Looking for JellyBean ROM - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Galaxy Nexus Owners,
I've been on ICS AOKP because I love the fully customizable navigation bar. I haven't found this feature on any JellyBean ROMs yet, but I also haven't tried many of them. Does anybody know of a stable JB ROM that has a fully customizable nav bar (allows for custom buttons/applications)? Thanks for your recommendations...

Find aokp nightlies on rootzwiki. I'm on build 9 and it has nearly all the old mods.

Try paraniodandroid. Its cm10 based, so you get your jellybean and customizable Nav bar.

I'd just wait until theirs a stable jb AOKP

Codename Android. I'm using it right now. You can fully customize the navbar.

Stable version of AOKP will come out soon and you shouldn't waste your time wiping and flashing multiple times
But if you want JB ROM right now, AOKP nightly brings almost everything that was in AOKP ICS

Codename. It has a nice balance of battery life and performance. Plus, it's one of the most stable I've tested thus far.

Thanks all, I will wait for a stable AOKP.

I'm using xenonhd on my nexus. They have the quick toggles and just added a brightness slider to the notification bar.

I was very impressed with Friday's AOKP nightly. I had tried it a few times before and found it was slow, glitch and nowhere as stable as other AOSP ROMS I had run. Boy did they turn things around. I will switch back when the release candidate is dropped. I really enjoyed all the customization. Right now I am on CM10 official.

The latest CNA rom is working perfectly for me. You may want to give it a try.

+1 for Codename. I'm really liking it a lot.

Cna or Aokp nightlies. You're missing out if you're still rocking ics. Flash one of the two and you will happy. If you want a cm10 go for the skank jellybro. They're all rock solid right now and its worth flashing for the performance improvement alone

I agree with him missing out on the experience and performance, and also agree on flashing code name if he wants to, but I believe he's used to AOKP stable, therefore, it's best for him to just wait until stable version releases, which won't be long
Swyped on my Galaxy Nexus running AOKP nightly with Franco Kernel, overclocked to 1.4GHz

I'm on the cm10 skank jellybro nightly which has customisable nav bar, but I don't think to the same extent as aokp.

baked

I'm using the black bean ROM which is based on aokp nightlies.
it's been quite stable and has nav bar customization and theme engine.
based on the number of roms in this thread already I'd say most aosp based roms should have this functionality.
sent from outer space, probably

codename rom. stable.. and so customizable. With a great kernel this thing is beat on battery.

CyanogenMod or die.

I would recommend AOKP! They just released the first official JB version!

So many to choose from!

Just got my Nexus (GSM) and there are so many ROMS to choose from!! Anyone have any favorites that I can try? I came from HTC Desire using Richard Trip's Villain ROM.
AOKP is the one with most tweaks, tho many say its kinda laggy, im using it and no lag for me
I've tried them all so far and my 2 favorite are ARHD and AOKP.
Try with these 2 first, aokp for 4.0.3 and arhd for 4.0.2.

He seems to update that ROM every week! I will grab build 28 - that one seems to be the latest. What is the difference between Milestone 4 and a build?
I couldn't stand AOKP! too much customization! hahaha. I'm on codename android
I would have to go with official AOKP all the way! I've got it on both my phones

I didn't like AOKP. Ran slow and ate my battery.
Gummy worked awesome regarding battery life. But Axi0m Hybrid is super fast.
Axi0m is a mix of AOKP and 4.0.4

Bugless Beast is the best IMO if you aren't looking for a bunch of mods. Its rock solid stable, has toggles in the status bar and gives great battery life. Run it with trinity kernel though, best experience I've had so far.

It says nightly, but he releases new builds every week or more, but no need to always upgrade, I just flashed the March 16th build and I don't see any reason to upgrade unless he adds some crazy new features, because it's really great right now.
All roms are updated nearly every week or 2, you don't have to upgrade though, if you want a ROM that has no development then go with one of those roms that hasn't been updated for a month or 2.

Is there a stable JB rom?

Have not found one yet still using aokp milestone 6.
stock is the most stable.. you can also try android revolution hd based on stock or xenon..both r excellent roms
BAMF Paradigm v2.0 is very stable, and everything works.

I think PA 1.9.1 is pretty stable.
Haven't tested out 1.9.3 yet.

AndroidME is very stable. Been using it as a daily for the last few weeks. Running without any hiccups. It's basically stock with some modifications and theming options. Highly recommend it!
TBH, all roms for the galaxy nexus are stable its not like any other device where some hardware wont work. best advice is to try out some of the Roms and decide which is best and more stable for your own type of usage.
Haven't had a single problem with either EOS or CM10 Euroskank kangs.

Ya its hard to imagine an aosp based rom not being stable on a nexus device, its not like we're trying to run experimental sense/touchwiz roms here.
I've been using Thunderstick and loved it. But I just switched to AndroidME CM10 and it's great. I heard AndroidME was very fast and stable, but I like the CM version better.

What ROM are you currently using?

With so many ROM's available, I'm curious as to which one is getting the most love.
I haven't listed all ROM's. I've gone through Development forum and the Galaxy Nexus Index and picked what I think might be the most appropriate based on replies/posts in the individual ROM's thread as well as when the ROM was last updated.
If you could also post below why you are using the ROM you voted for that would be great.
If you are using a ROM not listed in the poll, please mention it below also.
AOKP
Not only it is super fast and smooth with Franco Kernel, but also it has tons and tons of customization in this ROM that I love. Also the look on my friends face when I show them my unicorn and swagger toggle is priceless
Swyped on my Galaxy Nexus running AOKP with Franco Kernel
I am loving AffinitySeries from Android Developer Alliance. It hasn't been updated for almost 2 months but it doesn't need one. I have been running it for a month and a half and have never had an issue. It is solid, fast and has just enough customizations. I am running it with Franco's kernel and Dustin's Cobalt theme and haven't found a combination yet that tops it.
As if having a great ROM wasn't enough, ADA is also a very pleasant and professional group. The devs are active in their threads and will answer questions promptly and without condescension.
Allons-y
Xenon HD
Give it a try it is super stable and has also a ton of customizations! Updates are on a weekly basis or faster if there is a severe bug!

100% codename... but PA is way to cool too...
I just keep changin between these two.
Codename Android. So good rom that I haven't even bothered trying any others. Have used Trinity kernel with it but now testing lean.
MIUI
Lots of options, but mainly because its just different. Both my gf and a close friend have the gnex so it seems like I'm surrounded by aosp devices.

Hands down Paranoidandroid. With every update comes brand new features, not to mention smoothness and speed improvements. After using this rom initially back on my Droid Incredible 2 I immediately rooted and flashed this on day 1 of owning my Gnex, there is no way I can go back to using anything else, this rom has more customizations and options than anything I have ever used in the 3 1/2 yrs I've been using android.
To top that off PA is typically updated once and sometimes twice in a week, besides CM10 nighties I can't think of a rom that gets that much attention and brings brand new options with every update! The fact that Maguro, Toro and Toroplus are all overseen is the other thing that makes it so amazing, most developers build roms for maguro and us over in toro and toroplus land have to wait quite awhile to get our port if it ever happens.
Bottomline, this rom is AMAZING!
Rasbean and lean because well its just so smooth

Loving Sourcery! I would actually run rasbean if I could change the navbar like you can with aokp/cna/Sourcery. I have to have a power button on my navbar, mainly because of worries about wearing out the physical power button.

Brassdroid
I'm running brassdroid with the Franco kernel
So far I love it lots of options and super fast I have it overclocked to 1.8
With no problems very stable and smooth I have also removed the
Soft keys and I'm running lmt in place gives me the full 4.65" screen
What ROM? Asteroids on Atari.

[Poll] [Toro] What ROM are you running as your daily driver?

Like the title says, this isn't about what's "best". It's just to try to get an idea of metrics. As far as I know there's no one tracking how popular any given ROM is, and this won't go a long way to help, but I'm curious.
Please don't check "Yes this is a question" for polls in General. Qs go in Q&A. Edited title.
Thanks

Huh, I'm really surprised there aren't more CyanogenMod users coming through.

From what I've seen CM is more widely used on manufacture skinned devices. Nexus users don't need CM as much as rest of the android world.

I'm running EOS4 nightlies, and EOS3 nightlies before that with very few problems. Check it out, it's a pretty sweet ROM.

I'm using pure AOSP with Trinity Kernel. I can say It's awesome.
It seems like all of the 4.2.1 ROMs are still experiencing issues. Is that even true of vanilla AOSP?
right now liquidsmooth with air kernel, but that's bound to change as i can't leave my phone the way it is anymore.
Sorcery for me excellent amount of customization and battery life is great running the stock kernel packaged with the rom I could go on how awesome this rom is.

AOKP Users

I am a long time CM user. I used AOKP briefly a while back but switched back to CM. I recently (yesterday) gave AOKP another shot. I like the small customizations not found in CM, but I would really like to know what are some features found in AOKP that you frrlntou cannot live without? I'm looking for something I may have missed in my evaluation as well as opinions from other users on features they like the most from that ROM.

In my experience CM is more stable than AOKP. But AOKP has more mods that I like, small things like a centered clock and the ability to change navbar. Navbar customization is very limited in CM. Also I stopped using kernels other than what is packaged with the ROMs, and I haven't had any random reboots.

well, I'm using AOKP, and before used CM. I liked more AOKP cause your customizations. but about stability, for me both is the same. but I chosen AOKP cause my Gnexus had a problem that usb in not charging, I had hoped that the problem were the software and after install some ROMs, AOKP was unique that make my usb work good
