Bugmailer going off all the time - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Running AOKP JB/Franco. My bugmailer goes off all the time, randomly. All the bug reports say: Failed to open the file (Error, the file is too large).
I don't know what is causing this, how can I find out?

Nvm its says that because of the app I opened it with. The bug report is huge. I'm gonna disable the bug mailer now.

I'm having this same issue and can't find the option to disable this as I could with AOKP ICS Milestone 6. Did you figure out how to do it ?

No offense but if you can't replicate it then there is no use discussing it.

App bug, not 4.0.4 bug.

Because if you can't replicate something, it's not a bug. It could be something with a certain users own environment/setup.
I've never had that occur, so unless one were to go line by line, app by app to see what's causing it, how can you call it a bug? It could be another app that's causing the issue.

Unless you understand the nature of the bug, perhaps you are not reproducing the correct conditions for it to occur.
That blanket statement is fairly inaccurate.
Happened to me before, it's due to the rotation sensor getting confused. It thinks it's in horizontal mode; just turn it to the side and back vertical again and it clears it right up. Nothing major.

Agreed, however the same can be said if you call something a bug without evidence to support it.
The word "bug" is used far too often in my opinion.
It's just like when you file a bug report for cyanogen nighties, they require you to be able to replicate it, for it to be considered an issue.

Open maps once and let it find your location. That should keep it from showing up in your recent apps all of the time.

Has anyone found a fix for their screen staying on?

I know its been reported with jelly bean that the screen is unable to turn off normally and you have to push the power button to turn it off. Currently the only fix I know of is a reboot. Anyone with any other tips??
Mine works fine, did you flash any mods or some kind of lock screen app?

Yes, I'm on Wicked Sensations v1.2 right now. But i've read that a few people have been having this issue with JB. I just started using XDA so I can't post on the OP yet so thats why I posted here. Was just hoping for some feedback and opinions. I have flashed a few mods on it, but none seem to be the problem...i dont think. haha

Yeah that was the first setting I tried, changed it to 15 sec to see if it works and it still stayed awake
Thanks!

haha I got tired of guessing what 'could' be causing the problem so I did a clean wipe and flash and it hasn't happened since
Thanks

I thought that may be been the culprit but the setting was off
Thanks
I'm having the same problem
I am not rooted and running stock jelly bean (ota version that I installed early because I was too impatient for them to push it to my phone). I have noticed my screen randomly staying on, too. It's very annoying because sometimes I don't notice until my battery is dead. A reboot fixes it temporarily, but I'd love a permanent fix if anyone has any additional ideas! Thanks! I've tried all the obvious settings, but can't figure it out. Is there an app that can help me figure out what the culprit might be?
(And can I just say, an edit to a post ought not fall under the "wait five minute" rule for new posters. Just my two cents .)

Try rebooting. I think it's a bug in the build from China this week.

I could not get a handle on whats going on with it. Sometimes it snaps on, other times it takes forever or not at all. It's really weird. Right now I'm tethered over wifi so it's working.

Known current issue with the rom. It doesn't handle the /0 folder properly. I just formatted my sdcard to fix the issue, then pulled my data back over.
This is only the 2nd public build for GNex that China has made, so there are gonna be bugs.

init.d support, fixed GPS, fixed TCDMA-64, some kernel optimizations, WAY more stock icons, and weather enabled lockscreen (still not perfect on that,) hosts file patched to block ads, AdFree app is installed (can't get it from Play Store anymore.)
Next build should have a lot more though.

I tried it but no WiFi killed it for me. Probably will kill it for everyone else too. Aside from that, I agree it's a good port.

[Q] Menu softkey not working in CM 10.2

Hello. I installed the official CM10.2 nightly build today, and everything is running great except for this one problem. I assume this is the case in all apps, but I'm not sure. In google apps, the menu key is built in for 4.3, so it's fine there. However, when I go into Amazon Appstore and hit the menu key, no options appear... I even went to the interface settings in 4.3 and added a menu softkey, but it doesn't do anything when pressed. Does anyone else have this issue or a solution? Thanks!
Uninstall, reinstall. If it doesn't work, force stop, re launch.
Sent from my Amazon Kindle Fire using xda app-developers app
Okay, I'll try that tomorrow. I'll download a new nightly and try it out. So nobody else has this issue?
My home build of cm 10.2 is doing the same thing on the past two builds... I suppose something broke that feature hoping it gets sorted out soon

oh, ok! So maybe I don't need to reinstall..? Does that mean your cm 10.2 menu softkey used to work? If so that gives me hope as soon as I hit 10 posts I'll try to mention it in the dev forum haha

yes it used to work and the builds ive made in the past 2 days have caused that feature to be unusable. I really have no idea why or how to fix it though.
Same problem here. Latest nightly didn't help. Does anybody have any idea?

[4.3]Fix for Wifi Scanning (Testers needed)

As many of you know, since the 4.3 update, WiFi on the galaxy nexus stops automatically scanning after going into deep sleep. The only way to get it to scan again is to go into the WiFi menu or toggle it on and off. Let's try to find which change in 4.3 broke this on the galaxy nexus.
I have been looking through the changes that have been made between 4.2 and 4.3 to how wifi is handled and may have found what is causing the issue.
I think I may have found something. In /system/etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant_overlay.conf
Theres a line:
disable_scan_offload=1 (has to do with allowing scanning to be offloaded to the driver)
This line didn't exist in 4.2.2. Change it to 0 and reboot and see if your wifi scanning doesn't stop working after a while.
I just ran an errand and it connected perfect when I got home which is usually when it stops working. I need further testing but would appreciate some more testers to see if there's a real change in behavior.

No its not fixed in 4.3.1. I am on cm10.2 4.3.1 and without this modification it definitely stopped scanning today.

Would it be possible to find a fix for the data hand off issue using the same thought process? A simple edit to a text file and problem solved? Wouldn't that be nice!

Unfortunately I had it stop scanning yesterday. I gotta look more deeply.
I don't quite understand what you mean by this. Are you saying that if you go into deep sleep WiFi just stops working or something?
Are you by chance thinking of this?: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42665427&postcount=2459
Also in WiFi settings on 4.3 there are more options there than there was with 4.2, just try looking through them, I believe there's even ones for battery savings or something. Also is a setting to allow WiFi to turn itself on to get a more accurate location automatically or something, among other things.
