samsung galaxy Gio rom install attempt gone bad - Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660

I wanted t o instal cyanogenmod rom 9 (the RC1 version) on my rooted galaxy gio
So i followed the instructions on a youtube video.
I downloaded the rom file, started up in recovery mode and did a factory reset and cleared the cache as mentioned in the video.
After i installed the rom on my phone it restarted but it freezes. The word "android" stands in the middle of the freezed screen.
I then tried to install a new bootloader : signed_cwm-5.0.2.7-flashablezip-ext4only
Now the system can't go into recoverymode or freezes after normal startup.
Then i panicked and wanted to undo this all ! So i installed odin to flash my rom to it's original state.
Odin recognizes my phone, i got the GIO_v1.0.ops file and a one package file of the original rom i found on the internet
but odin freezes at setup connection.

Step 1 – Prepare odin with the firmware u want to flash and get it ready to go;
Step 2 – Remove battery, SIM and SD card, next connect your galaxy to the computer;
Step 3 – Hold Volume down + Power + Home button at the same time;
Step 4 – Insert the battery and wait a bit;
Step 5 – At this point Odin should have detected your galaxy ( Yellow rectangle should appear in your odin );
Step 6 – Click Start button in Odin and wait about 5 min.
If all goes well it should come back to life.
If You Find My Post useful click thanks.
This worked !!!
You saved me a lot of money !
Thanks a lot!
What went wrong is that I pushed the whole volume buttom down, but i only had to push the "volume down"
I do wanna mention that after step 6 i had to do a factory reset and clear cache in recovery mode (hold menu button and power button)
because my system went into a rebootloop.

[HELP]

Hello guys, i tryed to flash JM9 om my SGS, i follow this:
Put your phone to download mode (hold down: volume down, home key, power)
DO NOT plug in your phone yet, Odin / driver does not like it at this stage.
Start Odin3
Tick "Re-Partition", check that "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" have been ticked.
Click "PIT" button and select s1_odin_20100512.pit file.
Plug in the phone and wait until Odin finds it.
Click "Start" button... <Firmware update start...> <Get PIT for mapping...> appear. The phone will turn off and the screen indicates "Reset". Wait until Odin indicates "Pass".
Plug out your phone, remove the battery, put it back in and put phone to download mode again.
Click "Reset" button in Odin and untick "Re-Partition" box.
DO NOT select PIT file again.
Click "PDA" button and select "CODE_I9000XWJM9.tar.md5" file.
Click "MODEM" button and select "MODEM_I9000XXJM4.tar.md5" file.
Click "CSC" button and select the desired version "CSC_I9000???JM?.tar.md5".
After i took out the battery, i can't get to download mode, now it show me a Mobile, then a icon (like a warning) then a PC.
What do i do?

chick this out
http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=Samsung_Galaxy_S_Series
thanks
gonna try this now:
This screen does not always mean your phone is bricked. If you have a hardware locked vibrant, maybe, however, if your phone is not hardware locked, unplug the USB cable from the phone, Hold down Vol UP+Vol Down+Power, the screen will flash black, continue holding down all 3 buttons, you will see the "phone--!--PC" screen again, continue holding all 3 buttons, the screen will flash black again, release the power button only. This will put you into Download Mode.
No :/ Not working
If you can`t get in download mode ( 3 button combo ), you`re out of luck.
Okay :/ well i contacted my provider where i bougth my phone, and they said it should be send to repair. So on monday im going to send it. Anyone know how long it would take ?
Thanks for your answers.

sry for bad english i hope u guys understand and thanks

I hope it's not bricked; Secure booting Error!

I hope I didn't just brick my tablet...
I got it rooted just fine. Then I was trying to install a custom recovery when I got this error:
Code:
-----------------------------------------
Secure booting Error!
Cause : boot certification verify
-----------------------------------------
Every time this error is shown, the tablet freezes and I have to hold the power buttom for about 10 seconds for it to shut off.
If I try a normal boot, I get an LG logo and the error.
If I plug in the USB cable, I get a battery loading icon and the error. Not recognized on PC.
If I hold Vol- and Pwr, it will give me 4 options:
1) Continue reboot
2) Factory data reset
3) Wipe Cache
4) Safe mode boot
Option 1: Shows error.
Option 2: Give me 2 options: No (Exit) returns me to the previous 4 options. Yes produces the error.
Option 3: Shows a screwdriver and wrench icon, and says "ModeBackup & Restore Loading..." and produces the error.
Option 4: Shows error.
If I hold Vol+ and Vol- and plug in the USB cable to try download mode, I get a battery loading icon and the error. Not recognized on PC.
Any ideas what I could do?
I got into download mode. The button combo was Vol+ and Pwr.
Now I'm having problems with the LG Mobile Support Tool. When I try "Upgrade recovery" it gets stuck at "Downloading software..."
It starts downloading fast, but after it gets about 30% or so, the download speed drops to nil. My internet is stable and fast. According to NetBalancer, the LG tool starts downloading at a steady 3mb/s, and then drops to short bursts of 50-150kb/sec. I'm not having any connectivity issues with other programs.
I let it keep going earlier today for almost 4 hours. It got to about 60% and then the tool crashed.
What can I do?

Fix System Partition Error in Recovery and Unbrick Samsung GT-S5839i

Hi to all.
I finally unbricked my s5839i.
I dont know if it works for other Samsung models but it worked fine to my device. So if you are not sure dont do it.
1. First thing to do is to download Odin3 v3.04
2. Last thing you have to dounload this .rar file it contain all the files needed.http://www.4shared.com/rar/PyUe5q3X/S5839i_ODIN_AND_FILES_.html it worked fine.It is not my language but i couldn't find something else.
4. After you have finished dounloading, run Odin3 v3.04.
a. Click BOOTLOADER button and select: BOOT_S5839iBVLC2_REV00.tar.md5
b. Click PDA button and select: PDA_S5839iBVLC3_REV00.tar.md5
c. Click Phone button and select: MODEM_S5839iBVLC1_REV00.tar.md5
d. Click CSC button and select: GT-S5839i-csc_ext-IDELC1.tar.md5
5. Put your phone into Download Mode: Press Power + Volume Up+Down and in the Warning screen press the volume up.
Connect USB cable to your phone and the program must read the Com number it takes.
Click Start button in Odin3 v3.04 and the update process will start.
Do not touch or remove anything till the device rebooted and you can see PASS word on the program.
Thats it.Your phone reboots into android. It may take longer to boot ,so be patient.
Now you can change the language to your native one.
I hope i helped.
If you dont get it watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDRgFfPK6JE
If you follow these steps, you do it on your oun risk.

Am I Bricked?

Hi Guys,
I'm on a budget so I picked up an android off Craigslist today. Here is my problem -
Samsung S3 Rooted
Phone was working fine until I went into TWRP and wiped everything I could, and formated the phone. Obviously, I don't know exactly what I did.
Immediate problem -
Phone is stuck on boot, and I can't get into Fastboot, or a safe mode.
When I reset the phone, (by holding Power), the phone vibrates, shows a battery cell, then gets stuck on the boot screen. I guess this guy was using KToonsez KT747 - Kernel Dominaton, because that's what it says when I boot up. Then it just gets stuck there.
If I reset the phone and hold VolUp/Home/Pwr, it just gets stuck in a loop where it just vibrates over and over.
If I reset the phone and hold VolDn/Home/Pwr, I get the following -
Warning
A custom OS can cause critical problems ... ...If you want to download a custom OS press the volume up key. Otherwise, press the volume down key to cancel. If I press the VolDn key, it reboots and get stuck at the boot screen where it shows KToonsez KT747 - Kernel Dominaton. If I press the VolUp key, it gets stuck at Downloading... Do not turn off target !!
In the top left it shows the following...
Product name: SGH-T999N
Custom Binary Download: Yes (4 counts)
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: None
Qualcom Secureboot: Enable
Warranty Bit: 1
Bootloader AP SWREV:1
WHAT. DO.
Suggestions anyone?
Thank you,
Nate
If you have a PC you could go back to download mode and restore the stock software and see if that fixes the issue. If it does you could use download mode and Odin to reinstall Twrp and start flashing roms.
Download the latest ROM for the phone from here (it's slow so be patient): http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SGH-T999N/ . Unzip the file once to get a tar.md5 file.
Download Odin 3.07 from here: https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&rct=...5QWImOPDJboTA_V3D5S9eA&bvm=bv.131783435,d.amc
Samsung USB drivers: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SGH-T999NBATMB
Install the Samsung drivers.
Open Odin, uncheck everythign except f reset time.
Click on PDA and select the tar.md5 file you unzipped.
Boot phone into download mode by pressing home, volume down, and power, then volume up.
Connect the phone to the computer using the original Samsung USB cable and the phone should show up as a COM port.
Flash the phone by clicking on start.
When you see the word "reset" in the status window, remove the USB cable from the phone, remove the battery, replace the battery, boot into recovery by holding down the home, volume up, and power button.
Perform a factory reset/wipe and reboot.
