Help rooted now Sprint Nexus will not boot - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I rooted my phone and unlocked following an online guide. I installed ClockWorkMod 5.8.3.1 and all. I was trying to installed Perfect Android. Now when I boot I get a x with blue red yellow and green, the color hights going in a circle different places on the x but the phone never boots. Ideas?

More info please? What ROM specifically did you flash.. please link. Did you follow proper flashing procedure.
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe cache Partition
Go into mounts and storage and Format /System
Go into advanced and Wipe Dalvik Cache
Then Flash ROM and Gapps
Then reboot.
It does take a pretty good amount of time before it boots like 4-5 minutes 5 max if its any longer its stuck in a "bootloop"

First time stuck in boot loop. I installed the updated clockworksmod and worked fine now. Weird. Not sure what happen the first time, I had to recover from original backup and reinstall JB. This is Perfect Android 4.1.1
How do I get Google wallet to work tells me unsupported device now?

NO

Yea even if something looks time consuming or difficult, don't give up. Just go ahead and research to learn it. Believe me you will learn a lot. And always be sure to do a backup!

Got it back to stock using Odin, the OEM recovery doesn't work, I get a red exclamation point above the Android. How do I fix the OEM recovery?

Fastboot flash all the stock images, including the stock recovery. In this thread you can find the Odin files but also the IMG files to Fastboot flash;

You can't. It doesn't affect anything and it still works perfectly. That is a warning because your phone is rooted, and it's a disclaimer in case there is fraud on the account the money market is not responsible. Don't worry about it

Have you changed anything about your stock software? Added/removed system apps, rooted, changed fonts, recovery, etc..?

Well there you go. You can't have anything changed in the system if you plan on accepting the OTA update.
If you want to accept the OTA, you need to flash back to the stock images (everything back to 100% stock except bootloader unlock is OK) and wait for the OTA notification again.

Or check now on update section (settings /system) but I would recommended stay rooted that only bad thing about rooting is the a lot rooms don't have prl update and is annoying to flash a stock from just to do that

Yes. Returning to stock you'll have to completely wipe the device. How else would you get rid of all the **** you changed?
I'm just asking cause before with my evo 4g I could've restored and my memory card wouldn't get erased and if I restore my nexus it does so its different.

If you do a factory reset with CWM or something it doesn't wipe the virtual SDcard.
The reason why it wipes when you flash to stock is you only have 1 partition internal storage that must be wiped when you install the OS...

(Q) error when flashing rom =(

hi there
rooted my Maguro Yakjuux nexus the other day but cant get any custom roms to load!
i enter recovery mode and "install from zip" any custom rom ive downloaded thru rom manager pro, and it says theres an error and that only the developer can boot CM roms? or something like that =(
any tips suggestions?
btw dont use a pc...i use a mac
thanks in advance!
Have you unlocked the bootloader, and flashed ClockworkMod Recovery (or TWRP)?
If so, download the rom from here on XDA instead of through ROM Manager.
Also, what specifically does the error say?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Ya I did unlock the bootloader. I actually did transfer and try files downloaded from the Site to my phone and tried it that way as well but to no avail. =(

Is there anyway to double check that my phones bootloader has been unlocked?

Samsung All share cast dongle not working after JB update

I have not tried to use it on an not rooted version of JB. Just wondering if anyone can chime in and share their experience. I know that since the update the flash counter will go up to 1 everytime you reboot your phone, triangle away says it reset the flash counter but next boot it is increased again. Would that be the reason I cannot use the All share cat dongle? It worked fine on ICS rooted but not on JB. EDIT:
The is a thread in general about three flash counter with Doc Holiday and chainfire trying to figure this out. I think it's best if we post there.

Had to reset the dongle after updating to JB(stock root) then all worked fine. Before resetting, TV hung at connecting screen even tho phone said connected.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
I tried resetting it several times but it still doesn't connect. I tried to but then says all share cast is closing to connection... I tried with stock recovery because I thought that maybe because the flash counter keeps resetting itself, thought CWM was resetting the counter but even with the stock recovery it doesn't work. Samsung really sucks with what they did with this update... there is no way to keep the flash counter at zero....

I updated with wildchild's Odin firmware then flashed his stock de-odexed rom with twrp. Used triangle away one time and reset the dongle and everthing is working as it should.

Not working for me. What ROM are you on? Custom recovery or stock? Stock kernel or custom?
In the general forum is a thread about the flash counter and doc holiday and chain fire are trying to figure out what the cause is.
Here is the link.. Probably better if this gets discussed in in one central thread...

whats a good way out of this?
Clean install. May need to flash binaries if trying to use 4.2.2 kernel.

Thanks man! I actually found a very primitive way of doing it and my phone is working and looks absolutely gorgeous (but don't tell my girl I said that). I basically forced the gapps.zip file into my downloads from my computer into my phone and it fixed the issue. No harm no foul. Thanks y'all:good: !

Is it just me or has goo been down since forever?

Hey people
So I tried downloading twrp from the goo app and when it finished the 10 seconds it just kept on saying download is starting. Never really started.
So I was just wondering if it's not working correctly for everybody or if it's just me.

I've been using Nexus Root Toolkit to get my recovery files. Not sure where they get downloaded from, but it always knows the latest and gets it no problem. Even tells me when my phone has an old version.

Are you using the GooManager app? I experienced that problem before. Now I can download it on PC. You can download on PC and flash it with fastboot.
Happens to me too sometime with random downloads
The best option its flash recovery with toolkit
