Never seen such kind of artifacts. Seems to be a deffective unit, I wouldn't expect the new one to suffer from this issue.

Need advice on replacing?

I am experiencing that crappy screen flickering issue, its just annoying. Updated to 1.29,no luck.
I ordered the International version and got it from France. I am in the US.
Can someone tell me what do I have to do to get it replaced? I am still under 20 days since I got it.
Thanks

Contact your retailer and ask for a return, they should class it as DOA. Just explain the issue to them.

According to a thread HTC says flickering is a software issue and will be fixed with next OTA

They say that but I didn't even have it on .126 UK on o2, so it can't always be software.

I notice flickering only on lowest brightness whilst taping on the screen... Do I finding annoying? Not really... But cannot return my phone coz i have rooted it through htcdev. If there will be an official announcement that it's hardware then I'll smash my phone over the wall and claim replacement through my insurance

wait a minute, so what does replacement cover? I mean, under what circumstances can I actually get a replacement?
And I am pretty sure its not software related. I started of with 1.26 or 27 can't remember.. then updated to 1.28, and now on 1.29.. it is still doing the same ol crappy flickering

If you unlocked your bootloader you warranty is gone, although it says "may" on the website will leave HTC open to law suites.
I would do as above "drop" my phone claim off insurance.

HTC is saying flickering will be fixed with next OTA (next after 1.29).
HTC already warned that their "may" means "will"

Had same issue with first hox replaced, second still present but not so strong, that one had GPS issues replaced third one had yellow again but decided to live with it but over time went away so would suggest replace or atleast try another one in store to see if does as well. Also with first one was in contact with HTC support and they told me to exchange it.

Yeah, they fixed mine free of charge. Some people say leaving the screen on full brightness overnight fixes the issue, doing this made mine less visible.
I also got mine on release day and it too developed the yellow spots, two of them I noticed. But they seemed to disappear on their own. I not sure if it was rom or kernel related. Just give it some more time it has been a known issue and there are some tricks to speed up the process.

Mine did this, then it came back with a vengeance. Nothing I did got rid of it except applying pressure which only worked for a second or two.
I had exactly the same issue. Bought a Hox on release day. After a few months the yellow spots appeared.
I sent it for warranty repair and they replaced the display (free of charge). Problem gone.

Did you know HTC have a website with a 'Support' section, and a telephone number?
And there's this awesome website www.google.com where you can search for stuff on the internet. Pretty cool.

Its all about your model mate its not on every device. Just see how old it is..
There's a guide about somewhere.if its a grey one its less likely most issues were on the batches of white ones released

Have someone sent his HOX to assistance for the "screen flex" issue?

If yes, what has HTC done??
Has it replaced, repaired, or it said that it's not reparable ??
No one?

just normal tapping...nothing special
It's a very common problem of the first series of this phone (also if HTC says that it's a "feature" of this type of screen, not a problem. -.-')

Yes...it's what HTC says...
But for me is inconceivable that a phone like this has this PROBLEM! (because it's a problem)
Anyway...now HTC has my phone and I should waiting for 10 working days to have it back (after New Year Eve I think)
Hoping for the best......
really...incredible
just call HTC and report them from the hardwaredefect
