Hebrew HTC Sense Keyboard - HTC One X

Hello all
This is my first post here.
I bought a new HTC One X from amazon.co.uk and installed Revolution HD 9.2.0
I was happy to see that it has so many languages, but it lacks Hebrew.
I don't mind that, I hate Hebrew OS anyway.
But, even after the Revolution HD installation, I couldn't find the HTC Sense keyboard with Hebrew layout in it.
I had to download Swype keyboard, which is pretty nice, but I would prefer the real deal.
Is there any stock/kernel/something that will give the HTC Sense keyboard a Hebrew layout, or should I buy the phone in Israel itself?
Thanks to all the readers and helpers,
Liron

Sorry, does not exist.
Even in original "Touch-Group" ROMS (or custom ARHD) with a full Hebrew interface the Sense keyboard doesn't have Hebrew.
It is a huge bummer for Israeli users, but given how there's so few of us, I doubt HTC give an eff.

It doesn't have to do with numbers, otherwise there would an Arabic layout, which there isn't...

Maybe it's geographical. There are some obscure as hell languages there.

HTC could serve customers better

Htc makes only one European ROM at the time. There is four main languages for ex. English, Spanish, French...
In Europe are many other languages. If Htc does not want to make ROM for those languages, it could make T9 dictonary and Windows Virtual Keyboard in any case.
Many people understand English so well, that they do not need entire ROM translated into their language, but they need keyboard and T9 dictonary for writing their mother language.
Now Internet are full of different instruction, how to put T9 in action. Many of those are for the phones, which does not fit to Htc Touch HD.
I hope, that Htc could make language packs for different languages in Europe and serve the customers in this way better.

There are at least 15 languages available for your T9.
HTC serves you pretty well, don't you think?

On www.htc.com/support is only one ROM, and that is WWE. I can not see any other. I found on xda-developers -site one Finnish ROM and downloaded it. There were no Finnish word. Finnish was one of the languages, but I could not see any work with it.
Where are the 15 ROMs?
I had Samsung Omnia for a short time ago, and when Samsung had made Finnish ROM, it was really Finnish. Windows mobile had translated into Finnish. Windows Virtual Keyboard was with ä, å and ö and T9 worked well.
I have had many HTC - phones. Now I have three: Artemis, Iolite and HD.
I am looking forward to have T9 Finnish and Windows Virtual Keyboard with ä, å and ö.
I didn't say there were 15 ROM's availabe, but there are at least that many languages for the T9.
Look for '14 language T9 cab' and you will find an installer to enable extra languages for your T9.

Who has made it? Perhaps not Htc? I have tested that file, but T9 dictionary did not work. T9 remembers only the word, what I have written.

HTC did not make the cab-file, that is true.
But the dictionaries used by T9 are made by Microsoft or HTC.
I had to test several cab-files to before I got Dutch to work.
You'll have to try some more cab-files or search the forum some more.
Good luck.
in "defense" to matti i must say that (dont ask me how, maybe another row of keys?) imho some language-specific characters (eg ä ö for finns/swedes, è à ò ù etc for us italians) should be included in a specific keyboard layout. i dont use t9 as i find more a time waster than anything, but reaching the special characters by longpressing a key waiting x secs sliding to the desired one is just another time waster.

You should install FingerKeyboard then.
It allows you to set the delay before the special characters appears, it supports any layout you want, user-specified text (like smileys and so), ...

Installing 3 languages

I'm interested in purchasing this phone and would like to know if it is possible to add Hebrew and Russian languages to an English ROM. Is having 3 languages going to be a problem with typing through the qwerty keyboard?
keep in mind that Hebrew is right to left language (if it makes any difference :/ )
I used to own an HTC VOX and remember having a bit trouble with it. but then again, it was older OS.
Thanks in advance

Any keyboard mod for japanese characters?

Hi!!
I got gifted a sim free HTC desire from UK and got it working with softbank. The problem is that I can't use the japanese websites like norikae because I need to input the japanese charaters. Is there any keyboard for japanese available for HTC desire?
Yes, try Simeji or OpenWnn plus. Both are free and available in the market.
Currently on vacation in Japan, I tried a Japanese Desire at Bic Camera and it comes with a keyboard similar to OpenWnn for Japanese input.

If you are rooted:
I got the Softbank IME from the latest Android 2.2 update. You can find it on my website.
Not much difference to the old version.

@BeeGee_Tokyo, thanks for sharing!
Is it possible to just install the .apk file from the archive though?
Unfortunately the apk alone is not enough. There are several lib files that are needed on addition.
But you can try OpenWnn plus from the market. Almost the same.
Sent from my Desire boosted by Oxygen ROM and ZEAM launcher.

Adding keyboard languages to HTC Desire

I have recently bought an unbranded HTC Desire and after going through three such devices I am extremely frustrated by both the mentality of HTC and their short-sightness.
My issues stem from the fact that every HTC Desire in the UK seems to be region-locked, something that has been admitted by the HTC support people. As a result the 'locale' function seems to recognise at best only 2-3 countries in the world with all the delights that entails such as time, date, radio and more importantly keyboard not being able to switch between different languages even though the handset clearly suppports all european languages.
This simple functionality, available in almost every other handset I checked out (blackberries, nokias, Sony-Erickson, Nexus, etc.) seems to leave HTC unfazed for a product promoted as a flagship model.
I am new to android and following a friend's suggestion before giving up completely, I am posting here with the hope of being pointed in the right direction.
The phone currently only supports French, English, Italian and Spanish. I want to add German and Greek and I do not care about having auto-correction or a dictionary for these languages. I would be content if I could just use the default keyboard and type (I do not care about locale either, english is fine).
There is a MoreLocale app on the Market that might help.

so my mom just got the htc one v
and we are from israel which means we use hebrew,
though the phone that comes with the ICS doesnt have hebrew support
