You don't need a video. Read, re-read, re-re-read again this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626895
If you have a specific issue, post again. Most issues have been asked and answered ~1000 times at this point though and can be found with a simple search.
Do not use a toolkit.

Three words.
Galaxy Nexus Toolkit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392310
I wouldn't recommend using a Toolkit on your first time root/flash. There are a lot of tutorials around (stickies in the Q&A section).

Follow this guide.
I agree, especially on this phone, I would learn to do it manually for your first time. Xda, droid-life and many sites have very detailed guides.

Hey guys, I just flashed AOKP on my Glaxay s3, when I tried to look for the stock camera app it wasn't there. I also wanted to know how I can update AOKP to milestone jelly bean 1, thanks guys!
Stock camera app isn't gonna be on that rom and second you won't able to just "update" to milestone they are different roms. You'll have to wipe and flash milestone. Read a bit and you'll discover things

You must flash a .zip containing GAPPS after you flash your ROM while in recovery. Doing so will add: Play Store, Camera, Gallery, etc.
And I agree with the poster above; make yourself at home around the forums here and you will find a wealth of information.
There are "noob" guides for people new to flashing that will explain what you've asked and more. I'm on break at work so no time to look them up but search "Noob Guide" or maybe someone will post a link to one. Good luck and happy flashin'.

If you don't find/want the stock camera app you can use Camera ICS (link below) from Moblynx. It's somewhat similar. I used it on Atrix 2 and Atrix HD because their camera apps weren't so good.

Hi,
How can I root GN android 4.2.2.
my device is already unlocked. I tried GN toolkit but the latest android is not available.
your help is highly appreciated.
Root it like every other nexus device:
fastboot flash a custom recovery
reboot recovery
flash supersu.zip
Learn adb and fastboot. Toolkits are just about the worst thing XDA has ever birthed. If you can't learn to use a basic command prompt you definitely shouldn't be rooting or otherwise modifying your device.

with the release of 4.2.2, it has become evident that 99% of the people here arent interested in learning anything. you should see the Nexus 7 section. The mods wont even do anything over there.

problems with your post
1) you never mentioned what you tried
2) you didnt even take the advice in this thread
3) you didnt read the thread at the top of the QA forum

Everybody relax. Dude asked a question.. The purpose of the forum is to provide help to new users to get them caught up, not to disrespect someone who asks a question, how did you learn "zep?"
Regardless of him/her reading the QA, the question was answered already.

I do not know the name of what I tried but got them from this forum and also another one from here http://www.ngbtips.com/root-jdq-android-4-2-2-on-galaxy-nexus-i9250.html which didn't work for me. My phone showed me the roboto with a warning sign and a "no command" at the bottom while the cmd window was shaping "waiting for device".

Let's see;
A. There's 3 stickies and < infinity threads about this topic.
B. His question was answered WITHIN THIS THREAD.
C. You answered the same question on this same page yourself
D. Its not xdaNannies.
So no.
If somebody isn't capable of being self sufficient for the < 10 minutes the rooting/unlocking process takes what hope do they have of ever contributing anything other than duplicate threads?

he's still correct. xda was not founded to be a help site for your phone. it was meant for developers. hence the name.

I tried to install latest illusion and liquid JB 2.4 but dont like them, internet doesnt work on liquid jb and there is also no market app on either one, not sure if its the ROMS or my installation.
Now can any one plese help me to find the rom that has best features (good bettery life could be a bonus).
thanks in advance.
Your install process is way off. There are support threads and q&a's and instructions in the OP of the thread... No such thing as a "coolest rom" try them for your self with proper install procedures before saying they're ugly or don't work.
T-Mobile SGS III
Coolest ROM?
That made me laugh.
You need to go through and pick which ROM or ROMs fit your needs. No one can pick a ROM for you, another members ideal ROM may not be your ideal ROM.
As for the installation process and having certain apps not being there or not working properly, you need to read the first post of the thread, also know as the OP. Reading it will let you know what to download and how to install/flash it through recovery.
Here's some advice that will save you in the future:
-read the first post/op of each thread
-have questions or problems with the ROM? Read the first and last 10 pages of the thread, if the problem isn't addressed or your question isn't answered, then politely ask for help.
-Google is your "friend", usually typing your issue followed by xda in the search bar and you'll find what your looking for

Ok thanks for your help guys. i'm not sure what i did wrong. here are the steps that did and one of you might be able to help me.
Downloaded odin and rooted and installed cwm through GalaxyS3RootUSCanada.zip (http://galaxys3root.com/galaxy-s3-r...gh-t999sgh-i747sph-l710-fail-proofnoob-proof/)
Downloaded the Rom and installed it --> cleared cache etc.
Now is there a problem with installing CWM throuth this file?
Why didn't you just use the toolkit stickied in development? I know nothing about the software you linked to.

Maybe you should read the op before installing something.
Clearly says you have to flash gapps after flashing liquidsmooth. This is why you don't have the playstore.

Agree here. Never understood why folks would go to that site, then come here to find support for it.
Either root66 or cf-autoroot is the best and easiest imo.

Beats me but I won't give support for things sourced outside of XDA. Not just because XDA always has the best but because I know nothing about external offerings.

Khanbaba59, there is no "cool rom" so to speak. You have to read up on which is best for you, then try them. Be sure to READ the OP on installation process to avoid anything going wrong.
As your questions have been answered, I will close this now as it will cause confusion and bickering about roms.

Firstly, stop been lazy use search. This is obvious to anybody with common sense a question that will have already been asked and covered in many topics already so no need to create a new topic just to be spoon fed. Look and read and you may learn something.
Second, There is in absolutely in no way shape or form any such thing as a "best rom" and the question/topic itself is ridiculous and not allowed on XDA for many reasons. Read rules.
Watch this XDA introduction video as it bluntly lines out what you should know as a new user..

^^^ This.
Additionally thread closed as its a Best ROM thread. OP what works best for one user may not work best for you due to differences in how you use the device. My advice would be to try them out and see which one is best for you.
