anyone already pre-ordered this?
Only comes in white. To bad I guess if you want to keep your blue phone blue.

guess we'll let the white phone users be guinea pigs.
Damn Spigen, they keep coming with products.
Now I have Ultra Nano, Curved on the way, and now this comes out.
Maybe I wait applying the curved one when there arrive reviews of thia one.
Looks very nice and better than that other one wich is already for sale now.

i wonder if it has the pixlated effect like what others have mentioned in the other thread about glass screen protectors. I can't stand it because it really bugs me when i went back and look at my old captivate screen. Even though s3 is a pentile display but you can barely notice it from the high res. But what other ppl say about it having that effect is a turn down for me. I hope SGP overcomes that with this one.
Spigen won't release a third-rate product like that Spectre one in the other thread. I have had the glass screen protector from Spigen on both my iPhone 4 and SGS II, both worked perfectly and neither had those dots that are visible on white backgrounds.
Are the glass protectors incompatible with some cases?

Yes, it adds thickness so when you have a tight fit now, it might not fit.

Got this ordered. Will test it with different cases I've got. Hopefully it won't make much of a difference. Some cases didn't quite work with my 4S when I had one on it

Is it clear or does it have an anti glare/fingerprint grainy look?
just ordered, will update once recieved
I'm really excited about them releasing one, but I'm also kinda nervous that it looks so much like the "Specter". I wonder why they have to have colors, and can't stay with their normal "clear all over" routine?

well if they do come out like that, im sure a much more reputable company like sgp will be able to replace it or is willing to fix the problem.
I just pre ordered one too, I waited so long for SGP to release this! I'm sure the reason for making this with color layout is to cover up the edges bubbling which I don't mind really. I been a long time SGP customer so I know if anything is wrong with this they will back it up with their awesome customer service. I just can't wait to try!

I am just wondering how they tackled the curved glass on the s3? is the bottom curved to fit the shape? and also is the top of the glas t curved along with the screen or flat?
In other words is the glas t curved to fit the s3's shape (thus making it more vulnerable) or is it curved on the bottom and then flat at top (which may cause issues with cases)?

i think it is flat just like iphone's glas.t series, but on S3 glas series edges are beveled for smoother finish.
They will give you horrid Customer Service. They screwed me royally with the poorly made Glas.t for the iPhone 4. I'll show you some pix in a bit

Same position, pre-ordered it back then, had the neo hybrid line of cases. First one, after a day or so, the edges were pulling up, due to the case. Emailed up customer service, they said it was my fault since I didn't line it up correctly. They sent me another one either way, and I was extra careful installing it, making sure all the edges were perfectly aligned. Everything was ok, until a few days later, it did it again. Now I am left with a screen protector that is lifting on both sides minus $30. It does say in their FAQ that all their cases are compatible so I assume I have to position the Glas.t within nanometer precision to get it to not bubble? I'm chalking it up to first production issues with weak adhesive. Hopefully with the S3, I won't have this issue.
AVOID the Spigen GLAS.t (Awful Experience)
Here is what I posted on the MacRumors forum about my experience.
I purchased the GLAS.t for my father about 3 weeks ago and the edges are chipping off already. Keep in mind, he keeps this on his desk all day - it is hardly used (work phone). I emailed Customer Service about this and they denied my warranty claim as it is RECOMMENDED that you use a case with this as it is prone to chipping.
Two days passed and a hairline crack formed from the chipped edge. I submitted a request again and received the same response. This is unbelievable! I have purchased upwards of $100 in screen protectors from these guys. No more.
Have any of you had similar experiences? I have attached some photos of the phone with the GLAS.t on it.
I can't imagine the anger you'd have if this happened to your $70 GLAS.t for your iPad..
Eventually, I told them AMEX should be revoking the funds shortly due to their defective product. Immediately, they offered to replace it. Instead, I just asked them to send me some Ultra Crystal's. Hopefully they have improved things a bit though. I noticed that the SIII Glas.T is 0.5MM's thick whereas the iPhone version I had originally was only 0.4mm
I don't know why everyone is bashing on the Xgear protector. It's cheaper, the dots are only annoying in bright lights and it feels great. Don't be so hard on a small company bringing out something that no one else is willing to do.

from my experience, 1 iphone 4s of my using this is still fine and plenty of galaxy note i have installed have no issue like yours,
from what i see, your chips off part is not a manufacturing defects but looks more like mishandling/accidental damage by user itself.....this is only my assumption.

I bought 5pcs for about $3 off of ebay which is a great deal but it looks like they were cut wrong because it doesnt line up great.

I really dont want to pay $18 for a single one, like Steinheil.
My question is, have any of you bought cheap ones that lines up perfect with the phone and corners?
As with many things you get what you pay for.
I have the Skinomi which one of the early ones available and its been ok:
http://www.skinomi.com/
The more I use them the more I recommend the wet apply one as they seem to have less bubble and last longer. For people who are worried just go to best buy or a mall stand and have someone who installs them all day install it.
Most of the newer screen protectors don't line up directly to the edge if thats what your referring to. They save space on the edges so that it doesn't peel off as easy and a lot of new cases cover the edges to. Plus they save money by using less material. I have the ones from verizon and they dont go edge to edge. I even believe that the new Zagg's are being cut the same way.

I actually hate the ones that uses water to install, such as invisiShield. They are not as slippery as the ones that stick on there.
Is skinomi requires water to install?

No I am definitely not looking for a perfect fit but the ones I bought does not line up straight, from top corner to bottom corner. I can buy verizon protectors $9 for 3pcs. So, if they dont line up crooked I am fine.
i bought this http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...BX5A/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1324879125&sr=8-6
i think it's worth it since i started using that brand since my first android, 2 yrs ago. it's really tough and durability is super good.
The reason why the nexus doesn't have a dry install that doesn't extend to the edge because our screens are slightly curved so they will create bubbles at the top and bottom of the screen. The wet screens protector will fit better because they are more bendable
I use a brand called terrapin on my GN. They're cheap on eBay but they're made from very hard plastic. They go right to the edges of the screen and fit really well with cut outs in the right place for the speaker, camera and various sensors.
The quality of these protectors is brilliant, no affect on screen quality at all and there's no rainbow effect or orange peel. There's a few light scratches I can see on the screen protector when bright lights are shone on the unlit screen but as soon as you wake the screen up you can't see them at all.

I would still use a screen protector dust/sand/dirt can get on your fingers and still scratch it plus anything gets in the case and the cover may scratch it. I am super paranoid about scratches though so it may be just me.
There's a bunch of discussion in the Accessories forum on which screen protector is the best. I vote for Verizon "clear" one.

In their videos the take a dremel to one and it stops the bit. No way the cheap plastic ones would.
Orange peel is my biggest problem with expensive ones such as invisible shield.
XO skins looks pretty legit. I wish I had seen it before I purchased the one I posted earlier
If they are not too too expensive I might pick that up too, as a back up.

Why bash this company and say SGP was first? This company could have been first they are actually shipping now not just taking pre-orders. I first saw this protector on ebay around the same time the SGP was posted on here so who knows who was first?
I have no affiliation with them I'm just saying there is no point in saying it's not unique when they are the first company SHIPPING one so it actually is unique

I got mine today and they were a little difficult to align properly but not bad. You have to press on the edges several times to get them to stick but if your persistent they will stay down. The clarity is pretty good. When the screen is off there are some weird looking sport that almost look like orange peel but they are smooth and you cannot feel them. When the screen is on you cannot see these spots at all. These are just my first thoughts. I will report back in a few days to see if the edges stay down.
Overall I am pretty happy with the protector. They are much better than the straight ones that don't stick to the edges.
Amazon no longer has this screen protector. I was just about to order it too.

SGP failed with first batch of "Curved Crystal"
Then SGP failed with first batch of Neo Hybrid.
Goodness, are they testing it out on a customers?
p.s. Tridea owners, any comments on a subject?
Are these worth it? Seem to be the cheapest screen protectors for the quality?
FYI - Spigen's long-awaited Curved Crystal screen protector is now available at Amazon for $16 with free shipping, but won't actually be in stock until August 9th, so with 2-day shipping (Prime) it'll be in my hands by next Monday.
EDIT: Back In Stock again (Aug 9)
I've gone through three crappy screen protectors already:
1) SGP Ultra Crystal (dry; discontinued due to edges peeling up; returned it; curved crystal fixes it)
2) Skinomi (wet; TPU case peeled the edges up; feels funny)
3) Incipio's free protector that comes with their Silicrylic DualPro case (dry; oily-looking; peeling up at the edges and there's gunk under it already)
Comes with 2 in the pack. Can't wait to finally replace my cheapo protector with this full-coverage glassy-feeling version.

If you use the hinge method (two pieces of tape) to apply it, then it should only take one attempt to put on perfectly, limiting the amount of time for dust to drift under it to a minimum.

I love my Ultra Nano Clear and can barely see its even on there. Only reason its noticeable is because its cut short so at angles u can see the edges. Just wish the it covered the whole screen like this one does.
I've never had issues with Spigen screen protectors in the past, but I can't speak for the quality of their cases. I'm not a fan of cases in general. Only reason I've got one on my SIII is to hide the purple..... XD

If its anything like their Ultra Nano Clear which I'm hoping it is, its crystal clear and you'll only notice its there because of the slight visible edge from the cutouts around the speaker, camera and home button.
I kind of wish they covered the camera and only cut out the speaker n home button tho.

Are you referring to this new curved crystal from spigen? If so that's slightly disappointing. Makes some sense tho since the U.N.C. is thinner while this one is supposed to be slightly thicker which would make the edges around the cam, speaker n home stand out more.
I do have the Pebble "Purple" GS3 btw. lol
My current screen protector (U.N.C. not this new one yet) is only noticeable around the edges. I can see the edge line. Aside from that line, the covered area looks identical to the non covered areas. Sometimes I can't even tell its there at all.

I have a Nillkin case and do not have this problem. There is some clearance between the edge of the protector and the edge of the screen but I think it'll depend on what case you have.
NOTICE: THE GLAS IS NOW DISCONTINUED!
Hey everyone, welcome to my very thorough and in-depth review on Spigen SGP's GLAS, tempered glass screen protector, for the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Purchase at: Cretouch.com
Installation
- Easy as hell. No air bubbles and fuss. *Just make sure to thoroughly clean the screen and read the instructions.* Tape works well for getting rid of dust.
Also go from edge towards the center not vice versa. The edges of the protector(colored bezel/frame) is thicker than the clear glass area, so going from center out can cause sensitivity issues.
Clarity
- No clarity loss at all whatsoever. Looks like the stock screen.
Fingerprints
- The oleophobic coating really does work. I have noticed less fingerprints with the GLAS.
Feel/Texture
- Honestly feels just like the original glass screen. Very smooth and glass like.
Cutouts
- Cutouts are done well. There are physical cutouts for the sensors, speakers, and home button. Sensors work just fine and the cutout for the home button is a bit recessed. Spigen includes epoxy buttons that add a slight raise for the home button. They're also great for some more personalization.
- Internal, clear cutouts for the LED light, front facing camera, and capacitive menu buttons.
Coverage
- Does not go edge to edge. Leaves a few mm of space between the GLAS and the bezel.
Sensitivity:
- So after having installed the protector and using it, I have negative things to say about the GLAS. The responsiveness of the screen is lost by quite a bit. Swipes often make accidental clicks and touch often does not register. According to Spigen, installing from edge to center should fix the problem many were having, but this was not the case.
Here's a pic with the Neo Hybrid:

Case comptability(from the cases I have):
Spigen Neo Hybrid - works, still some gap left between case and screen protector
Spigen Lumi/Color Series bumpers - same as neo hybrid
Draco S3 Bumper - works
Cruzerlite Clone Army - works
Spigen Modello - works
Acase Super Leggera Pro - works
Overall works with every case from what I can see that doesn't obtrude or come around the edge of the phone too much.
Comment if you have a case that is compatible with the GLAS.

I believe Spigen is still selling the GLAS. CreTouch is an authorized reseller. If you want to purchase it you can go to spigen.com
Works with Otterbox Defender if you knock the Defender's stock (crappy) screen protector out
Product has been discontinued. Hope they are making a replacement.
Damn.. Why exactly was it discontinued.. What were the complaints about?

Been reviewed a few times. Anyways, since the protector doesnt go edge to edge, dust/particles/hair get stuck on the side of the protector. I plan on removing mine tonight, way to much crap stuck to the sides.

Also a lot of people seemed to have experienced sensitivity issues. missed keystrokes when typing, missed inputs when playing games etc.
Mine only arrived after this issue was reported, and I applied it by the same way the OP did, pressure from outside towards centre, (as per statement from sgp) but I still had the issues, it was really annoying, I had to purposely slow down my typing in order to prevent having so many errors.
Does anyone know if they're going to be releasing a new version of the GLAS screen protector?
To the op, thanks for the review and very detailed.
I have a alternative to the spg, looks identical, I have no issue with it and the quality is very good, mine is using japanese material, item made in korea and package in china.
the way i install it is just put pressure along the sides a few times, not even touching the center.
I'm wait for the release of the blue version.
You shouldnt buy ANY product from Spigen. Ive bought 3 products from them and got burned all 3 times. I did get a replacement for one of them though. First was the neo hybrid. The volume rocker didn't work. After numourous emails (in which they already knew this product had this problem) I got a replacement. I was happy. Next was this glass screen protector, the sensitivity was awful and the thing collected so much dust on the sides of the screen protector it was a joke. The sides of the protector were covered in lint and were black lol. Now I order their ultra thin air case and the stupid thing doesn't even stay on the case. Even their website reviews say the same thing. So all 3 accessories I've bought from SPIGEN were terrible. Good luck if you take the chance. I'm currently using my old otter box defender, looking for a new case though.

this looks amazing! how does it go after a couple weeks use? It is possible to have a drop test on the glass?

why don't you buy one and test it out, no one is going to do that on purpose.
Anywhere to get these still?

Where did you find that? Link?
here ya go! http://www.amazon.com/Protector-Spi...d=1411173934&sr=8-1&keywords=spigen+glas+moto
But how does it fit? There seems to be a problem with some of protectors out there that they are not fitting 100%.

Is Spigen the only company so far making glass screen protectors right now?

As far as I know. But, I'm sure once Spigen releases theirs, all the copy cats will be releasing their versions short after. But if you want to wait for at least another month, then go for it lol. I'm happy with my official ones that resist fingerprints.
it says on the box 28% thinner.. Thinner than what exactly? Its their first release!
Just got an email from Spigen today. They Amazon page said shipping on 30 September, and I ordered it. But Spigen says they won't be shipping until mid-October. They gave me a code for 30% of anything from their store for my being inconvenienced.
Spigen is a trustworthy brand, you can count on them to get it right. I've purchased tempered glass protectors as well as their cases for the past couple years, and many others will vouch for them. As for the whole 28% thinner thing its them marketing themselves as the thinnest glass protection available.
zagg has a screen protector for 14.99 just in case anybody wanted something less expensive...i found one for 75 cents! ehe
Just ordered one (the Spigen, not the Zagg). Supposedly ships 10/15.
I currently have the official Moto one, so I'll be sure to let everyone know how it compares.

Woot! Just got an email from Amazon, saying that my Spigen GLAS.tR SLIM has shipped! (Still shows in-stock date of 10/15 on Amazon, though.)

Is it possible to review the protector when you get it? I still can't decide which one to get.
Yes, I'll be reviewing it, and comparing it to the official Moto protector, which is what I have now.
I'm patiently waiting for reviews. I've got tempered glass on all my devices. I've got the Spigen in my Amazon cart. Just waiting to pull the trigger.

same here! waiting for a real life review
Okay, here's my short (yeah, right) and sweet review:
I ordered the Spigen GLAS.tR SLIM product from Amazon. I got the email that it shipped on 10/9, and I got the product via USPS mail on 10/16, so it definitely ships via budget (i..e. slow) shipping. However, since it wasn't even supposed to ship until 10/15, I was pretty happy.

The packaging is pretty nice, and contains everything needed to protect the product, and the tools needed to install it.
From the picture, you can see it comes with cleaning wipes, squeegee, a card containing a serial number, little dust-removal stickers, instructions, and the protector itself. The first step of the instructions say to wipe the screen with "the micro-fiber cloth," but one wasn't included. I'm not sure if one was supposed to be there or not, but luckily, I have my own.
The protector went on super easy, although I have to say, it's not as easy as you'd think getting one small circle completely centered on another. I'm not ashamed to admit that it took a couple tries. Fortunately, the protector has two protective films, one for the front and one for the back, and the front one has a couple tabs you can kind of use to hold it, so that you can see the entire circle. That front one also allows you to squeegee the bubbles out (although I didn't really have any), and press down on the protector without fear of scratching anything.
But I'm sure all that you really want to know is, "How does it feel?" Well... it's thick. Noticeably thick. It supposedly has a curved upper ridge so that your fingers will just slide right over the edge, but if it does, it either doesn't work, or I'd hate to see how it'd feel without it. My fingers definitely feel that ridge every time I'm swiping from the extreme edge.
That's not to say that it's annoying, but it does take some getting used to. My official Moto protector didn't seem to get cut quite right, and it had a spot about 45 degrees long (in a 360 degree circle) where the edge could literally be seen when looking straight down. Even at that spot, which is the only place I could really feel it, it still wasn't nearly as noticeable as this Spigen protector.
On the flip side, I had my Moto protector for about 3 weeks, and already ended up with a couple scratches on it. I have a feeling that this Spigen protector will be a bit harder to scratch (although I haven't had it long enough to really say), so there's your trade-off.
Get past the edge though, and this protector definitely feels like the original glass. I thought my Moto protector was smooth, and it may certainly be in my head, but this one does feel a bit smoother. However, it also seems to be a bit stickier in certain situations, such as when your finger is slightly wet... as it would with the original glass.
Fingerprints don't seem to be an issue, and just wipe away with my shirt, but I can definitely say that they wiped away a bit easier on the Moto protector. I think that's because the Moto protector wasn't quite as clear, and hid the post-wipe smudges a bit better. Speaking of clarity... wow, this Spigen is clear. When I turn my 360 to a relatively sharp angle to my eyes, the Moto protector would seem to "fog" just a bit, making it really stand out. Not so with the Spigen. No matter the angle, you can see the edge, but otherwise, it's completely invisible. The clarity really just doesn't compare.
Here are a couple pictures that show the thickness of the two protectors. Sorry, I didn't have my SLR with its macro lens available, so I took these with my phone, but I think you can still tell the difference. See if you can tell which one is which.
Spoiler:
The bottom one is the Spigen.
To summarize, I'd say that the Spigen is definitely the better protector, compared to the Official Moto protector. Its only strike is that it is noticeably thick, and you will definitely catch that edge from time to time when swiping. However, it's certainly clearer, and since the Moto protector is relatively soft plastic, I'm sure the Spigen is more durable and scratch resistant (although, I can't say for certain on that last item).
I think you'd be happy with either protector, and the cost difference is very small between the two kits, making them very comparable. However, you do get two Moto protectors for the $15 list price, vs one Spigen protector for the $20-ish Amazon price, making the Moto the better deal on paper. Factor in clarity and durability though, and the Spigen is definitely a contender.
Thanks for the review! When I applied the $15 one I didn't notice much difference in clarity, but maybe I didn't have my glasses on. The thing is, we generally don't apply screen protectors to watches. The two reasons why I applied one are 1) Protecting the resale value. And 2) the finger print is definitely way less noticeable on the protector than the original glass.
Did you notice a difference in the oleophobic coating department?

Thanks for the review. I have been using the Spigen Glas.Tr for my Galaxy S4 and Note 3, never look back at plastic screen protectors ever since! I have gotten the Moto Care Kit, but the Spigen will definitely be in the next Moto 360 accessories list for me.
Oh a quick one, what about screen sensitivity, especially at the edge when you swipe, say Wear Mini Launcher? Was it sensitive enough when you pull the drawer from the edge?
