Everytime I reboot phone it says "Android is upgrading system". I understant that after you flash something it will do that. However this is happening on every re-boot. I am using TWRP2.2.2.0, running XquizitV32, Blue ICS modV3, inverted google now and Xquizit Honey comb battery mod.
If someone would be so kind to give me some info, would much aprreciated.
thanx in advance.
Not sure if it would matter, but do you have triangleaway and set to run after every restart?

It is just rebuilding caches. It's not a problem.

so this is just a message???
Dont know why it happens but it shouldn't. Its rebuilding dalvik every reboot. Maybe a script left behind somewhere?
Try clearing dalvik and cache in recovery and see if that helps.

Change to a different kernel.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
It also happens when you fix permissions using cwm. Same Rom
That's not normal for every boot but it might be for this Rom. Good question.

That actually makes a little sense. It may be that the system didnt odex completely or correctly and is trying to deodex everything to correct what it sees as a problem.
I cant remember which it is right now but there is a setting in your build.prop that can tell the system to check for errors every boot and may trigger the deodexing process. I think its something like dexopt-flag=m=y
Prob not that one but itll be similar and related to dexopt.
Ill try to look it up later when I get home if no one else chimes in.

Yes.. What Rom are you using?. Or if you are on stock Rom? what was you doing before you started having problems.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda premium
change your kernel, or change your voltages and clock speed
Everything stock except for the tweaks on rom toolbox. Its a Samsung issue like the vibrant
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA
It is probably from Rom Toolbox. I have never really trusted this app. Sometimes it would work okay, but I would notice weird stuff going on with my phone. Just my opinion....

I've had it on 2 different phone an Ive had no problems. Like I said it acts like the damn vibrant did

If new ROM and kernel don't work then goto stock and if that doesn't work then get a new piece.

Stop looking at porn on ya phone.
When I had something similar I found one CPU was always offline per System Tuner and I had to run
stop mpdecision
In terminal emulator to get it running. To make it automatic I used system tuner to force all CPUs online found in boot tweaks set to on boot completion. All of a sudden it was a new phone LoL .

Hi... if I may suggest not doing all caps if possible for future posts...
Did you perhaps flash a new kernel? That caused it for me. Changing back the previous kernel restored the apps. Some problem with the secure folders...

Does this happen every time? Or just that one time?
If you could, boot into TWRP, make a nandroid, do a factory reset. If it works, then it was [probably] a little glitch. If it doesn't work, go into the advance menu and copy the recovery log to the sdcard. After that upload it here. That'll help a lot. Also, you know, if it did work and wipes your data then you'll probably want to restore your nandroid.

Wow, um, let's see; you could try to redo the data partition. I don't know that that'll fix anything though. Plus it would wipe everything in /data including your internal sdcard ( /data/media). I've never seen or heard of anything like this. You could also talk to Dees_troy (sorry if I'm spelling that wrong), he did make TWRP.

All I can say is just flash another recovery.. And then if you want try to flash TWRP again. That should solve the problem.

How did you download and flash the recovery? On your phone through goomanager because it could be a bad download.

I'm currently running the note s4 rom. My phone will randomly lock up and get terribly laggy. I was on the newest stock ota and decided to flash the note s4 rom. The phone still acted like this on the stock rom also. I've still got lag and freezing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you read his post he says it happens on stock as well. So before Flaming someone maybe at least know what's going on.
Op, is there something that makes it happen? Specific apps, something like that?

Try to do a clean wipe and clean install again. It might help with it being laggy. I usually do a full wipe and clean install every 2 months, even when using the same rom, That's just me.
POWERED by the MASTER!
Ive tried odining back to complete stock and wiping everything and then flashing the rom. It seems to do it at random. A reboot seems to fix the issue for a few hours. It's only done it once or twice so far today.
