[Q] Specific Games For The GNEX - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hey guys i wanted to know if there are some good/decent/great games that you guys have installed on your g.NEXUS?
the thing is they have to be portrait style games that require no internet connection to play.
i'm not a big fan of playing games on landscape mode, and i hate games that i wish i could play but not have any internet access to at that moment.
free or paid, it doesn't matter-let me know!

Any of the flick games are good. Like flick golf. Most of them are 1$ and are pretty fun. Temple run is another one. To be honest I don't know very many portrait games.

thanks! appreciate the suggestions.
let me know guys!! , in need of some good time killing games :good:

Do you really need portrait only? Because dead trigger or shadowgun are some great time killers. And amazing quality.

Gyro is portrait and a great time killer. Although I don't understand the portrait only requirements.

I too prefer portrait games I thought I was the only one. It's just nice bc you can use on hand

My first app in Market, a campfire client!

Hey guys, I put out my first app into the android market independently and just thought I'd pimp it here. It's a 37 signals campfire client that's made specifically for the galaxy nexus. It's super ice cream sandwichy and is buttery smooth to use. I couldn't find a campfire client on android that was really good looking so I made my own. Check it out.

No idea what campfire is....but the app looks great. Very ICS like

This isn't a campfire. I, for one, love campfires.
Seems good but I just stopped using campfire lol. Maybe make a basecamp app?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk
Looks like a chat room, $5 though.... I think I'll pass if it's just a chat room.
And you should add a black version, consumes less power on AMOLED displays.

I think $5 is fair. For a really good quality app, it'll cost some money. I put a ton of time into making this thing both look good and function super well.
Aesthetically you did a nice job, and as a graphic artist I think 4.99 for hardwork and a nice app is more than reasonable.
The Ui is perfect great Work!!
I love the ics style

Buy the A100, yes or no?

1saleaday is selling it on today's flash sale for $170. I'm fine with the price, but I'm wondering if it's a good tablet? I'll probably be using it more for reading, internet browsing, watching movies while traveling, maybe very very light gaming. I'm comfortable flashing recoveries/rom's, using ADB, etc. But is it a decent daily tablet?
I love it go for it cost is very nice ...

Depends on you, really. For me its great, but less then great battery life and 1 bad viewing angle may make it unbearable for you. Me, I just learned my way around it. Only real flaws I'd give it in general, not counting defects. Wifi is a little on the weak side as well.

Great tab for a 7"

For the price it's worth it imho. Enjoying mine and loving ICS.

$170 is a steal for a GREAT ice cre sandwich tablet with minimal flaws. Much better than the kindle Fire, has FULL android (play store, google apps)...has hdmi (great for tv hookup and a good tegra 2 processor for gaming I would say go for it, it's one of the best tablets for the price

Very nice - so it has a case modified to fit the diameter hole on the mount?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
What about rain and mud and falls?????? You should try it with a otterbox defender or similar and possibly mount it at or below handle bar level. Just my 2¢… looks great though

If it rains it will go back in my pocket , mud I will turn around lol definitely not an extreme rider and if I crash, I have insurance on me and the phone...

Yep, I feel your pain. How do you carry it then with you on a bike?
I really like to use myTracks app again to capture trail elevation and my speed, which I used since I had G1, but worried about new GN ability to survive my crashes. Really wish next Nexus be Motorola with kevlar/waterproof qualities like in Razr Maxx (and good battery as icing on the cake).

i leave it in the pit area when i am on the track. i really have no need to have a phone on me on my bicycle since the only riding i really do is on the track.
for mtb however, i can see a use a device could have. if only there was a case for it like the gopro cameras...

Nexus 7 + PS3 controller + Shadowgun.... Android Jelly Bean FTW!!

Do you know for sure that that's the right stand? The Arkon stand looks like the middle part would stick out at the back in landscape orientation, but I can't be sure.

Yes, good eyes. Set up like it is in the linked photo it would be too tall but it's quite flexible.
I bought it for my Xoom but it works great in portrait and landscape.

Awesome. What's the farthest you can angle it back without the back part jutting out?
I'm gonna buy one now. Definitely worth 8 bucks.
Its all the way back in the pic and video above. Nice angle for viewing.

For the stand , try a pad pivot. Love mine
I started with the Arkon and then upgraded to the Belkin FlipBlade Adjust which is much more to my liking.

Good games to show off my S4?

Someone mentioned Dead Trigger which looks good. Could I get some more suggestions on games that look great on my new phone?
Its nearly impossible finding good games on Play.. thanks in advance.

You can try Real Racing 3, NFS Most Wanted, Battle Blitz Brigade, or most gameloft games for that matter. World War Z seems to be a new one.

Shine Runner is fun & looks good. It has a pretty neat water effect when it splashes on your screen.
Iron Man 3 is pretty epic...and Free!
