Hi,
it's possible to flash only new/changed part of the rom?
Now im on ARHD 9.2.0 ( one x), and actual version is 9.3.1, but if i flash it i will loose all flashed mods ( battery icon, sense 4.5 camera, APM and EQS).
Thank you.

If you are coming from older version of a ROM it should not affect current mods. Just remember not to wipe data and everything should be ok

Yes it will.
You'll have to flash the mods again.

I know, but I thought that maybe there is another way to update without losing installed mods.
and what about https://www.otaupdatecenter.pro/ ?
Mods are written for a certian base, if you're moving up in base then the mods will have to be re-written unless otherwise stated

It is the same base 2.17. .
so mods should remain after flashing new rom?
but i always have to flash them after flashing new rom.
The issue is when flashing the new ROM it obviously overwrites the Mods so you'll still have to flash them after flashing the ROM. You won't have to wipe data, though
That's the reason I switched to stock again . I need the Rom which doesnt need full wipe when ever base change . Like how HTC sends OTA

Some roms like viperX have OTA. and it's like stock OTA update, only few MB and not whole rom.
A "mod" is basically a modified framework-file that replaces the original framework-file when flashed. For instance a battery% mod is part of the file systemUI.apk . As you cannot install only parts of that file, the whole file is replaced by the mod. The other way round of course, any new rom will again flash the original version of that file, thus overwriting and deleting the mod.
That is good ofc when the new rom NEEDS another systemui.apk, because the old, modded one would bring trouble. But if you stay on the same base it means additional work.
That is unavoidable unfortunately, at least in general (there are some theming mods that avoid that, but that would work only when the only modded files are graphics, not when code is involved).
I hope that explains the problem and it's reasons a bit.

This rom is modified from MIUI android to work with clk bootloader. Please give MIUI Android all the credit.
Converted from the latest MIUI available 2.3.9
The goal of this thread is for two things. I have one main goal, STABLILITY. I will keep all roms I create. Their currently are two versions.
-Stock- I will keep up to date with MIUI and release CLK versions to accompy their magldr versions. The stock rom will stay stock, that means no changes!
-Tweaked- The tweaked rom will offer things more towards my preferance, or possibly by request. Currently the only difference between Stock and Tweaked is in the tweaked version MIUI launcher has been removed and replaced with Go Launcher. If you would like to see something included in this rom, please post.
(tweaked version is currently discontinued)

thanks for this one, works nicely.
will stick with it for now..
Just a head's up - for those of you who like as much internal space for apps as possible, a 150/5 partition is more than sufficient to run this ROM, considering the extracted /system size is about 137MB.
I used that size, worked fine for me.

No worries bud, we all have to start somewhere.
A good measure of what partition size you need is by checking the extracted size of all the files going into the /system partition in your ROM zip (usually just the "system" folder in a ROM zip file, but could include other directories, depending on how the ROM installs), and then rounding up to the nearest multiple of 10.
In other words, if I built a ROM, and saw the extracted "system" directory (and/or any other directory being extracted to /system) in the ROM works out to be around 173MB, I'd recommend using a 180MB partition for /system.
Keep up the good work, really useful to have a CLK version of MIUI.
MrP.

I can extract the apps, but I can't guarantee they will work on anything but this system.

I don't quite get what you're looking for, please explain it a bit further.
If you're asking where to find the standard MIUI apps to add to this ROM, then you must have missed in the OP that no changes have been made, and hence all the standard included apps are in this ROM already.
Alternatively, if you want all the basic MIUI apps for something else, why not just download the ROM, and extract those you want from the ROM zip?
Sorry if I don't quite get what you meant.
MrP.
EDIT: kylew1212 beat me to it.
This rom was for personal use. But I use this rom, with a little tweaking. I use go launcher so that my home screen isn't cluttered. Would anyone be interested in a miui version with a little tweaking? I will keep the stock one but I may build a tweaked version. Let me know if interested.

Firstly, thanks, i'd like to have it untweaked. Stock is Stock. Ya we al may do without that Xiaomi account
color branding
I have a question for you all, hoping I can solve this, finally...after months.
I am using MIUI for months now, with Tytungs r14 kernel. (also tried Dorimanx kernel, but that one has the same issue)
This solves the majority of the color branding issues, but you will get a 'full' fix upon changing the MIUI launcher settings to 'hi-res', which massively destroys the smoothness of the scrolling.
MIUI themselves say it can't happen, though I still have this g**damn color branding issue, when not using hi-res scrolling. There has to be something in that launcher (with other launchers like adw, go launcher, launcherpro, this can be simply fixed by completely disabling the scrolling cache in those settings) to fix this.
Does anybody know how to do this with the MIUI launcher? I love MIUI, but I want something that looks 100%, and i can't live with the color branding stuff (as it also shows in the wallpapers).

This is a completely stock rom. The reason I say it was made for my personal use is because I prefer Clk over Magldr. MIUI only publishes a Magldr version. I converted this Magldr version (for my myself) to clk. I changed nothing else. It is completely stock except now it works on two bootloaders instead of one. I uploaded the original(magldr) and my own(clk).

Also have you tried newer versions of MIUI? Possibly they fixed this unknowingly? Sorry I'm not very much help on this at the moment..

no it is not. unlocking the bootloader gives you the option to flash custom roms. to have S-OFF it will give you the option and freedom to flash kernels through recovery(which means no stupid fastboot no more) and radios. Currently the only think you can flash is roms. Kernel is through fastboot which stinks but we can live with it
S-OFF – What And Why?
HTC have installed a sort of security check whose level is determined by S-OFF/S-ON. Essentially, this security level is a flag stored on the device’s radio that checks signature images for any firmware before it is allowed to be written to system memory. This hinders using any custom ROMs, splash images, recovery etc., and also restricts access to the NAND flash memory. However, when security level is set to S-OFF, the signature check is bypassed, allowing a user to upload custom firmware images, unsigned boot, recovery, splash and HBOOT images, as well as official firmware that has been modified, this enabling maximum customization of your HTC Android device.
Furthermore, S-OFF also reduces restrictions on accessing the NAND flash memory on the device, allowing all partitions (including /system) to be mounted in write mode while the operating system is booted.

I can not remember, sorry. But I have given you the link, go and research it please.
Here is a 4.3 ROM built from AOSP source designed to emulate what a Verizon 4.3 ROM would be like. The changes from AOSP include the addition of GAPPS, addition of Verizon apps, appropriate binaries so everything works, addition of busybox, correct eri.xml, home screen layout to mimic a stock ROM, and the removal of the tethering restriction. The ROM is not pre-rooted, so flash Chainfire's SuperSU if you want root.

I'd recommend a full factory reset, but people can try what they feel comfortable with. Personally, I did a factory reset, wiped both caches, and then flashed the ROM (with TWRP).

Do you have any on your sdcard partition in the Ringtones folder? If not, I'd check \system\media\audio path (subfolders for ringtones, alarms, etc). Delete any duplicates you find in there. I don't have any duplicates and there aren't any in the rom.zip I uploaded.
just overwrote mms.apk in system/apps to get the custom pink mms, and got a quick reboot to my boot screen, this never happened on 4.1 roms that weren't source, don't know if this is normal because i replaced the app and it was a one time thing (i hope). as far as going to system/media/ringtones, i see them but there arent any doubles, however theres doubles when i go to select a ringtone from the menu, for everything system related, ringtones and notifications.
What issues have people had? Any boot issues?
I replaced the "stock" keypress ogg files from ics/jelly bean that sound better with this 4.1.1 release, the new key click sounds are horrible. works fine. i used to have t-cdma 64 with any build from 4.1.1 there is a fix that works that ill just apply. its a xml file or something.
Update Posted September 26 2014:
Numerous fixes and additions:
Added Slimbean Extras including Email, Exchange2, Launcher2, Music2 and VideoEditor
Camera delay is positively fixed - absoultely no delay
Removed FM radio which does not work
Instructions:
I always prefer fresh install.
You may try, if you wish and if you already have the previous version, to flash this on top;
If you are doing fresh install, see original instructions (full wipe).
P.S. When you boot for the first time, you will get:
1. Notificaiton that email app stopped (disregard it, the app will work without any further messages)
2. Notification that SU binary should be updated: follow instructions
Regarding bootloops: Do a fresh install, which is always preferred. Also, remember, custom roms based on Cyanogen want all system apps signed by the same key. If you have SU or any other app that you installed in the system (and then flash update on top) that means that those apps are signed by different keys, which would result in a bootloop during subsequent updates. Do research and learn about not messing with system apps. Neither SU nor any other app needs to be installed in system. Also, the same applies if you decompile and mess with a system app - once you re-compile the app, you'll have to sign it and your key is different, which again means bootloop.
Also remember that this rom is designed to work with Stock JB 4.1.2 kernel only. If you have an unlocked bootloader and custom kernel, you will get bootloop and/or other issues
Before posting this update, I reformatted my phone and did a fresh install: no issues. You know what it means: I don't want to hear about bootloops.

Rom checked on my device: boots 100% in about 25 seconds. Just re-uploaded. This might have been an issue of a corrupt upload.
Slimbean latest release built from sources on September 6, 2014. This is for IONs with locked bootloaders. This is not Kitkat, it is based on JB 4.1.2, which is ages more stable.
Changes:
1. Open source Launcher Advanced (one of few open launchers)
2. Terminal and FM radio added (were missing in original release by Olivier)
3. Battery/Wifi fixes incorporated in code prior to building
4. Radio menu fixed (now when you dial *#*#4636#*#* and go to phone, you no longer get F/C)
5. Default network changed to LTE
The phone seems snappier than with the original release, perhaps because the rom was built on Gentoo, which is the best Linux around. But maybe it is just placebo. You decide.
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Be rooted, have Recovery and JB 4.1.2 kernel
2. Enter recovery, wipe System/Data/Cache (remember factory reset is not enough)
3. Flash the rom, reboot and let it settle, which shouldn't take long
4. Enjoy and press thank you or perhaps donate...

Thanks for the rom. I just flashed it and rebooted.. the screen is stuck on the slimbean logo for over 10 minutes.. the slimbean logo is flashing normally as if its about to load. You think something went wrong and I should interrupt it?
EDIT: So i interrupted after about 12 minutes by holding power and volume up keys and entered twrp to go back to previous rom. Will try back later.

I'll look into it. Did you do system/cache/data wipe prior to flashing?
Sorry to ask again but can we have INLINE/INVOICE CALL RECORDER like the one seen in your honami ROM. I think it was a part of 0.96w fw jellybean 4.1.2. I really need it and so do others too

Did anyone else get stuck on slimbean logo?
Rom re-uploaded: works fine
I checked the rom and it boots on my ION fine. Re-uploaded. This might have been an issue of a corrupt upload.
Downloading, will try tomorrow after school is out. Thank you Optimum you and your damn roms tempt me as much as i tell myself to stick to stock after CM10 had quite a few issues on my end i guess.
Also on a side note if you need mirrors, I can make two or three.
Can we have kitkat like notification quick settings in this rom ?

Yup, I wiped system/data/cache and haven't had any problems with flashing other roms before/after this rom.
I see that you re-uploaded.. will give it a try later today. Thank you.
I had the same problem, stuck at the logo. I'll try another download too.

It's working great now. I installed an Xperia z2 ported launcher and the two together are running fine.

I'm not really a picture taker. Post #3 in this thread has a flashable camera. I'm not sure it would work on this rom, but I would flash it and if it didn't work just do a restore from backup.

Small Apps
Does anyone low of how I can get small apps back? Although they're not a deal breaker, I actually used a couple of them and would like them back.

You can try these:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2066827
But that would go against AOSP nature of this rom.

Ok, I'm slowly catching on. I switched from iPhone a couple of months ago and had gotten an HTC One which I unlocked the boot loader, did the S-Off and rooted. I run AOKP on that phone and the xperia was a backup to carry when I'm running or cycling. As it turns out, my wife's iPhone is messing up so I've put a sense rom back on the One. She likes getting that feed screen and all. Now the Xperia is my main phone. I guess Honami is the Sony equivalent of proprietary like sense is to HTC.
I've found I like the Sony's and will probably replace the HTC with a Z1 or Z1 compact but I need to do some research as unlocking the boot loader is a requirement. It wasn't so important on the ion due to its purpose, plus I couldn't find an I or H at a reasonable price.
I realize I've gotten wordy and a touch off topic and apologize.
I'll keep my eyes out for a camera and as for the multi tasking, I forgot there's an xposed app that may allow some multi tasking.
I really do appreciate the ROM and am especially grateful to the dev of this rom for making it usable on a locked boot loader.
Hello guys. in this thread Mini says:" Only way to fix Wi-Fi for stock is to merge stock source into my current kernel and I really don't want to do that.. so unfortunately users will have to stay on stock kernel for stock roms."
link to her post and thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67372709&postcount=104
anyone can do it? I (I'm sure many others as well) are ready to donate.
I tried to replace some file in the "Module" folder, as well as their entire folder, but without success.
Why do you even need to do that? Just get the Wi-Fi module from a M8 ROM and replace it with yours, you're done. Don't want to do this all, flash the zip in attachment, it will do the work.
