Stock RED MMS.apk - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

OK so I'm working on an entire theme for cm 10 . Last night I was playing around for MMS. You will see a red icon to launch the app and some other changes.
Still a working progress but I'm happy with this so far.
Download and push to system/app fix permissions reboot done.
Currently supporting cm10. Haven't tested other ROMs yet. Feedback welcome.

What is framework–res?
Sent from my SGH-T999 or GT-P3113 using xda premium

Its where the majority of your icons are at. For example the status bar icons. The battery icons. You could extract ut from your custome rom. System/framework/framework-res.apk. try it with winzip or something so you can see for yourself.

Can't theme swype

Found a few MM themes for swype beta 3.0 but get major FC issues after applying. Can swype be themed on this fone?
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA App
Anyone?
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA App
Yes theming swype beta is a drag but i managed to get it working on my droid x.
It requires a clean copy of the beta first and i only replaced the png images and nothing else using root explorer
1. move /data/data/com.swype.android.inputmethod/lib/libSwypeCore.3.6.84.26668.so to /system/lib
2. copy /data/app/com.swype.android.inputmethod-1.apk to /system/app and rename to Swype.apk
You can now modify Swype.apk without the FC problems don't forget to fix the permissions and to reboot
Thnx. Saw no mention of that first step anywhere. letcha know how it wrks
Sent from my Incredible 2 using XDA App
Wrked great. Thanks much, really appreciate it. two things held me up. Swype.apk can't be capitalized. And that lib file I never would have thought of that

Lol no problem...
What theme did you use
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App

Swype themes

So ive looked up and downloaded a few themes and got them to pop up, but it says that swype needs to be dated. Anyone know how to updated it so swype actually works or has updated themes?

I have no idea if this will work or not but this is a download link for a .zip file with 4 swype themes. unzip, select the one u want & install like a normal app. may not be what u want but it works for me. Good luck.

How to restore dialer pad icon on CM10

I did a clean install of cm10 preview. Never touched the modern. Flashed nightly 18 and JusTunBean inverted apps.
After reboot the phone icon that sits in the launch tray disappeared. How do I get that back?
I reverted to back up and the icon reappeared but when pressed it said app not installed.
Anyone?
Tried installing it from the system/app folder and still nothing. I can get to the dial pad from the messaging app so i know it's there and working so where is the icon for the launch tray so i can launch the it from directly...this is driving me nuts!

Replace the phone.apk and contacts.apk with the ones from your cm10 ROM. Or take them out of the justinbean gapps. Its more than likely the contacts.apk that is not comparable with your phone, which will break the phone.apk and make it disappear. Once you do that boot to cwm and do a full wipe. Then flash ROM and then justinbean gapps and reboot and all will be good in the hood.

Looking for SMS/MMS app that you can theme yourself.

I can't remember which ROM it was on but it had a stock SMS MMS app that you could pick all your own colors for text, background and even emojis . can someone please hook me up with the apk. I like stock apps that can be themed. Thanks.

Morphology let's you theme the stock mms apk. But doesn't enable emojis.

I think any AOSP ROM gives you this option. All the ones I have tried anyway. CM, AOKP, PA.......

MIUI...
You should try handcent. Has more theming options than you can dream of and you can make it look like stock pretty much. Plus backups are easier using a non-system app.
Blackbean most likely

Extract the rom zip to a folder on your desktop. Open it up. Look inside for the apk you'd like. Copy it and place in a folder on your SD card. Then use an app like root browser to move it to (system/apps)

Fully theme able mms app with blue icon

Hey guys and gals I've been using this mms app since i had my s3.it is fully themeable put your own pictures of colors in the background of all parts even the pop up. I take no credit for this. It's not my work but i haven't seen it asking in a while. Just replace your stock mms with this in your system apps folder and fix permissions (rw+r+r) reboot and theme away. If anyone knows who originally put this together let me know so i can give them the credit they are due. Don't forget to click thanks if you like it too

You can try this one, same thing but pulled from a N4 rom so MMS should work fine. Use the custommmsmod.zip
