to be flush against the screen. I decided to remove the piece of clear plastic from the rest of the otterbox case and it works and protects great. I highly recommend the case.

Which case for best protection?

Hi all,
I want to get a tough case, but the otterbox defender is quite expensive for a case.
I got my sister the note pro 12.2 with I-blason case which is a great case bit they don't do one for note 10.1 only the tab pro 10.1 which I believe should fit the note 10.1 2014 but does not have the slot for the pen.
Could anyone recommend any good cases? Or does anyone really recommend the otterbox as the one to go for?

The OtterBox cases for the Note 2014 are more than half off on Amazon right now. If you're looking for the best protection, there's no reason not to get one.

Agreed. I just got one for my tablet and I love it. Otterbox cases have served me well on several phone (preventing damage when I'm not as careful as I should). This one was is a no brainer if you are looking for great protection, and you can't beat the price on Amazon considering they were between $80 and $90 when they came out.

Thanks for the heads up, decided to buy one. Tried buying in store, but they said online only which is bs. Should of tried a different store but be warned! Also they are doing free 2 day shipping...I bet best buy would price match
