Restored Apps looking in wrong directories - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

They are looking into my internal sd card (ie Go contacts looking for my vcard) instead of my external sd card where it is located. Is there a way to fix where my apps look for their files? Coming from my bravo, which has little internal memory most of my apps and all my heavy data (music) was on my external sd card?

Internal/External SD Cards

Just got my GS2 today and I must say this is the easiest phone I have rooted to date! I have been working my way around the OS and found that apps are not seeing my files on my External SD Card. Is there a way to sort of sync these? I guess I dont mean sync, but have apps search both internal and external storage for files? Take beautiful widgets, I have a ton of images on the ex sd card. When I launch the app to apply one of those images it looks in phone storage and gives no option to search the ex sd card.
Thanks

easiest thing would to move everything to the internal sd card. i dont like how the phone sees SD card (internal) then from there i have to navigate to the folder called 'external sd' to look at my microSD files.

Exactly, but what good is it to have an external card if the apps dont use it? If I have to move everything to the internal card, what can I put on the external card and be able to use/access? None of my apps recognize the external card, lol.
i use my external sdcard for music & movie business and use the internal for everything else. i sync back & forth between pc & cell a lot so having a CLEAN (aka, none of those extra android folders) sdcard makes browsing and syncing much easier, cleaner, and organized. also, without that android bloat i can tell exactly how much goodies i have just by looking at the size of external sdcard
ps: external sdcard is more or less just a subdir on the internal sdcard.... its /sdcard/external_sd if i remember correctly.
i just slap my movie files onto thte internal sd since i delete them afterwards... didnt realize 16 gb is a lot of space lol
I removed some movies from the internal memory but when i go to storage, the available free space is the same as when the movies where there. I held the movie file down and selected delete when the pop up menu came up.
Any suggestions to clear the inetrnal memory or do i need to format the usb storage which will delete everything from internal memory?
Thanks,

[Q] Cannot move application to sd card

Hello there..
I bought SDHC transcent class 10 16 GB..
my problem is I cant move application from internal storage to sd card..
but when I put musics and video clips to external sd card, I can play it...
anyone can help me??
There's nothing wrong with your card or tablet. Honeycomb utilizes the external SD card differently than previous versions of Android, in that the card is mounted as mnt/external_sd and the "built-in" internal memory is displayed as sdcard. Because of this, apps like App2SD won't work. I'd suggest two options:
First is to try crossix's memory swap mod, which switches the storage names so your microSD card becomes "sdcard".

You can also use the app GL to SD. It moves the large data files from games (like those from Gameloft) to the external card to free up internal memory.

Not enough space on SD card error.

I downloaded Talking Santa for the kids but it won't let me play it. A screen keeps popping up that there is not enough space on my SC card but I have 50 gigs of free space. My knowledge is very limited but I unmounted and mounted again and that didn't do anything. I'm also getting this error when I try to move an app to my SD card using app 2 sd.
The app seems to have extra files it needs to download when you open it. It looks like it is trying to put those files on the internal storage. Try deleting some files off your internal SD not external.
This phone does a stupid thing where the internal memory is split into two partitions: Internal and SD card. Apks go to internal and data to SD card. But SD card is really just another subsection of your internal memory! Nothing actually goes to your external removable SD card when you move apps to the "SD card". This is a problem that I know no solution to. Any help?
Haven't had an issue with apps not going to SD. I have noticed that it does leave the empty folder behind on my internal SD.

Migrate everything to SD card

Is it possible to start saving everything to the SD card rather than the internal memory? For example, I want to use the downloads folder on my SD card rather than the internal memory, and I want to have app links that go directly to the SD card rather than the internal memory. I basically just want to use the SD card for storing everything and not have anything on the internal memory.
Is there a way to do that?
Thanks
I even need to know any such way out

Enhance internal storage with SD card

Is there any chance that I can upgrade the internal storage with SD card by e.g. mouting it in a specific way?
My internal space is full and it askes me always deleting apps, but moving apps with FireTV or AppMgr to SD is not always an option.
Thank you for your hints or ideas!
If you use Kodi (which can be very big & hog loads of your internal data) use this to move it to a external sd card or USB stick - http://www.aftvnews.com/how-to-partially-or-entirely-move-kodi-data-to-external-usb-storage/
