I have build 1.4GHz OC kernel (include 1.2GHz) for docomo's Galaxy tab .
The OC kernel is faster than default kernel. and it is very stable.
Quadrant score is 3018 (with OCLF).Linpack socre is 19.58.

Do you want to set custom voltage values while boot process?
ok, you install busybox to /system/bin/busybox
Boot script uses run-parts command on busybox.

i dont know what u want to be done, but i think that u want a developer to build a kernel with these patches to get a european zImage?
ill try and report!
thank triplex76
i upload zImage.
i trierd ...euro kernel don't run on my Galaxy Tab.
i guess euro kernel doesn't match a roms.
I haven't gone deep looking into the kernel clock table cause thanks to richardtrip he did an awesome job patching an euro one for 1200 mhz and it works without issues on the older roms (JK familiy firmware) that's what I'm using cause till now I've not found the need to update.everything is absolutely smooth and working as it should and I personally think there is no need to fix something that's not broken...till now I saw that the most of custom roms are somewhat bugged...even the stock newer firmware got some issues ...so I will stay with my modded JK5 until something fully tested will come out.
but i got no problem testing newer stuff I can always go back to my own and that's what I did/do if I don't like it.
thanks Landroid
oh,i think....i'm grateful to many hackers.
And i want to repayment of a kindness.
i will be expecting your work !!
is the zImage u posted for EURO tab?
Thanks for the patch, I was waiting for someone to take a deeper look into the frequency tables as I don't have much skill doing it.
I'll work on one for CDMA at the very least.
i usually use this zImage on japan model.
and many geeks use this zImage in japan.
i don't know that run on euro tab.

works fine on euro Galaxy Tab!
GOOD WORK MAN!
oh, Bauxite.
you look like you good.
you gave me a lot of hint.
you said that about voltage control is very important.
it is very truth. but low voltage can run high clocks.
Important fact is that we have to up 'dvs_arm_voltage_set_1DOT2GHZ tables' to very high voltage.

Do you know if this supports EXT4? Great job I am hoping to take advantage of you work. I used Bauxite kernel when I had the sprint tab and it worked great for me.
@Landroid
this kernel is include ext3,ext4.
but,I guess I'll have to edit boot init script?!when i want to mount ext3,ext4 Partitions.
sorry, I'm a android beginner.
i bought galaxy tab Last month.
sweet I will be putting this on when it fully confirmed it will work on a EXT4.
@jkurl
i have finished building a zimage.
it can mount ext4 on boot init.rc script.
Please check!!

[KERNEL][2012/05/19] ALiCE - #2 - With/without Sweep2Wake

Based on franco's kernel v0.3 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1646883
Kernel Configuration options
- Increased kernel log buffer to 2MB
- 2 phase on-demand governor (It seems a little less responsive, but it may increase battery time. It may need more tweaking, I'll look into it)
- sweep 2 wake
- NFS,CIFS support
- Hardware AES support (it may help, it may not)
Source
- Compiler option tweaks
- Added support for hardware AES
- Added sweep2wake from bricked kernel
- Added 2-phase on-demand scheduler from HTC source
Since I don't use git (yet), I've added a diff from franco-v3 to this kernel.
zImage.zip - this kernel
boot.zip - boot.img with this kernel and InsertCoin 6.2.1 ramdisk
patch.zip - patch from franco v3 to this kernel
modules - not yet. You should be able to run this kernel with any modules you have.
Sweep2wake seems to have problems . I provide both versions of the kernel.
Please report any problems.

Hi it s look Nice but how we can use the zip...or how we can install. ??
Only flashing the boot.img ?
Yes, flash boot.img, that's all.
For testing, if you don't want to flash:
adb reboot-bootloader
fastboot boot boot.img (NOT "fastboot flash boot boot.img")
This way, the phone boots with this kernel and it's only active until the next reboot.
Thank s to reply I ll take a look...and for the modules ?if I m on stock I keep it and nothing more ...no module from another kernel?
Yes, you should be ok with the stock modules.
Ah the missing 2phase on-demand driver, looks interesting already. What exactly are those arb_sema files?
arb semaphores, needed for Tegra3's hardware AES encryption.
[off-topic]
Can someone help me publish this to git? A quick howto, to clone franco's repository and create my own git with the patches I've added?
Thanx
[/off-topic]
After a whole day of working without problems, 15 minutes after posting this thread the phone decided to crash. Had to hard-reboot it .
So, I've added a version with sweep2wake disabled.
No more progress?

<DISCONTINUED>[SC-02B][CM-10.1_PATCH]Howto install I9000 CM-10.1 ROM to GS1 NTT Japan

<DISCONTINUED>[SC-02B][CM-10.1_PATCH]Howto install I9000 CM-10.1 ROM to GS1 NTT Japan
WARNING!! For SC-02B Galaxy S1 NTT-Docomo Japan only...
Basically this patch is original work by HiroyukiIkezoe (hiikezoe) on his kernel. I just apply his codes & try to compile it.
Since I don't know how to unpack & repack boot.img on cm-10.1, I use stratosk ramdisk with some modification to suite my needs. I failed to clone & fork it, maybe because too big, so I download it as zip file, make some changes & push it to github with smaller size.
First install from stock rom:
A. Install CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVT-v4.3-CWM3RFS.zip with odin. Read about how to get odin and using it from
SC-02B Root, Latest Firmware, CWM & Compatible ROMs by IparryU
B. Edit build.prop file from root explorer or similar function, change SC-02B to GT-I9000
before:
Code:
ro.product.model=SC-02B
ro.product.name=SC-02B
ro.product.device=SC-02B
ro.product.board=SC-02B
ro.build.product=SC-02B
after
Code:
ro.product.model=GT-I9000
ro.product.name=GT-I9000
ro.product.device=GT-I9000
ro.product.board=GT-I9000
ro.build.product=GT-I9000
C. Get a CM-10.1 rom & install instruction from [NIGHTLY][ROM][4.2.2] CyanogenMod 10.1 for Samsung Galaxy S thread.
D. Download & install LL1 Modem
E. Download & install this 3 files:
1. Kernel: nutest_sc02b-mMdD.zip or stock/mackay/semaphore unofficial ports from Download Link
2. LL1 GPS and RIL binaries
3. JB_BigMem_26-aug-12.zip by kasper_h
F. Reboot and go to Settings > Wireless & Networks > More... > Mobile networks > Network operators & Choose automatically
G. Edit build.prop file from
Code:
ro.telephony.ril_class=SamsungExynos3RIL
to
Code:
ro.telephony.ril_class=RIL
H. Reboot your device.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Update or install any CM-10.1 based rom:
1. Read the rom thread for download info & install guide, like step C. Don't install rom with original partition, since the kernel didn't support it!
2. Repeat E, F, G & H steps.
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Troubleshoot:
For baseband unknown, no network and data not connected try this steps:
- Turn off data.
- Turn on Airplane Mode from setting menu.
- Reboot.
- Wait 1-2 minutes after bootanimation end, then turn off Airplane Mode.
Known Bugs:
1. Airplane Mode on-off toggle often not work.
2. GPS takes too long time before lock with poor accuracy.
3. Charging when phone switched off didn't show the battery indicator correctly. Read this for detail. Fixed in 20130606 release and after.
Unofficial Kernel Ports:
I add various kernel based on i9000 version, read about the feature or change logs on it's original thread but don't report any bugs (except you can prove it happened in original version)!!!
>> Stock cm-10.1 kernel
file: cm-10.1-sc02b-kernel-yyyymmdd.zip
Finally (May 2013) I found proper way to unpack stock kernel using this kernel-repack and repack again using a part of script from here
It's not real stock, but I think close enough to the origin. You may need revert the bigmem patch by install this if you have problem with video capture/playback function.

I was wondering if there was a way to get ram like kyapa's kernel but have a deeper look in the ram with an app called memory info and swapcheck I realized...
t10mod3
total ram-504mb
swap total-160mb
didhiy's kernel
total ram-408mb
swap total-0mb
since swap memory is available if we get space on sd card I think didhiy's kernel got more ram than t10mod3, am I right!?
u can check it by your self with this app!
thanks for the good work and updates in this kernel didhiy!

Superuser.apkはマーケットよりダウンロードしてください。
Superuserをインストールしたあとbusyboxなども入れるなら入れてください。
その後再起動で、zram反映されます。
その他は試行錯誤してみてください。

the last url is the source!
that's the one I knew I've a build for LC4 stock with that source, but never check the ram size.
maybe something similar on devil kernel which use all camera memory to reach bigger ram
I've plan to build semaphore, mackay & devil kernel for sc-02b...
semaphore already done & works, will post it later

How to configure cpuquiet
You can configure cpuquiet to the pefect use with your phone. You need root permissions and any shell, i. e. Terminal Emulator.
First run 'su' to get root permissions.
Change the minimum and maximum amount of online cpu cores:
Code:
file for max. amount of online cpus: /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuquiet/cpuquiet_driver/max_cpus
file for min. amount of online cpus: /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuquiet/cpuquiet_driver/min_cpus
Example:
echo 3 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuquiet/cpuquiet_driver/max_cpus
echo 2 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuquiet/cpuquiet_driver/min_cpus
The cpuquiet driver supports different governors, a bit like cpufreq governors. The governors which are currently present are: "runnable", "rq_stats", "load_stats", "balanced"
Find the best one for you by yourself
Code:
sysfs file: /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuquiet/current_governor
Example: echo balanced > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuquiet/current_governor
Change the max screen-off cpu frequency and online cpus:
Code:
sysfs file for max. screen-off-freq: /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuquiet/cpuquiet_driver/screen_off_cap
syfs file for max. screen-off online cpus: /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuquiet/cpuquiet_driver/screen_off_max_cpus
Example:
echo 960000 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuquiet/cpuquiet_driver/screen_off_cap
echo 1 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuquiet/cpuquiet_driver/screen_off_max_cpus
Disable cpuquiet(and enable mpdecision):
Code:
sysfs file: /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuquiet/cpuquiet_driver/enabled
Example:
echo 0 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuquiet/cpuquiet_driver/enabled
start mpdecision #enable mpdecision
These settings only stick until you reboot. So better setup an init.d script, which applies your settings every boot.
If you aren't sure, what init.d scripts are, ask google.

AOSP-based roms
The kernel for asop-based roms gets flashed using a special .zip, which only flashes zImage and dt. That means, there are no ramdisk-problems, which you didn't got before. The scripts inside the script are also modifying the ramdisk to don't have mpdecision enabled by default.
Installation
1. Flash the zip file through a recovery

Yes
Whaa!! for CM based ROMs and Sony based ROMs!! that would be interesting,
also I like the idea of not having a ramdisk inside the zip, I'll probably use it for next releases of Pimped kernel,
And did you strip the kernel modules before putting them inside the zip??
the wlan.ko module is 43.5MB!! the kernel's zip is around 35MB!!!! that is alot.
BTW, great work, thanks for contributing again and again for our beloved device,
hope you the best:angel:

I am sorry but it may not work on sony roms, you can try if you want. I didn't test it.
I did not even know that kernel modules can be stripped

Well yeah that is the problem, I'm kinda sure that you can't use the same kernel for Sony and AOSP based ROMs in the same time!!
so you should mention in OP or in title that this kernel is for AOSP based ROMs so that users don't get confused...
Also if you haven't searched and found out about the stripping, you can do it by executing this:
<dir-to-toolchain>/bin/arm-eabi-strip --strip-unneeded <dir-to-modules-folder>/*
of course the arm-eabi-strip part depends on what toolchain you're using.
Hopefully that would help.
Works on unofficial slimkat
Sent from my Xperia Z1 Compact using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
It also works great with this : http://download.mokeedev.com/?device=amami
ps: Always love to use the FauxSound Audio/Sound Control and FauxClock apps
Thank You !!!!
:good:
Version 0.1.2:
- update f2fs to current upstream
- replace Cyanogenmod branding with mine
- strip kernel modules, you don't need to download 30mb+ anymore
If you want to use f2fs, I really suggest you to install this, the fixed bugs are really important. Else it is almost unneccessary
@CoolDevelopment
Very nice job! Finally we get a dedicated custom kernel for Amami
Oh and I saw the commits on CM gerrit. Nice job man :good:
I'll try flashing this on PAC. If what you say is true, that it doesn't modify the ramdisk, then it should boot. Otherwise I'll get stuck in a bootloop because PAC has custom jar files.
Finally some exciting development on Amami, testing now
EDIT: just a tip, you should ask a mod to move this thread to original development, because it really belongs there
EDIT2: it works perfectly
Yes it doesnt work on pa aslo :/

@cooldevekopment Is it possible to include TWRP instead of CWM in your kernel. I know there is a patch for f2fs that has TWRP buid-in, but anyway.

this kernel has no ramdisk, meaning it doesn't contain nether CWM nor TWRP,
whatever recovery you'll flash the kernel through, it won't be replaced with any other recovery

Does this mean I can flash it even on a rooted stockrom?? 4.4.4 108 for example

Nope, because it is based on AOSP kernel source, which won't work on Sony based ROMs,
this kernel will only work on AOSP-based (CM-based) ROM..
To bad haha thanks for the quick reply

[Z00ED/Z00RD][KERNEL] Better Battery Backup

UPDATE: I really no longer have the time to update the custom kernels, I now work 16 hours days, 5-6 days weekly. With travelling time added, I barely have time to sleep.
Battery optimization is about choosing the right rom, tuning cpu governor interactive, disabling Google Play Services (use microG & tune GCM), forcing doze immediately, disabling ads, using black/white screen, app optimization (disable analytics, instant messaging), plus many other things.
Identify the rom, the base (aosp or lineage), can choose to use any of the kernels below if it is based on the same base. A backup of your original rom's kernel is in the rom.zip file, simply extract it and restore if encounter any problems.
I have created a guide here
(Please don't quote the original 1st post when replying, as everything is in progress, not written yet,
Please don't ask for ETAs, I'm only doing this in my limited spare time, thank you)
My kernels are NOT flash-and-forget, please READ through post #1, then CONFIGURE using Kernel Adiutor Mod (see post #2)
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER
I bear no responsibility towards any malfunction of your device. Use my kernels at your own risk.
I do NOT own any of the devices below, so I could not flash/test any of the kernels
BACKUP YOUR PARTITIONS!!!
Before attempting to flash any kernel/rom, backup your critical partitions! It's meaningless to ask for help when disaster strikes. Follow the links below, root is required.
Partition Dump - Complete STEP 1
Partition Backup by wanam (save as both .img & tar.gz, plus the 1st 100MB - see 'spanner tool')
There's no need to backup the System or Data partition if you just want to backup the partitions only. But backup your SDCard if the rom got problems with it.
