someone is offering to swap his T3 one x with my at&t one x. Should I go for it?
is there still wifi issues? is the new sense 4.1 firmware a lot better?
There shouldn't be any Wifi issues if you get one of the new batch HOX's. I have a SH242 device with no wifi problem.
By playing with the international HOX, you get to play with the dozens of ROMs XDA cooks came up with, you can even play with the leaked software (Sense 4.1) or Jellybean from AOSP/AOKP.
I have the international HOX, its very fun, but all you need to think is your sacrifice on your 4G LTE speeds and your Snapdragon S4 processor.

Also yeah the new 2.17 build is just amazing. That's literally how I can describe it. Just a different phone.

So I've been looking around and I've noticed the trouble the the devs are going through and I've seen so some other phones getting sense 3.6 instead of 4.0, so has anybody really thought about porting 3.6?

nope not really at all. 3.6 was, if I am not mistaken, was a leak to begin with. the HTC one is the first phone with sense 4.0. phones like the Rezound haven't even gotten official ICS yet so if it happens it'll be after a 3.6/4.0 ota
PureMotive said in the dev thread (HTC PRIMO RUU development I think) that he was going to try porting 3.6 as newtoroot said it should be easier than 4.0.

Vivid got Sense 3.6 and Android 4.0.
Thanks for clarifying that one Tiny I couldn't remember if there was an official release for anything or just a couple leaks. It might be an ATT phone but its still portable i guess
Official Rezound update will be Sense 3.6. It may be easier to port, but unlike Sense 4, there's not too many visual changes from the gingerbread Sense 3.5.

I do know there's a group of people who have it working on the global version of the S3. They're still working to bring it to the US.

What ever happened to that? Did anyone ever get it running?
I stopped keeping up with it. I've been using AOKP on this phone and I'm done with manufacturer's UIs.

I have always been more of a SENSE guy, but I am running IceColdJelly now because I am not trilled about upgrading my hboot to the newer version.
Will there be JB SENSE ROM that doesn't require upgraded hboot in the future? Or is this it?
Nope. Probably Not.
This is it. Jb sense roms need upgraded firmware and that means upgrading hboot.

If u can start working on it it would be awesome..nothing like dat..and moreover the DEVs here will too pitch in too help u i guesss
Ja pierdole następny...
There were tons of threads like this, people were saying that someone is working on it but its not worth a shot, as htc should update Hox to sense 5 officially, porting would take a lot of time and work as there is no device with sense 5 and Hox's resolution and SoC

Sensation or evo 3d I don't really remember has a ported sense 5.0 and with the same or less resolution
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
One simple question:
Why do a porting when we'll receive the official sense 5 (and, maybe, with android 4.2.2) and all devs can cook rom?

Yeep, you're right, but remember that sensation and evo 3D have a snapdragon, not a tegra 3

Does anyone think our phone will be able to run Android L? Or is it time to retire this phone and buy a new one?

Who knows. So far every update has been brought to the S2 from the devs.
But....the s2 is quite dated now. If you can get a new phone, I would. You'll be amazed. Lol
The Moto X and N5 are great, and cheap. If buying outright that is.

I am positive that our phone will receive Android L (although it may have to wait until its pushed into AOSP). There are numerous devs providing wide range of different Roms for our device. I find it extremely unlikely that all devs will discontinue support for a device whose hardware can support Android L. When KitKat was released a Cyanogenmod 11 ROM was made available in less than a week.
If you wish to upgrade, dev support should not be one of the reasons you choose to do so.

Yeah I agree. But I don't think we will until its available in AOSP. Porting the preview images from the Nexus 5 to the Nexus 4 hasn't been completed yet which doesn't give me much hope for our Hercules receiving a port from the Nexus 5 images. Then again this is a massive update so porting is bound to take longer than it did for KitKat.
I'm dying to get my hands on Android L though .-.
