Trying to Unlock: Connection Problem or invalid mmi code - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I enter the code # 7 4 6 5 6 2 5 * 6 3 8 * #, that supposed to bring me to unlock code screen and get "Connection Problem or invalid mmi code" message.
Any soultions? Using stock 4.0.4 ATT, rooted, if it matters. UCLG1
Don't have non ATT card to try unlock without this code string.

just go to a Tmobile store and ask to borrow a sim...thats what I did and the rep took her sim out and tossed it to me. Very cool.

The North America versions don't use a dialer code for the unlock prompt. The only way is to put in a 'foriegn' sim. I also went to a tmobile store to borrow a sim for my unlock
Sent from my Galaxy S3 running DietICS

Just asked from my colleague to use his Verizon micro SIM.
Turned the phone on, entered unlock code and it's done!

I wanted to unlock my AT&T Vivid so I could sell it, I went to the T-mobile store, told them what I needed and they gave me a sim card, I tried to pay for it but their computer system would not let them charge me.I got a brand new unactivated sim card.
Does the Galaxy S3 use a micro sim or a mini or what ever it is called??? I sure hope I do not have to get a new sim that will not work in my Nexus when I get my Galaxy S3!!!

S3 does not want to unlock, tried different methods

I just repaired the screen on this Galaxy that was giving to me, its a i747 ATnT S3. I want to unlock it so I can use it on TMobil
So I went on ebay and I ordered an unlock code, 5 bucks is no big deal, does not work. Instructions says
Method one
1. Insert Unauthorized Sim Card into device
2. Power on the device
3. Enter Unlock Code when prompted
4. Device should be unlock if "Code Accepted"
Error I get is that the code is wrong. I tripled checked it, it is correct.
Method 2
1. Turn ON your phone Authorized Sim Card
2. Type #7465625*638*CODE# (CODE is the Unlock Code I sent you)
3. Device should say "Network Lock Deactivated"
4. The phone may reboot and the unlock is completed
I get an error "connection problem or imvalid MMI code"
There is more here http://ebay.unlockfusion.net/#help
I tried with and without a sim card and it does not work. The sim card I used from ATnT does not have DATA but I can make calls. I also tried using my TMobil. Nothing works. Can anyone help me?
I called him ATnT, I asked for an unlock code, they gave one to me, BUT, the one they gave me is the same one I got from Ebay, and they said to insert a none atnt sim card, when it asks you for unlock code, you enter it, and thats it. But I get an error
"Network unlock request unsuccessful"
Why am I getting this error code?
Are you on a custom ROM? If so, you may wanna jump back over to TouchWiz for the unlock...
This is so frustrating I paid 220 to get this repaired and I can't even use it.
Before I was on stock, now I am using touchwiz, which I got from this Dev Thread, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2033132
I inserted a valid ATnT sim card courtesy of my mother. I Can make calls, use the web, and so on. So I should be able to unlock it using this method
1. Turn ON your phone Authorized Sim Card
2. Type #7465625*638*CODE# (CODE is the Unlock Code I sent you)
3. Device should say "Network Lock Deactivated"
4. The phone may reboot and the unlock is completed
The error I get, "Connection problem or invalid MMI code"
Why am I getting this error?
I also tried inserting an unauthorized sim card, my tmobil sim card, when it ask me for an unlock code, when I enter the unlock code, I get this error
"Network unlock request unsuccessful"
Do I have a phone that is just not unlockable? This is very frustrating... Any help would greatly be apprecaited

Why are you gonna sell it? That seems like a huge waste. Try this method

sim unlocking problems

I've tried unlocking my AT&T Galaxy Note 2 using service mode. I downgraded the phones modem to the 4.1.1 version and it worked. I used my metroPCS sim card and the phone did not ask for the code but it said phone not allowed MM#6. When I try to call someone it says emergency calls only. I was wondering if it is because the phone is still under contract or because I'm supposed to use a blank sim card and not one thats already been used. Please help.

Unlocking SM-T217S Galaxy Tab 3 Sprint.

I have the MSL code but when I put a sim card in for ATT and reset the device it says invalid sim card. I never get an option to enter the code in to unlock the device for another carrier. I am stock firmware not rooted. I actually tried loading ATT stock firmware on to the tablet and that didn't work at all. I can't take it to sprint because the person I bought it from is not in good standing with them.
Any help would be awesome!
I know this is old, but did you ever get your tablet sim unlocked?
I have one I have been trying to get unlocked, using an idoneapps unlocking app to debrand and unlock my tablet. I’ve run the app several times and while it got rid of the sprint branding and boot image, and says sim unlock successful, I keep getting invalid SIM card error.
ive reset network settings, my tablet is stock 4.4.2 firmware and rooted.

Issues with unlock code

Hey guys I purchased a unlock code for my phone and went through the steps of removing my Sim card and putting a different Sim card in, rebooted the one and entered the code and it states that it failed.
It's a att note 4 sm n910a on the straight talk network using one of their Sim kits.
Am I missing anything?

Unlocked HTC 10 that used to be on ATT, where do i put the unlock code?

AT&T has given me an unlock code to release the phone so i can use it on sprint. The instructions say that a prompt should appear when putting in the sim, but nothing has happened. I was wondering if there was a way to force the prompt so I can input the code.
I'm on ICE rom, could that be a reason why I'm not getting the prompt? Can I go to the AT&T store with the unlock code and have them sim unlock it?
thanks.

Are you sure the phone is locked to AT&T? You title says "Unlocked HTC 10....". Your device could already be unlocked. Also, which sim card are you inserting and expecting code prompt to appear?
This is how it is normally done:
Lets say your device is locked to AT&T at the moment. You have to put another carrier's sim card(T-Mobile for example), then the code prompt should appear on the screen asking for the code.
Att never carried this phone...so how could they give you an unlock code? None are simlocked to ATT.
The guy I originally bought the phone from purchased the phone from HTC.com, which he then activated on att. when I bought the phone from him and tried to activate it on sprint, sprint told me the phone was carrier locked to att and I would have to request for an unlock code.
my unlock release went through and they emailed me the code, but when I put in my sprint sim card that sprint sent to me, there is no prompt that appears where I can put the 8 digit unlock code.

yeah I didn't know they did simlock either but I guess when you use a phone on their network it does.
when I tried to activate on sprint they said I had to take care of the att lock first. I have the unlock code but no idea where to use it. do I need to do something through the dialer?
Put Sprint sim in the device boot it up... IF theres a lock on the sim slot, it should ask for an unlock code which is input through the dialer when prompted

If device was bought from htc.com, then it should be unlocked already. I believe the radio frequency in your phone may not be fully compatible with Sprint.
Just check HTC's website and you will see that they offer separate models for Verizon and Sprint. - http://www.htc.com/us/go/buy-htc-10/
For example I have a T-Mobile service, so I purchased an unlocked HTC 10 which is compatible with AT&T as well. If I would have another carrier, such as Verizon or Sprint, then I would choose accordingly.
