Anyone have any issues opening links with the stock browser? I have to hold my finger on a link then hit open to view the Page instead of just touching the link once to open it.
Gets really annoying.

Hear lots of.people.raving about it but.is.it just me or are the settings options limited and is it all that, examples are when you go into bookmarks and select the chrome tab no option to creat folders in there, when pinch to zoom the text doesn't resize to fit the screen .I'm use to dolphin which seems for more user friendly .Any tips on getting the best out of chrome as I think I need to get on board with it then I can link it with my pc and tablet

I also couldn't find the option to switch between desktop and mobile mode.
When you press the menu menu on the chrome top bar you have an option to "Request desktop site".

I think the rave about chrome is less about its options and more about its pure speed. I personally thing the stock android 4.0 browser has more options. Although this latest update of chrome made it kinda sluggish IMO
Lack of a true exit button is why I'll continue to use Dolphin as my browser of choice
Gestures in dolphin is fantastic, hopefully chrome will have similar support.

Btw guys, dolphin user, where the hell is the tab switcher now in version 8.0? Been trying to look for it, no dice. It was there all along on the previous versions, when swipe left, in line with the add-ons(at the bottom part).
My favourite thing about it is that you can have chrome tabs open on your desktop and bam - click the button and they will appear on your phone. It is pretty smart.
Lack of Flash can be slightly irritating

Flashify is the app.
In the latest Chrome update you can play embedded YouTube videos by clicking on them and it opens them with the Youtube app.
I've seen this 'pop up' a couple of times now on my GN2, but for the life of me I don't know how to manually open it?
There doesn't appear to be any app for it or settings shortcut. Does anyone know how to manually open this?
Cheers

well for me it is really useful when browsing...and you click a link that opens in a new window, then you can have this new window in a pop up browser while having the main browser running in background, if you dont enlarge the pop up you can see both pages...
sorry for my bad english
Im trying to use a shortcut creator to open the pop up browser but can't find the app. Any of you know what it might be called? Thanks!
ps - popup is great for watching youtube while doing other things. will do for now since t-mo didn't get the update.

So, i am on att i1317 4.1.2 android with multi window enabled.
Is it possible to open any url from gmail to chrome in multiwindow automatcally? this would be a great boost to the productivity rather manually dropping gmail and chrome into two windows.
I thought that was what pop up browser was for. .. I know it's not Chrome but still. ..

Popup browser is pretty much useless for the following reasons:
1. It comes as a popup rather fit as a multi-window slot
2. If you need to read more and make it full screen it reloads the entire page again making it very inefficient thing to do
3. being a popup its mostly obstructive to the base window
4. And finally its not a chrome
So, would have been nice to have a way to open urls directly in the chrome as a multi-window rather manually doing it
Is there anyway to have all tabs including current tab opened to close once you exit the browser? I would like to be able to close the browser and have a blank page show when I reopen the browser instead of the page I was on.

If there's an option on your phone to kill the app once you leave it, then that would close the tabs. As for opening a blank page you could just set the homepage to a blank page.
sorry it's not much help.
Whenever I'm reading xda on Google+ on my phone (s3 with CM10.2), clicking on the links brings up the browser and then utorrent. Doesn't happen on my computer. Can someone fix the links?
Can you give an example about when this happens?
The only utorrent links we have are on our downloads page in DevDB. Other than that, nothing should be opening in utorrent.
Any time I click on one of the feedproxy links from a G+ PST from xda, the stock browser opens with the correct link followed immediately with a utorrent window with a prompt to download. I didn't change the utorrent settings on installation or add any file associations to it.
