What are the differences in these models?

R800a, R800at, R800i, R800x, Z1i ???
PLUS, are there any others I'm missing here??
thanks
r800a is the version sold by most countries in America.
r800at is the version sold by AT&T (carrier in USA).
r800x is the version sold by Verizon (carrier in USA).
r800i is the international version and is sold in the rest of the world.
I don't know about Z1i, never heard of it.
ok, thanks
Z1i sounds like an xperia arc model not a play.

[Q] Xperia PLAY 4G AT&T - Will it work on T-Mobiles 4G HSPA+?

I am considering getting a Xperia PLAY 4 AT&T for when my contract ends with Verizon. I aw the new T-Mobile plans that were announced on July 1st and am considering going with them, as they have a new plan where if you bring in your own phone their services are really cheap. Anyway, my question is if anyone here is using the AT&T PLAY on T-Mobile in the US if they can tell me how good is the HSPA+ with T-Mobile? I thought I have seen somewhere that TMo and AT&T share the same frequency for HSPA+. Can anyone give me there feedback on this? Thank you in advance.

Edit : I read your post wrong at first. I know my r800a is carrier unlocked and will work for both att and tmobile. But I havent used it yet, If I do though, I will be sure and let you know!
Hate to revive an old thread but wanted to let everyone know I switched from VZ to Tmobile last night, and I am getting 7mbps down 2mbps up on my unlocked AT&T xperia play.
All in all I am very happy.
Kinda off topic but whats the model for the play 4g as I looked it up and could not find it...wouldn't be different then the r800a/i/x/at or is the at the 4g version?

Its AT&T's xperia play (R800at) they call it the xperia play 4G because it has the HSPA+ frequency. So not really 4G, more like 3.5G.

The "r800A" and "AT" are pretty much identical. I think the "A" was just sold outside the US. You could get an R800A and flash the right TA file to it and use it on AT&T.

I have an R800a on t-mobile but the hspa is super slow for me, has the big H symbol but its exactly what I expect running edge, something must be wrong, is 120-150 kbps on hspa normal?

Lte

Quick question. If are phones say 4g its running at lte speeds? I know the answer was in this forum some where but i cant remember where.

I think people can google this !!!
ATT (US) vs. International (HK or Chinese)
LTE = 4G
4G = H
3G = 3G
So to answer your question if you are using the .111 (HK) or .233 (Chinese) then it would show 4G for LTE. That's very normal.

Is this a SIM only unlock from att or bootloader unlock from...... ?
Possible incorrect radios, depending on which your carrier uses.
Have you tried using settings/Xperia/internet settings? My att ion always gets download failed but connects to Semc gprs apn. Not sure if it will help but you can try, won't change any settings.

As long as the bands are supported in your area it should work fine.
Sent from my HTC Desire using xda app-developers app
Yup, check what band your carrier uses and see if the ion supports it. Here in honduras my carrier uses 850 band for 3g and gprs, my ion gets signal and 3g just fine.
