I need a script to reset my battery stats. I'm running cm10 a5. Battery is new flashed a few ROMs and now its funky. It super charges in a period of 20 mins it will charge damn near 60% and it will die just as fast.

Battery stats can be erased by simply fully charging it. Doesn't do anything really

Did you try plugging it while standing upside down? Or shaking it? Think it's normal. My Evo3d only went to 97%
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Haha I will try that if it works! Yesterday it charged until "charged" Your Evo3d probably charged until full also but by the time you unplugged it and got to look at it... its had already burned through 3% battery
Sent from my Epic 4g Touch using XDA Premium
IIRC once the battery is almost full it starts to cycle between charging and not. If you happen to unplug between cycles it will show anywhere between 97 and 99%. At least that was the case with the og epic.

Okk thanks... It charged last night & when I woke up it was @ 99%. I took it off the charger for a little while and plugged it back in & now it says charged. Hmm I'm gonna peep the sitch

My galaxy tab does the same thing. I wouldn't worry about it. My Evo does the same thing, then 10 min later it's down to 90%. I'm really looking forward to much improved battery life when my Epic touch arrives.
Swyped from my HTC Evo 4g via XDA Premium App.
Im pretty sure no android phone charges too 100% really it goes to 95% or spmething like that... To keep your battery alive and not exploding lol.

I can get my phone to say 100% when I use my extended battery wall charger. I charge the battery for about 15 hrs and then I get really good battery life. Which leaves me to believe something is happening inside the phone, or charging cable to stop the phone from being properly charged/fully charged. I can have my EVO off all night charging, cut my phone on and it says 90%. I mean WTF. So happy I ordered the Epic Touch.
There is no denying the joy this phone is bringing to my life... I can deal with the 99%

I had an issue this morning when I took it off the charger and it said 99%, plugged it in and it stuck on "Charging (99%)" and the LED didn't come on. Restarting fixed it, we'll see if it comes back tomorrow morning!
Complete stock. No root or mods and no, it didn't explode...

I noticed that I can get 100% but the instant I removed it from the charger it drops to 99%. Glad to know it's not just me

Samsung purposely put in that charging method to make sure the battery doesn't overcharge. You'll be thanking them in a year when your battery still performs well.
I'm rooted and running Gingersense. I noticed recently my battery wouldn't charge all the way. I cleared the battery cache and powered it down and it finally charged but every so often now it does that where it reaches 76% then stops...

I had a similar issue. Turned out I was using a cord that wasn't letting enough power to the phone.

I had a similar situation where my battery seemed like it wasnt charging. My battery widgets and noti widget were not progressing in percentage. It turned out my charger was going bad.

My battery has some issue while I wipe different ROM
I noticed this issue only when I first flash a new ROM. It goes away, for me, after the first attempt at a full charge and has been charging 100% since.
So my battery life was, decent, I suppose for the most part until the other day it started going to hell. Idk if this was caused at all by the status bar battery mod I flashed, but even when I flashed back to stock it's still horrible. I charged my phone to 100% and let it sit on the charger for an hour just to make it was really full. Then I took it off and went to bed. I woke up 9 hours later and the battery was at 38%. It was on standby the entire night so idk why it drained so much. I looked at the battery stats and android systems took up around 40% and standby took up about 20%. On a day of normal use it goes from 100% to 80% in about 1.5 to 2 hours. I am rooted on stock rom but that's it. Like I said it use to be decent on battery life. Anyone have a suggestion? Should I call samgsung to see if I can get a replacement?
Go to recovery and clear cache and then go to advanced/wipe dalvik cache and then wipe battery stats and then try to fix permissions!

same problem here
Clearing the cache and everything definitely seems to have helped. Had decent battery life yesterday. Today I'm 2 and a half hours in and instead of being at 80% it's only dropped to 94%.

How well is the battery supposed to be while running the universe V1.4. All I get is about 5hrs with everything usually off. Is that normal. Should I get an extended battery? Can someone like me to one? Thanks.

While I cant speak for universe V1.4 that seems to be extremely poor battery life, i am currently on Blazer 4.1 GB, and with Wifi on, and moderate usage getting a whole day or more on a single charge.
have you wiped your batteries memory recently or just flashed the rom? it usually takes 4-5 full charges and discharges after a flash for the phone to re-learn the battery.
I would reset battery data in the recovery and then charge the phone to full and then fully discharge the battery, do this 4-5 times and see how your battery life is then.
Thanks but how am I supposed to reset my battery stats?
Edit:Nvm Got it.

besides going into recovery to wipe battery stats there is an app called battery calibatiion (market). does the same thing.
I was on Blazer GB a long time ago getting great battery life.[1 day]
After flashing all Cyanogen Mod builds for ICS and JB then to Paranoid Android. I have been getting bad battery.
I'm not blaming CM or PA .
Is anyone else getting bad battery life too?
I just flashed a nightly build for CM (12/25 to be exact). Its as bad as the rest after GB.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
That is main reason why I stay with GB rom. I'll flashed every single IcS rom and JB rom. At end the day I'll be back with GB rom mainly Caulklin rom

I don't want to go back to GB, although I know its best for me...lol
I'm used to the JB making it simple.

Is your battery swollen? Take it out and spin it on a table on both sides. If it spins like a top its bad.
Sent from my SPH-L900 using Xparent ICS Tapatalk 2
Sometimes it takes a few cycles to get the battery back into the mood.... Er I mean to display charging % properly.... After flash abuse battery is tends to report false %'s. And no its nothing to do with battery stat calibration.

I used ICS from August to December. The eye candy was nice, and the speed was enjoyable. It felt good to run the latest and greatest.
But the battery life was killing me. I have two batteries, a generic Chinese battery and a bloated OEM battery.
I would go 8 hours a day without even touching my phone, and the battery would be at 20 percent, or even dead. With the bloated battery , max was 3 hours.
I had to go back to gingerbread. Installed calkulins on December 3rd, and Juice defender.
Now I get 10+ hours with my Chinese battery, and 8+ hours with the bloated battery.

Good point! You should definitely take a look to see if the battery is swollen, it is an indicator that the cells are imploding which results in terrible battery life.
I've been hearing a lot of people having problems with their phone turning off right after the boot animation. After the boot animation, the screen flickers and the phone turns off. You will have to plug your phone in to your charger and then turn it back on for your phone to boot up. This is due to your battery going bad. Take it to the nearest Sprint store and they will replace it for free if you have insurance.
Battery is swollen 2 out of 4. 3 are ebay cheap OEM generic LOOKING, but 1 works. Then I have the Sprint offered extended battery works fine.
It has to be that. Some ROMS are killing battery quick too. I use KMS app to kill media server temporarily then it goes back on after a while maybe after 2 hours. But after I've underclocked 200/800 Pegasusq, noop i/o, I've had better life. Not excellent.

Leaked stock TW FL16 doubled my battery life from snipers latest PA 2.5.6. Main difference? Less time "awake" in battery stats. I switched back to stock ICS under same conditions (apps, gps, Wi-Fi on even when not connected) and the leaked stock TW FL 16 was still better. "Android OS" and "Android system" dropped to 4th and 5th on battery consumption percentages. Can't freakin wait till the AWESOME developers that support this device get source code. Then we'll see good battery life again. Maybe not GB good, but better than lately.

I'm going to try that modem, or try flashing the kernel on my PA. Might not work, but I gotta try.
