Play Store Force cloe no matter what - Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660

I flashed my gio with JB Maclaw ROM yesterday than i decided to revert back to CM 7.2
but my PLAY Store keeps getting Force Close (com.android.vending) no matter what i do i did formated data/cache/system/sd-ext/dalvik fixed permisions reflashed other CM7.2 roms and same error keeps popin. I am out options don't know what to do.

After play store update 3.8.17 on sunday mine didn't work neither. I flashed the rom again and installed another app2sd script cause the problem was with mount2sd... my play store app was always deleted from data/app and sd-ext-app.

Did you try going into recovery wiping davlik cache and fixing permission? u can also go to settings then application manager then google play store clear daa and clear cache...restart phone see if it works.
Or try to flash the ROM and gapps (goomanager) for that android version. It won't make them appear twice it will just write them to your phone.
BTW what's the error message your getting? If this don't work I'll see if there's another solution.

There's also a standalone play store you can try to install. Its In themes and apps section.

Googleplay store

i installed a modded version but it recently update.
Im having problems with my play store it was recently updated but every time i reboot my phone it keeps reverting to 3.5.19 then i reboot again it to newer one again 3.9.16 and it just keeps doing that
how can i get it to stay on one version?
edit:- i figured out in my system/app i have a file called 'phonesky and vending', is it ok to delete the phonesky and everything should go back to normal? Also if i installed another mod, would you suggest renaming from phonesky to vending in systen/app? or just keep them both seperate.

If you're on ICS or higher, I'd go with Phonesky.apk. If you're on GB, I'd go with Vending.apk. It's definitely OK and recommended to only have one of the two, regardless of which you pick

Play store won't update itself

I recently installed ParanoidAndroid from this thread on my Desire Z.
But since I installed this rom, the Play Store won't update anymore, it's currently stuck at version 3.5.15.
I was previously running Virtuous Quattro in which the Play Store was updating just fine.
What should I do to make the Play Store auto update again? I do miss the feature to remove apps from My Apps.
Reinstall GApps from recovery, I always use the ones from CyanogenMod Wiki

Play Store force closes

Using the latest Tiny 10.1, my play store force closes.
I've cleared data and cache for both the app itself and my phone, and reflashed the latest gapps.
The interesting thing to me is that I can't seem to sideload any apks, even if I'm not going through the store. I downloaded and tried to install the latest swiftkey flow, and as I try to run the apk, I get three or four warnings that the play store has stopped working. Similarly, just to test I downloaded the latest play store apk I could find, but got the same error.
EDIT: wiped and reinstalled and this problem has been solved.

I had the same issue after flashing the 01102013 ROM. Clearing Cache and Data didn't work. It was only after selecting uninstall updates to the Play Store did it resolve itself. Previous ROM and gapps that worked for me was 1227. I never tried the experimental.
I hope tiny4579 follows this thread. Your ROM is fantastic!

Using any ext4 mods available? Before I can try to assist, I need to know.
No, I haven't flashed any ext4 mods. I am thinking about using one of the options. I do use a cache cleaner to keep those to a minimum.
I waited for this latest ROM to fix a problem with GPS and Endomondo according to posts about CM 10.1. It would read 0.1km as 1.0km. That's now fixed, although riding my bike at 238 mph certainly upped my average.

Play Store And Gmail not working

..

Since yesterday my play store and gmail stopped working.
I am on resurrection remix 5.0.7.
I think the problem is with adblock.I had installed rom toolbox and enabled adblock. Then without disabling adblock I uninstalled rom toolbox.
I dont know whether clearing hosts file will do it.
Is there any way to get play store running?I had this problem before and flashing a new rom fixed it but i dont want to wipe my data or flash a new rom now.
I tried deleting cache, data, updates of play store and play services but no luck.
Any solutions?
