how to disable talk back - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Anytime I am online using the default browser or dolphin HD it continues to speak areas that I zoom in on but I am only trying to read it myself. How do I get rid of this annoying feature? I check under accessibility and talk back is turned off. I'm using perfect android JB 4.1.1.

If you're not rooted, you can disable the app in System > Apps

Thank you x 1,000.
UPDATE: This app is now called "Google text-to-speech engine"
UPDATE: On Samsung there is also "Samsung TTS"
Background: Tried turning off Talkback in accessibility, turning off driver mode, uninstalling LightFlow. Nothing. This baby got turned permanently on. What a royal pain in the a$s.
OMG Thank you so much... This clue helped me finally get her off. But it is some kind of bug. I shouldn't have to permanently disable a system app just to stop her from talking whenever I use a browser . It took forever to figure out how to shut this thing off. This was like use a bomb to kill a spider, but whatever.

I get this message that pops up at the bottom and disappears. It says "You set to use Wifi only, but Wifi is not connected".
Anyone know how to get rid of this? I don't remember changing any settings. It doesn't affect the way I use the phone but it's really annoying because it pops up frequently. I notice it when I go back to the homescreen. Thanks in advance.
Check to see which apps are running in the background when the message pops up and then look in the settings of each app. Looks like one is trying to update, it could be anything but I've never seen a message like that.

I used to get that a lot on my EVO 4G. Somewhere along the line you may have been conected to WiFi and started an App for the first time and accidentally clicked a popup asking to always use Wifi. For me it was the NetFlix App. Then I did it again a few weeks later with the YouTube App. Just go into the settings of any apps that you commonly use on WiFi, I don't think there are too many that even give you this option...
yea.. simple.. an app is trying to use wifi.. think hard! you'll figure out which one it is and fix it lol

Titanium hangs up

Guys
My titanium backup pretty much gets stuck on different apps every week. This time, it's hung up at 73% on shopsavvy 5.0.5, an app which I barely use and was definitely not open.I could start removing apps but it hangs on a different app each week
Anybody else seen these problems?
Thx

I have. Not sure why but it will just randomly get stuck on an app until I force close it.
How do you force close it?

On some ROMs you can go into Developer Options and enable long press back to force close which is the easiest way. Or just go into your phone's Settings --> Apps then find Titanium and select force close. Or if using the stock launcher just drag it from your app drawer to your home screen where it says App Info.
It looks like they may have fixed it.

Allshare background data usage

Anyone else seeing high background wifi data use by allshare service? I have had my att note 2 for less than a week and it shows 666 mb of data. I have noticed a couple times where this service is killing my battery untill i force close it. I tried to disable in app settings but it wouldnt let me. I have never actually used this service for anything.

If you are willing to root your device you will be able to dosable this app or uninstall it. The reason you cannot disable it is they have balled their bloatware into the system apps. Those are the ones you cannot disable it in settings and apps.
You can use tibu or any other means to uninstall it
Ya figured I could if I rooted, but not doing that until I'm for sure keeping the phone. Only one week into owning and haven't decided 100% yet.

in that case you may want to just try a good ol fashioned battery pull and disable background data and processes in the settings menu.
Thanks for the advice but actually already done both. The data has only gone up by about 10mb since yesterday though. It's not a big deal just trying to figure out why that much data is being transfered for a service I have never used.

have you tried disabling allowing the phone to use your location for informatioon gathering, stuff like that will also affect background processes.

It's not Google it's LGs Voice Mate. Yeah it's pretty annoying. Had this problem this morning too but it only started to download when I connected to wifi.

Mine is downloading over 4G how to stop or disable it tho ?
You can't it starts on its own. It's really, really annoying. I tried disabling this but can't. I guess we'll have to root the thing before we can finally get rid of this "feature"

I got it to stop downloading by disabling download manager.
But you need to enable it again if you want to download apps from the play store.

I had same problem
I fixed it this way: Settings -> applications -> all -> Download manager -> remove data and clean cache.
After while downloads success
I had the same problem, it will only download over WiFi, until then you have this notification.
Clearing Download Manager data and cache or killing the process is only a temporary solution.
Same problem...But,it will download eventually! No worries... Just take it easy, sit back, watch some movie and by the time you think it is not done it will be over

Overlay issue.

I get this when I use swipe pad or LMT. I have to disable them temporarily so I can allow some apps permission. It took me a while to figure out those apps were causing them. Go to open setting and disable 5 at a time.

I have the same issue. I have to disable swipe home button overlay temporarily to allow app permissions then turn it back on. Makes no sense but that's the issue.
take a look here : http://forums.androidcentral.com/ne...-detected-change-permission-6p-messed-up.html

Fix Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Screen overlay detected error Easily
Im have this issue on my Note 7
I even went to Samsung Cust Ser they format & fresh install software still same issue
Brand new phone has issues
Has anyone changed there Device & got rid of the issue ?
wondering if that is the ONLY WAY ?
It's annoying but you just have to go into overlay permissions and just disable all apps to change settings then you can turn back on what you turned off.
