Hi everyone,
Quick question,
I've run both the recent roms for AOKP and CM10, and I'm unable to configure my device to run LTE.
Using the *#*#4636*#*# -> Phone Information -> LTE/GSM doesn't stick after a reboot of the device, and it's fairly headache-ish to have to re-enable it every time after a reboot.
Is there something I'm missing here in order to have this resolved?
Also am I losing out on much by not having LTE enabled and just running on the WCDMA settings?
..Forgot to add, is there a way to turn on MMS vs SMS? so my texts are not split into multiples when writing out larger messages?
I apologize, after doing some more reading I found little fixes for both issues in the AOKP Thread.
This can be closed/deleted.

My phone network is WCDMA only. My phone keeps on changing it to GSM only by itself. It's soooooo annoying!
My phone would be in "no service" mode for the longest time without my knowledge, and all my friends who text or phone me can't get through for hours!
Please help!
My rom is the latest ILWT one.
not too sure here but if there is a huge list of apns in there just remove all but yours. well the more that i think about it skip that. cant remember but go into your dialer and type *#*#4636#*#* or something like this (ill get back in a minuet if thats wrong)
under phone info force what you need here, its been a long time since ive had to do any of this (had to with a lot of my old g1 roms to gain battery life) but everything you need should be here
So I'm on a CyanogenMod 10 nightly, and I am having the problem of the Preferred Network Mode setting not sticking, like several other users apparently, and after searching the forum I have concluded that there is no actual solution yet. Right now I can get to 4G LTE by manually setting to LTE/GSM/WCDMA in the Preferred settings, but it always reverts back after reboot. Apparently this does not happen to everybody; how should I fix this?
I posted in the CM Nightlies thread but no one seemed to notice. I hope this can get to the devs so they can fix this eventually I guess.
The following may be of use
http://code.google.com/p/cm9-msm8960/issues/detail?id=39
According to that, this is a hard-coded problem caused by the settings in the two places not matching?
Try going to your dialer and typing *#*#4636#*#*
Use that dialog to set it to what you want and hopefully it will stick then?
I never encountered this problem myself because I never want my phone on LTE as the battery life is pitiful as is and LTE only makes it worse.
Mine is set to WCDMA only on quattrimus cm10 and it sticks no problem.

Had the same problem, except that it dropped data service every 10 mins or so. Didn't even had to reboot. I could fix that by changing the network settings from lte/wcdma to gsm/wcdma. Another thing I witnessed when on lte that it would recover data connection when the process was restarted e.g. when activating and deactivating airplane mode.
Unlike most people, I'm actually wanting to keep it on LTE only, since I just keep data off until I need it, and when I need it I want full speed.
The phone always reverts back to GSM/WCDMA, turning off LTE.
I messed around in *#*#4636#*#* but it didn't really do anything.
I've been having the same problem on my Razer Phone 2. I don't think this is specific to the phone itself, but. I'm getting desperate for a solution. I change the preferred network type in the *#*#4636#*#* menu, I get LTE fine..... As long as I don't restart the phone or go on/off with airplane mode. Then I have to do it all over again. Does anyone know how to make this stick?
Hello XDA!
Hopefully im posting in the correct area of help;
Using a i747m factory unlocked - Im having a problem with my radio or carrier with the current ROM (AOKP(Jellybean 4.2.2 )Task650 (2.22.2013).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766684&page=1
When it was first installed fresh the signal would be full bar on the LTE network but still had to assign the LTE APN settings for Telus. now - it seems that the signal or similar is glitched? possibly? If i switch to 3G mode my signal is full (-70 or lower) where as when it get too LTE mode, living beside a hotspot i get between -99 and -120 before like i said was all working except data. (LTE was enabled working)
Ive gone through with my providers APN settings and all is correctly setup - Now with this - to connection with applictions are having a problem noticing that data is on the phone - even with Wi-Fi does the applications get numerous errors trying to receive data. It seems too now that seraching for networks will just also close out the options to do so and manually does it connect with a reboot as long as the APN is set.
anyone with ideas?
Edit: time stamps are also inconsistent ; i believe is why the applications are having issues too connect - unable to verify security certificates

THANK YOU! Re-flashed modem - All is smooth - +1 thanked.
now too fully enjoy this ROM goodness ^^
Ever since i have updated to the UVMC6 based ROM, my mobile internet is not working. I tried different ROMS based on Samsung base/CM10.1, but same result.
Anyone know how i can fix this? I tried looking at logcat, but found nothing obvious. Is there a log or something that i look at for more info? Any pointers would be helpful.
Thanks
can you recieve and send text/mms and when you goto settings> about> status whats you're signal giving you and what ROM kernel are you on more details please
Do you have the new radio listed in settings, about. If so, are you apn settings correct?? If you can text and make phone calls, but have no data I'd double check apn and radio, as well as make sure data is enabled.

Periodically I would not receive texts or calls if I leave my settings on GSM/WCDMA/LTE, enabling Data would restore functionality but it shouldn't be necessary for those lower level services.
I had this issue on the last few builds of official CM10.2 and continues on the CM11 nightlies.
Manually switching to WCDMA preferred fixes issues but only H+ service and it's a nuisance to switch each time. LTE quick settings button has been broken in CM11 since it started. Thought I'll ask if anyone's experiences a similar problem and has a fix.
Currently on the MK2 modem, switched last week to try and see if that was the issue from previous one. I've checked the APN and it looks fine to me, I know I've seen a few variations for T-Mobile, maybe there's a better one.

I've recently seen this happen in cm11 when I'm in certain areas, where before updating to the newest nightly, I would get great signal and still send/receive calls/text. Now for it to work properly I would need to switch from 'lte/gsm/wcdma' to 'gsm /wcdma auto' mobile network.
