Put your phone to download mode (hold down: volume down, home key, power)
DO NOT plug in your phone yet, Odin / driver does not like it at this stage.
Start Odin3
Tick "Re-Partition", check that "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" have been ticked.
Click "PIT" button and select s1_odin_20100512.pit file.
Plug in the phone and wait until Odin finds it.
Click "Start" button... <Firmware update start...> <Get PIT for mapping...> appear. The phone will turn off and the screen indicates "Reset". Wait until Odin indicates "Pass".
Plug out your phone, remove the battery, put it back in and put phone to download mode again.
Click "Reset" button in Odin and untick "Re-Partition" box.
DO NOT select PIT file again.
Click "PDA" button and select "CODE_I9000XWJM9.tar.md5" file.
Click "MODEM" button and select "MODEM_I9000XXJM4.tar.md5" file.
Click "CSC" button and select the desired version "CSC_I9000???JM?.tar.md5".

thanks
gonna try this now:
This screen does not always mean your phone is bricked. If you have a hardware locked vibrant, maybe, however, if your phone is not hardware locked, unplug the USB cable from the phone, Hold down Vol UP+Vol Down+Power, the screen will flash black, continue holding down all 3 buttons, you will see the "phone--!--PC" screen again, continue holding all 3 buttons, the screen will flash black again, release the power button only. This will put you into Download Mode.
No :/ Not working
If you can`t get in download mode ( 3 button combo ), you`re out of luck.
Okay :/ well i contacted my provider where i bougth my phone, and they said it should be send to repair. So on monday im going to send it. Anyone know how long it would take ?
Thanks for your answers.

I just got a Sony XPeria Play from Ebay, and it doesnt turn on, ive charged it, but it doesnt vibrate or anything. But it does charge perfectly fine. Please could I have some tips? PC Companion won't help and I have taken the battery out and put it back in countless times.I also need some help with fast booting my phone
How can you tell it's charging?
Are you using USB to computer or USB to wall?
I can tell its charging because the screen goes to the charging icon, and I'm using usb to computer.
If you hold the search button while its off and conect the USB to your PC does the power button light turn blue? If so you can try flashing back to stock rom.
Or if you hold the back button and connect does it turn green?
Sent from my R800i using XDA
Yeah it does turn blue, but the power button doesn't respond to me pressing it...
remove the usb and make sure everthing is off, now remove the lid of the phone and press the power button. Remember you have to leave it press a couple of seconds
I've got a feeling the power button is stuffed... It still won't do anything when I hold the power button
i would also think is the power button, cause if you hold the search button and plug the phone while it of and the led on the power button turns blue, and if you hold the back button instead and it goes green, i would say that the power button is definitively the problem
Ok..don't press the power button if you're trying to put it into flash or fastboot mode. It sounds like it's one of two things: 1. the button itself is not making contact OR part of the board is busted. Either way, if you have flashtool then hold back and plug it in the usb, flash the stock ftf and flashtool will boot your phone for you.
I hope its the former! Also when I turn on flashtool, it says I need drivers, where do I get them from? Sorry for my nooby questions.
EDIT: Found the driver installation file, now I just need a stock ftf

It's ok mate don't worry, it's not being nooby
Here is the link for those drivers:
https://rapidshare.com/files/1146432065/Flashtool-drivers.exe
Install it fully, so once you open it click next and tick all the boxes. I know some are useless but just incase select all. Thats what I did It will take a bit of time I know and messages keep poping up and just go along with and it will eventually finnish. I had this problem too.
You can find this driver installation file in the directory of flashtool aswell.
It should be in -> C:\Flashtool\drivers or something like that.
Good luck
Ok so I need a stock ftf file...

Mybe u should jst try reboot using command prompt 1st. Jst to be sure that is related to the power button or not. Install all driver. Mke sure the phne is off, hold the search button n connect to the pc n see light turn blue. After that open command prompt n type "fastboot reboot". If it reboot then u'll know its the power button related.
Thanks vokal1992
Do this:
1.- Open flashtool
2.- Hold the search button on your phone
3.- Connect usb cable while holding the search button
4.- In flash tool press the lightning icon
5.- Select fastboot mode
6.- Select Reboot in system
7.- Enojoy
Hmm, now I'm thinking it's a broken battery, because it gives up on me as soon as I unplug...

Unplug it after it reboots
It reboots into the charging thing and when I unplug it, it dies.
in flash tool, does it say connected in fastboot mode?
U need to enable the usb debugging to be able to reboot using flashtool. Mybe the easiest way is to flash another stock .ftf.
Thanks vokal1992
well, if you need to flash ftf heres a list of them:

Sorry, no idea.
i beleive that 4.3 and brick problem is only if you took the OTA factory update . i didnt use these files but i did use that exact procedure and i was on CM 10.2 which is 4.3.1 and had no problems. i tried a friends sim card from rogers( im on virgin mobile) and it worked great .
where's the 4.1.1 file? hotfile is closed so http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ doesn't work
I'm just getting started trying to root my Galaxy Tab S SM-T700, and I have run into a couple problems.
I have installed the USB drivers from Samsung, and I have downloaded and extracted CF_AutoRoot to my desktop.
Now the website I was using to tell me how to do it says that next I need to download the CWM Recovery Image, which brought me to this site.
When I click the link to download it, I get a blue/purple screen saying Access Denied.
Also it says that I have to enter download mode on my Tab S by powering down, then turning it back on holding the power_volume down buttons, and this does not seem to work, it just turns on, but it stays on the powering on splash screen until I release the buttons, and when I release the buttons, it just powers on like normal.
I was going to link a screen shot of the Access Denied thing, but this forum will not let me.
Cheers
Download Mode - Power Off Device, Press Power Button + Volume Down + Home Button until a menu appears, then choose to enter download mode.
For your other problem, go to this link: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23991606952591595
(Credits to ashyx)
Download the file, extract it and you are left with a .tar file. Now open odin, go to download mode as explained above, connect your device to your pc (I use 3.07 for my T700) and flash it. (Ap, choose .tar file, start)
It will root your device and flash a TWRP custom recovery.
Hi to all.
I finally unbricked my s5839i.
I dont know if it works for other Samsung models but it worked fine to my device. So if you are not sure dont do it.
1. First thing to do is to download Odin3 v3.04
2. Last thing you have to dounload this .rar file it contain all the files needed.http://www.4shared.com/rar/PyUe5q3X/S5839i_ODIN_AND_FILES_.html it worked fine.It is not my language but i couldn't find something else.
4. After you have finished dounloading, run Odin3 v3.04.
a. Click BOOTLOADER button and select: BOOT_S5839iBVLC2_REV00.tar.md5
b. Click PDA button and select: PDA_S5839iBVLC3_REV00.tar.md5
c. Click Phone button and select: MODEM_S5839iBVLC1_REV00.tar.md5
d. Click CSC button and select: GT-S5839i-csc_ext-IDELC1.tar.md5
5. Put your phone into Download Mode: Press Power + Volume Up+Down and in the Warning screen press the volume up.
Connect USB cable to your phone and the program must read the Com number it takes.
Click Start button in Odin3 v3.04 and the update process will start.
Do not touch or remove anything till the device rebooted and you can see PASS word on the program.
Thats it.Your phone reboots into android. It may take longer to boot ,so be patient.
Now you can change the language to your native one.
I hope i helped.
If you dont get it watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uDRgFfPK6JE
If you follow these steps, you do it on your oun risk.
Hi
I've been asked to reset the tablet so I went into settings - backup and restore and choose to factory reset, tablet rebooted and since then it keeps showing the "downloading do not turn off target". I tried already all buttons combinations and I can restart it but it goes back to the download screen and there is no way to turn it off. Unfortunately I didn't thought to enable USB debug or whatever in development options. Is there anything else I can do to get it back? Either custom or stock rom, I don't care. Thanks

1. Connect the tablet to your computer using a USB cable.
2. Grab the latest firmware from either Updato or SamMobile (you have to register in the latter website).
3. Download Odin from odindownload.com (make sure to press the white and blue lettered download box).
4. Once downloaded, extract and open Odin using administrator privileges (right-click the program file and click "Run as Administrator").
5. In the top left corner it should say "COMnumber)" if you successfully connected your tablet.
6. Extract your firmware file that you downloaded.
7. Click the AP button, and select the .img.tar file (I think).
8. Go to the "Options" tab in the mid-left hand corner, and tick "Auto Reboot" (skip if automatically enabled).
9. Click the "Start" button in Odin.
10. Wait for it to complete. Do not do anything at this point, including disconnecting your tablet, turning off your PC, closing Odin and etc.
11. Once your tablet is done downloading, it should reboot.
12. Once rebooted and on the setup screen, turn it off
13. Press the following buttons altogether at the same time: Volume Up+Home+Power
14. It should boot into the recovery. If not, turn off the device and press Volume Down+Home+Power.
15. Once in the recover, using the volume keys to navigate and the power button to select, press "factory reset" or "wipe" and then select "yes" and it will begin.
16. Once done with the wipe, reboot your device.
17. Voila! If I am wrong in something here, hopefully someone can correct it.
