ClockWorkMod v6.x.x - Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660

I'm pretty sure this can be done? Someone can update the CWM on our Gio by using the Guide from koush
Once this is done, build, and tested, notify me, "koush", on Github and I can build official releases and add ROM Manager support!

(LOL, why don't we have official? -_- I think if we get this official, we'll have a chance to get official CM7 also... :fingers-crossed

Who cares about budget phone? Who cares it's almost the same phone as Ace? Nobody. Gio is twice cheaper than Ace and that's why nobody will ever give us something official...

Hmm, why cant you?!

Thanks to him, we can backup SD-CARD files and test the Recovery! :highfive:
(BTW, have you told koush about our unofficial CWM? Maybe he'll consider....)

well, about official cm7. i can make it official. but it doesnt make any sense.
most cyanogenmod team has abandoned it, since many devs interested with jellybean now. thats why im not push it to cm gerrit.
do you want to test it?? i'll upload it if you want. but i'm not tested it before

The recovery boots and these are the bugs:
running in a weird resolution
cannot flash zips
Also after installing the recovery I could no longer boot into the OS although I think its because i'm using CM10.

I agree....
there should always be a warning
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dd_(Unix)
It is jokingly said that dd stands for "disk destroyer", "data destroyer", "death and destruction", or "delete data", since when used for low-level operations on hard disks, a small mistake, such as reversing the if and of (input and output) parameters, could result in the loss of some or all data on a disk.

Help With DXLF2 boot.img

Help me please. I am cooking a custom ROM that will be based on stock DXLF2. Problem is, dsixda kitchen's latest version posted last July 2012 is unable to utilize the boot.img to extract the kernel and ramdisk (kitchen says the boot.img format is unsupported). I want to utilize the kernel I compiled. If you must know, I use ubuntu linux as a virtualbox guest (12.04).
All my thanks for the day will go to the fellow who could provide me with a solution as well as an explanation. Thanks and more power to everybody!

well for 4.2.2 roms u need a 4.2.2 kernel
and Paranoid Android 4.2.2 is not stable(doesnt boot even with kernel)
so if u want a working phone, flash A sense ROM since you're already on Titanium KISS kernel
and for jelly bean, u can try Shpongle
but remember to flash the correct kernel

It looks like according to the author of United Basics ROM, he's running 2.6.3.1, at least that's what his signature says.
DEVICE: Samsung Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile)
ROM: United Basics v4.0
RECOVERY: TWRP 2.6.3.1
