Hey guys, wow, finally ICS has come out, in a way or another... !!
I am wondering, if people having GPS issues (there were many of us, until one month ago, when I was still able to check the forum regularly) with the Gingerbread rom, now are having good GPS with ICS.
This was especially an issue for non USA people...... can anyone chime in?
Thank you!!!
Tony
Why opening a new thread for this?
Moreover why everyone opening one thread per one single, simple question?

Hi guys,
As you probably figured, I am new to this forum and to XDA. I am waiting delivery. I've also ordered a 1Gb microSD card from ebay....unbranded samsung chip I thing...it was a fiver so I thought what the heck.
I see lots of post here talk about unlocking, ExtRom, Bootloader etc....
What I would like to know is even though the o2 XDA is unlocked, is the software locked in someway so the one is no able to install custom rom?
What are ExtRom's?
I am hopeing to use the GPS for hiking and also like a A-Z, does it give you accurate reading?
Can you guys point me to the reading materials to brush up on XDA?
Thanks in advance.

Yes it's accurate. You will need two different pieces of software for hiking and for A-Z type navigation.
I use Memory Map with OSGB mapping for "off-road" and Co-Pilot for "on-road".
There are other options for each type of use.

yeah I just saw that, so if your running a De-Odexed Rom you can do that,
But what about the stock Epics.. running Odexed?
I actually would like to see single digit number also... YOu did a great job btw.
I'll see if I can give a crack at it.. don't know where to start so i'll be searching the forums any help is appreciated.
Hey guys, i cant unlock my bootloader on my arc S therefore i have to use a stock based rom. And my question is which is the best?
ive used JJ and now im using Beautiful ICS. But which one has more features and a good support with updates?
i thing the jj Rom had the last update a half year ago.
so pls give me some information
thx for reply

When will people learn? There is no best ROM. Go and try them out yourself, there is no best for everybody. Download one, give it a try, if you like it, keep it, if you don't, take another one. We can't tell you, which one is the best.
Besides, there have been many topics about that. Use search tool, you will see all such topics are locked for a reason. And so will this one.
This kind of questions keep coming out on Q&A. We need to add a sticky about this best rom issue.
Need mod to close thread.

I just finished chatting with Presley, one of the many live technical support people and I asked him a few questions about the 4.4 KitKat update release date and this was his reply..

cant see the pic
Stupid tapatalk app won't show pictures in threads anymore. The update to fix this actually broke it. I can't see it either.
Edit: 3-4 weeks. Sounds like a standard "shut the customer up" response to me.
Do you have any idea about PDA No?

Not a fan of the broken lined signal or WiFi icons. I much prefer stock Android's filled out white icons. Any simple way to fix that? Thought I saw a screenshot where someone had theirs setup like that, but can no longer find it.
I have never seen a wifi signal before, i have unlimited data so no need for it. Send a pic

Sorry for bumping this old thread but can anyone give me information on how to do this?
Just got my HTC 10 the other day and seems I'll be needing to root this phone to get rid of some minor issues.
