I flashed an inverted dialer/contacts .zip but apparently it doesnt work on my rom (jbsourcery). Contacts worked fine but now i dont have any phone app. Can somebody please package the phone apk into a flashable zip for me? Id rather not flash the whole gapps package because i have alot of other modded gapps installed. When i extract the gapps package i dont see a standalone phone apk so i am not sure exactly what all i am looking for or else i would do it myself. Thanks for the help.
Flashing gapps package did not restore the dialer either
Phone.apk is part of the ROM zip, not gapps. either re-flash your ROM and gapps/modded gapps, or you can pull the original apk from the ROM.

Found the .apk from an old thread. Doubt the widget changed from Froyo to Gingerbread.
Use a file manager like Root Explorer and push to /system/app. You may need to reboot afterwards.

Hmm, well try the BuddiesNow.apk from this zip file. You can pull the apk from the zip or flash the entire zip in CWM.
This zip file originated from the CleanGB rom thread.

U can download a gapps zip and replace the apps with whatever apks u would want but I think most gapps zips will install them in system but I'm not sure, you could try the inverted gapps as I'm pretty sure those install in data to make them more easily removeable later
Just add them to the ROM before you flash it in the System/App folder

Can you clarify the question? Do you mean a zip of apps that you just don't want to forget to install or do you mean actually mean a flashable zip like some of the other guys mentioned?

The page you linked to goes to a 404 error, so I can't comment specifically.
If the theme comes in a .zip package then generally you flash it from cwm as you do a new rom.
Things to be careful of - themes are usually (? always, I've not specifically check) rom & version specific - if you flash them to a different rom or even to another version of the same rom they won't work properly and make bork your phone.
Another thing that could bork it is a bad download - did you check the md5 sum?
Always make a nandroid backup before installing a new theme (or rom) so if it doesn't work you can get back to where you were before - afaik there's no way to uninstall a .zip you've flashed.
Can someone load up a stock GSM 4.0.4 systemUI? I put this mod on my phone last night that was suppose to ONLY be a battery percentage mod but ended up changing all my UI buttons. I hate it. And like a dumbass, I didn't backup before I flashed it.
So if anyone can upload a zip file of the stock 4.0.4 systemUI that I can apply via CWM would be great. ( I have the GSM nexus so I need the systemUI from it a verizon or sprint UI wont help me)

Im on stock rom. So it should have been an odex. But i flashed it in CWM and everything works fine. I had always though that if you flashed a deodex on an odex ROM it wouldnt boot, but it seems eveything is fine.

Just for re-odex your SystemUI.apk?I've tested this on a deoxeded rom with no issue,but on also an odexed rom with just an app deodexed,I don't know...Backup before,if you want to test

Instead of trying to re-odex the file, why not just grab it directly from the stock image?
Download the factory images from here, extract the system.img from within, convert it to an .ext4.img by using this and then (for Windows users) use this to mount the .ext4.img and extract the file.
Know you've learned how to grab any file from the stock images in case you mess up any of your files...
I'm using freeza's stock rooted LI3 ROM and I'm having a problem with google talk. I have reached the end of my limited troubleshooting abilities and the only idea I have left is trying to reinstall talk but it's not in the market so I was thinking of flashing the gapps zip here.
Can I flash that gapps zip dirty? Will I have a problem with it being a gapps zip from JB? If so, can someone point me to a gapps zip that will work with LI3? I looked some, but didn't see any custom rom threads that were based on LI3 with a link to a gapps zip.
BTW, here is my problem. As far as I know, everything else on the phone is working and logging into talk from my desktop works fine. When I open Talk on my phone and sign on, I get an inactive indicator (grey circles with an x in them) on all of my friends and my own status indicator.
You should be fine flashing dirty. Wiping cache/dalvik wouldnt hurt. But even that shouldnt be nessessary

you didnt see anything linked to li3 cuz thats touchwiz. gapps are for aosp. They will still work on touchwiz but you dont need to flash them like on aosp
