Use better battery state and check whose eating your battery....

maybe that's because you're using custom rom and/or there're many apps/services that running in the background.

I think you want this subforum, bro.
hey i jus got the galaxy im jus wondering
for all the phones pros out there
what are the main 10 things you need to do on ur galaxy nexus
for example

blah blah blah etc
how to change the clock LOOK?
Root, flash custom rom and kernel.
I recommend AOKP with Franco kernel.

best task killer app for free ?
im a noob bro ..
i dont know how to do those things
I'm not a pro, but I can share my experiences. I used stock nexus for a few days, but then unlocked and rooted it for roms and kernels and launchers which improved my battery life and added few useful options (lockscreens with apps shortcuts, changing icons, quick access to setting toggles, search button in navigation bar, battery icons with percentage and so on, and so on).
My favorite apps are: airdroid, greader, deezer and usual suspects: kindle, google+, twitter, dropbox. Games: tiny tower, whale trail, winter walk, puzzle quest 2, angry birds, blobby volley, spirit, decoy and snes and nes emulators.
Im no pro either but was able to root my phone following the guides on here. It is the first phone I've rooted and I couldn't be happier with it.

Best one? None at all. Don't use it.
You don't have to root right away. If you're not comfortable with it (although its pretty fool-proof) don't do it. You can always backup with adb before rooting and restore your stuff afterward. I'd advise you get comfortable with the experience first.
so after u rooted it u can see the percentage on the battery and does it last longer after u rooted it
n put icons on the home screens app short cuts n stuff?
n is there app to change how the clock looks ?
thanks alot bro im not comfortable jus yet but i styll want to do it

Those are going to be features of the ROM and kernel you get, not of rooting itself. They all have different features to offer customizing (like battery %), and can often give better battery life (although a lot of it is placebo effect).

Not sure what you mean?
do u know any apps to change to clock how it looks?
do u know any apps to make the battery last longer?
do u know any apps track my phone if its lost?
sry for the questions
You already can do shortcuts on home screen, just hold your finger on the app.

i think you should show it to a professional repairman in order to test the voltage of every point of the chipset i think it has some problem to transfer and move the electricity.

the only thing I could think of (besides a professional repair service or a good electronic) is to find someone with a wildfire and try with a different battery (to see if that might be the problem).
You could also check all battery contacts if they're ok (battery and phone side).
Try to reflash it with other battery (recharged of course), if it won't work you will have nice souvenir if yes, go to proffesional person in it and he would help you
comes with a new battery and serves flaseas and if you do not overclock To prove if it was that had problems overclock
How often is everyone rebooting their phone?? I saw my boot animation once.. The first boot after flashing a rom. Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems like a ridiculous thing to care about

I reboot my phone every morning when flashing the newest CM10 nightly. And I always flash the stock jelly bean animation just because I like having a "pure" Android experience!

With all devices, I reboot maybe three times a week just to refresh. I like to see a custom or nice animation when it's loading. Really I'm trying change my splash screen. Coming from og evo, this must be done.

The great thing about Android is ability to customize. Why leave out the bootanimation?
For someone that is always flashing different roms/updates it is nice to see animation you choose to see. Just another part of the whole theme experience. Personally, I hate the stock animation because there are ones that are so much better and it is so easy to change them.
We all have our likes and dislikes. I flash Roms a lot + power cycle my phone daily. I like seeing different boot animations.

everybody wants to control and be independent. so why not experience that with urban phone even with something that people think meaningless like bootanimation. is that not why ur using a android phone not that out of the box thats what u get deal with it look from apple. just saying android gives us the customization and personalization no other OS would give us!

Rooted Evo dead.
Rooted Evo shift dead.
Rooted Galaxy s3 alive and well!
What's a boot animation?
Just kidding.
Its just another customization available to some ableAndroid users. I changed mine a few times (as a see if I could do it...) I also don't reboot often unless Im flashing a lot, so I never see if often either but when I do, it makes a smile.

I think I'm starting to see a pattern here.
All kidding aside..............
as has been said several times, the ability to customize and make it different.
It's kind of like having a chrome differential cover on a low rider.
Very few people will ever see it, but it is special to the owner because he knows he has it.
one thing to remember... these phones are basically computers and should have a soft reset done every now and then to amke sure that memory has been released back to the system. I usually turn off my phone and pull the battery for 30 seconds once a week. you should also be rebooting your PC about once a week or after running a lot of programs as RAM is volatile memory and anything left in RAM is removed during a reboot.
I have to agree with you on this... Could Care less what the phone did at boot up.. Lol. The faster the better. Some really like though, it's an option, so why not use it if you like it.

It's just one more thing that people love to customize. For those who do have to reboot their phone often, it's nice to have something you actually want to look at. (Some stock boot animations are rather annoying to watch over and over, lol) Personally, I like to have one that is mostly dark so I don't feel like it's wasting precious battery juice on unnessesary bright colors! lo

Hi
I have this rom on my htc desire and it worked great for long time..
Lately i have a problem... WHen i close an app and go to the home screen, not always, but often, the cell kind of..restart the gui...i get the white screen with the htc logo, and it reload the system.
Any idea about what it could be? I tried to reset it, reflash the rom, wipe everything but the sd.
Thank you in advance to anyone would try to give me ideas or any kind of help
It's kind of a "Refresh". It doesn't do any harm. It's actually good.
That usually happens when the launcher process is put to sleep, allocating more memory to the foreground process.
Hi
Maybe it's just a refresh and it could be even good, but it's kind of bothering..and i don't think it's anything normal..
I was thinking it was 'cause the system gives all the resources to the process i use, and then, when i got back to the home screen, it has to restart it..but...
Anyway, thanks for the asnwer
It is the way it simply is and there is no cure. Maybe you could try making it bulletproof using V6 Supercharger script?
Your interpretation is much closer to the truth, as it is nothing good and is certainly annoying as hell. It would never happen on a phone with decent hardware specs.

So, basically, the cell sucks? I wasn't thinking the desire was that bad...
I can try with that script, but.. i don't wanna mess up things more just to end up with same issue...
It's...stupid...i mean...sometimes it happens in the morning when the alarm rings and when i turn it off..it goes to home screen...and i get the white screen.. What could be wrong after a night in deep sleep?
And..anytime i install or update an app...same thing...
I was thinking to change it anyway...but i can't waste much money..i was thinking about the desire x..now i don't wanna end up with another problem...

Try using a Gingerbread AOSP rom, like MildWild. They don't have that reset thing.
The main reasons i chose the supernova rom was 'cause it was based on the orginal and with the htc sense..
Dunno..i just am sad and disappointed..
Maybe i will try to flash some other rom..
Thanks
