If you are pure stock rooted then you will need to either deodex your phone, flash the deodexed FC09 ROM in development then flash a theme, or flash a custom ROM with percentage. Otherwise there are battery percentage apps in Play store that will add a percentage to your status bar or as a widget. You can try the UOT Kitchen which claims to edit odexed files but I never tried it.

If you're into custom ROMs the Blazer rom will do it.
I went with Calkuins and LOVE it... thanks though.

I noticed there was a major battery drain issue for my phone with cm10 ROM now. I looked at battery in settings and it said screen was taking over 60% of my battery!. I tried Battery calibration and still didn't do anything. Any help?
Download GSam battery monitor from the market and find what's sucking the battery

Hey do you know of some app or something that will help battery life?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
There are several apps out there. Personally I don't use them. Some tips would be to turn off all location services in settings and raise or turn off auto refresh intervals of apps and/ or widgets

Probably. I haven't ran cm10 in awhile but if the updates re-write system files then most likely that mod will be erased each time.

You can also decompile systemui on your own and do whatever mods you wish it's what I do. It's fun as well!

Are you able to deccompile a tw ROM and change the notification bar to an aosp style? Like for instance... Having an image as the notification background? I know it would be way too much work to have the tiles and the abilty to swap from tiles to notifications... But if I could customize the notification bar like that, I may go back to wicked. I'm not asking for a tutorial... Just if it can be done.
BTW your sig made me LMAO

Hang on for a little while there is a fully aosp look theme for tw coming out ill link you to the thread ! But you need to be deodexed for that or flash a custom rom

I know about the deodexed part... Was wondering if I could decompile a custom tw ROMs systemui.apk and change the notification bar to mimick the aosp 4.2 notification bar... At least the background image
