Lol.. Sorry for my very stupid question..
Hey XDA members.
Can anyone explain how I flash the Recovery using fastboot???
That is what is instructed to get it in.
Here is the link:
http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager
It has all the recoveries made by koush.
Touch & Button version.
Code:
Fastboot flash recovery name-of-recovery.img
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Install fastboot/fastboot drivers, then.
Download the recovery file you want and put it in the fastboot folder.
1. turn phone off
2. press and hold both volume up and down button then press and hold power, this will take the phone to bootloader
3. type: fastboot flash recovery recoveryfilenamehere.img
4. press the volume up or down button to select RECOVERY MODE, press power to select, and there you go, you're in cwm.

Obviously you don't know what you're doing, I suggest not screwing with your phone, we don't want another thread asking how to fix another person's phone cuz they "bricked" it.

Just asking. Sorry if this somehow offends anyone.

You probably shouldn't be flashing recoveries if you don't know what you're doing. Learn by reading. The method for flashing recoveries hasn't changed since the Nexus One came out 2.5 years ago.

I did not make this, just passing it along. Link is to a flashable zip for 6.000alpha; it worked for me coming from previous version. Much easier then fastboot... Just move to root of your SD card and flash, no wipe necessary.

I used Wug's Toolkit to root.
It was sooo freaking easy with that thing.
All I did was follow instructions. Yes I had to used fastboot for some things but I just followed instructions.

I'd suggest searching your Android development section. That's where I found that .zip

if you cant type fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.0.2-toro.img there is no hope for you.
Is it possible to have a command in power menu to have reboot in CWM without flashing any roms? I sort of like the stock rom, it hasnt pushed me to install anything else for now but i am in need of a reboot to cwm, is it doable?
Are you talking about a 4 way reboot menu?

Code:
su
reboot recovery

I use ROM Manager only for this, reboot in recovery

I don't know if you already knew this but your phone has safe mode.
When you boot in safe mode only the Android system is loaded. So if you have a problem with a certain app it is much easier to uninstall it that way.
Just hold both volume keys during boot.
If you are in Safe Mode your phone will show it on screen.
edit :
You can also long press the reboot option

Holding both volume keys would boot into Ramdump Mode, isn't it?

You might have to do a factory reset in recovery mode. Thats normally the easiest way to get past softbricks.

- pull battery
- then hold home, volume up, and power and release when ever the blue text on top right flashes.
You flashed a TW kernel and not an AOSP one. That's why you got a bootloop
