Moving to I wireless galaxy nexus - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

My Verizon bill was 700 dollars and I'm not gonna deal with that so I'm moving to I wireless . How's the 4g on it? Does the phone itself have problems ? And can u guys give me a link on how to root it ? Thx

I just bought an gnex today that was from I wireless. I'm using it on T-Mobile prepaid and it works great. Just download the gnex toolkit and follow the instructions for the gsm gnex and you'll be all good

I have the toolkit already from Verizon galaxy nexus . Will that one work with GSM version?

Yes, there is: use the phone in the early morning or late at night.

When did you start your contract and if you keep pushing it you can but is a lot calls for it to get you out free in the other hand the price of the GN should be enough to get out of ETF( that's what I did)

i just renewed last month. dam so sell the phone for 300 and that should pay the eft fee.
As has been posted here and all over the web several thousand times, Sprint's 3G data speeds are terrible pretty much nationwide. They have a few markets that are ok, but many aren't

Well you could get closed to 400$ but I would try to see if sprints lets you go without fee

Yeah dude ur in Miami and ppl here hate sprint since its slow as fuuuuh
- Google
flash a Verizon prl on your phone and consume alot of data and sprint will boot you after a month or two of alot of roaming etf free. Its what I am doing.

Yeah that sounds good too

I would do that as well. But I have three phones on one account and that means buying all new phones and 2gnexs and an epic 4g won't pay for new phones and contracts. Unfortunately I'll have to deal with it. Until LTE hits me. At least I hope it does.

when you sell your sprint phones when they cancel your service it will more than cover your new phones. You would actually come out ahead a little.

Yeah I think I'm going the straight talk route.

AT&T GoPhone is one of the worst choices for prepaid smartphones.
Unlocked gsm nexus might wait until thanksgiving for the new 5 nexus devices
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
this is precisely why i'm leaving Sprint and going to T-Mobile. the 4G Wimax is fast (5000kbps) but none of the newer Sprint phones are using Wimax anymore and Sprint's 3G is crawling at <500kbps. Can't wait to activate my nexus on T-Mobile when my SIM comes in!

The only problem I had with it was on the unlimited everything plan for $50, they booted me when they found out I wasn't using a dumb phone but that was after trying to download a ROM haha. Switching to another European phone put data right back on.

Good idea to sell Galaxy S 2 and get GNexus?

So the Nexus was dropped to 350. T-Mobile Galaxy S II's go for about $350 on eBay. Is it a good idea to replace my T989 for a Nexus and then load JB on it? Thanks in advance!
And how is your Nexus treating you. Do you guys like it?

ABSOLUTELY!

The Nexus is about the same spec as the S2 so don't expect TOO much from it. Saying that I do love my Galaxy Nexus. If you love flashing and having the latest Android version then you'll love it.

Should i leave vzw for the nexus4

I love my galaxy nexus. So much in fact i bought an s3 and after a couple of months went back to my nexus.
Is it worth the upgrade/leaving verizon?
Would you do it?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
The nexus 4 isn't really an upgrade. If you play with one u will see that there really isn't a difference between them. I wouldn't leave vzw for that phone. If I where u I would wait to see what's coming out in the next few months.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
You pretty much answered yourself.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Yes. Then order a SIM card from Straight Talk and pay $45 a month for unlimited everything. Including HSPA+.
