Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped - T-Mobile, Samsung Galaxy SIII

Hello,
Just started happening about 4 days ago, this message will pop up when im actually using the cell like internet, etc. ive googled and seen the threads on here with pple using rooted or mod and also not specific to my phone. My phone is Mobilicity and I havent changed it, its all stock; and 6 days ago i reset to factory default. I dont mind doing another reset but its quite annoying like when scrolling through and it stops, i have to wait 5 seconds for the message "Unfortunately, the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped", and click OK; then a few minutes later it does the same thing.
I also have that message bug, says i have messages when i clearly dont.
For your consideration,

Read my comment on disabling sync internet. Do that first before you go all out and wipe everything. I had the same issue. It might work for you too.

So glad I found this thread. I started having this problem on my Galaxy Note 10.1 out of the blue, then it started on my Note II phone.
So I unchecked sync internet. We will see.

Gmail not sending messages?

Anyone got any ideas? They just hang in the outbox and don't send.
I'm on mobile data. Anyone got any ideas?
They get received fine

Doesn't work on Wifi either :/
I noticed this problem the other day on my phone as well. It cleared up after I turned off wifi and rebooted and it seems to be working well now.

I've had this happen on different Android devices for me. Not sure the exact root cause, but clearing the application's data forces Gmail to resync. This has always resolved this issue for me in the past.
Hope that helps!

On the Galaxy Nexus go into Settings -> Apps -> All (tab) -> Gmail -> Clear Data.
If you wanna play it super safe, restart the phone, but probably just opening Gmail up will allow it to recognize its memory has been erased and trigger the re-sync process.
Welcome to Android!!
Hope that helps!
Happened to me also, clear data and reset the app.

This worked for me (Galaxy SII - i9100), but note that all mail stuck in the outbox will be lost.

GMail Sending Issues?

Has anyone been having issues with their Gmail not sending emails?
I have tried to send emails but I keep getting the "sending..." notification in the email header.
The syncing icon in the taskbar just keeps spinning.
Ive tried to reboot the phone, etc.
Nothing.
I"m on Caulkin's ROM.
This is really frustrating as I use my phone for work as well and it delays my response times to important Clients.
Thanks!
Yeah experimented that a couple of weeks a go and dont know what of the 3 things I did was the one that worked:
1)Go to settings/Applications/Manage Applications in there go where the gmail app is (Downloaded or All) and clear the app data
2)If it have been updated in the market search for it in your apps in the market app ...uninstall it and reinstall
3)The last option is to use Root Explorer to go to system/apps delete the gmail app there and from other source paste another copy of the gmail app
Hope it works

I had the same issue on a stock rom (rooted). Turned out it was an app called Seal that was the culprit.
I learned that whenever I restore a backup, I have the clear data in Gmail or I get the same issue.
Not sure if it's the same cause for yours but clear data and send a test email. Pm me after, I'm interested to see if this works

Yup.
That's exactly what did it for me.
I went from UnNamed over to Caulkins last week and did a Titianium restore of my app+data.
Cleared the data in Applications>Gmail. That did the trick.

[Q] Gmail Not Syncing

Hi All,
Long time reader, first time poster. I've tried searching for this topic, and those threads the touch on it all stop short of my issue. Please let me know if this is covered somewhere else.
My gmail stopped syncing since I've flashed Darkside Evolution Beta03 (otherwise it's great). I've tried clearing the cache and the data under manage applications as well as made sure that gmail is checked on the sync menu, but still no dice.
It used to be that my phone would beep whenever I got a new email before it even showed up on my desktop, but now I have to manually hit refresh for the app to see it at all, let alone before my computer.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I tried this and no dice. It's still not syncing. I suppose I could always revert back to Juggernaut 5.0, which is what I was running before this, but it would be such a shame for what seems like a stupid reason.
Anyone else with thoughts?
Did you try to go to the accounts option and check the sync gmail?

Yes, I tried this, and it did not work. The only time it syncs is if I actually tell it to sync. There is nothing automatic about it ...

Did you by any chance turn sync off by accident

I've been in that forum since day one and have never heard of this issue. Of course I may have missed a post or 20. I suggest not going back like u said, for such a stupid reason. I think ull really enjoy the rom. Reflash cuz that shouldn't happen. I doubt you need to reflash but instead of nitpicking what it could be I'd just super wipe and start over. Good luck.

Thanks to both Teo032 and bzlik88.
I don't know why, but I just reflashed everything, starting from scratch, and it all seems to be working fine. It was the weirdest thing.
Coulda just told your Google account to sync with Gmail XD

(A) MMS not working when connected to wifi

I'm not sure what causes this bug, but it has remained present for me in all roms since jelly bean. I would constantly have to disconnect from wifi to make the mms messages send, but after looking around a bit, I found this helpful post from tr1zrus

But what I was saying is cleare MMS cache.
I did have problems getting MMS. Was saying "Downloading" and nothing happened after that.
I did go to menu->settings->applications-> messaging. and hit clear cache button.
Reboot the phone and all is good ever since.

[Q] "Unfortunately, Contacts has stopped."

Hey there.
So every time I try to edit a contact, I get this error message that "Unfortunately, contacts has stopped." It doesn't do it when I edit all of my contacts but when I try to edit some particular one's the message pops up.
I've tried doing a factory reset, clearing the app data, syncing contacts. None of it has worked. Has anyone else run into this problem? And if so, any solutions?
Same issue. Only happens on a few contacts. Would like to know a fix as well.

My girlfriend's G3 doesn't do this from what I've seen so I'm thinking about taking it to T-Mobile and getting it replaced. I haven't been able to find a solution anywhere else.
have you changed your DPI?
Just reread your post, you said you did a factory reset.
Try this:

it has something to do with the birthdays, read post #7
