It seems that the store isn't updated.
Build version 4.8.20, and when pressing on it it says "Google Play Store is up to date".
What can I do?

is 440 the latest version? i flashed the apk and i lost the "ok google from any screen" feature. it's a minor detail, but i'm curious why that happened? do you happen to know where i can get the old apk?
this is the option screen now. there used to be an option to enable that feature from any screen
i found where to download the APKs. i updated to the latest Google Play Services version (470) and the OK Google ok any screen feature is still absent. not sure why they removed it. guess it may be using up too much battery?

do you know if there's a way to get the new anims in 5.5.8 to work without changing the sdk version from 21 to 22? Or are you doing without em?
i know version 22 is meant for 5.1 but i want the new anims, and as soon as i changed it to 22 play store started giving me errors, (obviously)

Is this "stock" G-Services? I mean, are they secure to get? As I find it weird my phone don't update manually if there is a new version available + it now ask for permission to route phone calls.
Updated.
Updated with latest Play Store and G-Play Services!
Updated!
edit
I saw this A while a while ago: http://phandroid.com/2015/09/07/how-to-use-android-pay-2/
Seems, at the time of this writing, you should download -440 if your using version 5.
-240 if it's version 8.
So wondering what the latest working version of the Google Play Store is for the FTV2 is?
Sorry, I've searched everywhere and everything is from last year... looking for info on the latest functioning update of the app.
Thanks!
Hi everybody
I was struggling with the issue on topic.
Issue started suddenly and has never recovered since.
Current ATV version is 8.0.0
Play services update as expected, current version is 19.6.29
Play Store sticks to version 10.5.10 and reports itself as updated
Troubleshooting I made:
force update through play store's about page
clear data and cache in com.android.vending
clear data and cache in play services
clear data and cache in download manager
adjust date and time
cycle sign-in of Google account
went through two firmware updates, current version is V190
reset to factory
I've gathered a diagnostic log but I'm not sure if I can read it. What fail status , if ever, should I look for?
I've also tried to reinstall via apk taken from apkmirror, first I tried to version 11.x then went to 16.7.31, unfortunately that never resolved the issue.
Really , I don't know what else should I do at the moment.
Thanks for your help.
Max
I have the same model TV and play store is at version 10.5.10 and thinks it is up to date.
Hi again, the issue is still keeping on after a new factory reset. I've noticed that a new firmware version , V216 , has been released. Has anybody tried it yet?
How do you find out what the installed version is?
Do you mean the firmware?
On my device:
Home\settings\informations\contact us
If you talk about the version of the Play Store:
Play Store\settings\about > you'll see the current version.
As you may already know, if you click on the version and an update has been released it should download and install it.
Just got a kernel update.
Kernel version
4.4.3+

Hi again
I'll check fo the kernel update, in the meantime I updated again the firmware version from V190 to V216 and Play services updated correctly to 19.8.31 . Play store is still to version 10.5.10
I did all the troubleshooting that Google could offer and if I install an APK that won't follow the updates as well....help please!!
What are the benefits of updating the firmware?

Did you not see posts #2 & #3
When I manually checked for updates to Play Services today there was a ~470kb update. Installed and rebooted. Checked again and it said there was the same size update available, installed and rebooted. Checked and it was there again. Anyway, took 3 times to install, whether they were different updates I don't know.
Currently on Version 22.12.15 (190400-439420056) which I assume is the latest non-beta version. Still shows as dated 1st March.
(note that my version is 190400 which is what came officially from a check for updates so not sure about the 190400 vs 190408 debate)

I did the same thing to find out the latest pushed version. I have T-Mobile in the US and 190400 is the version that was pushed to my phone. Maybe it's a regional difference?

Bit of a shame that Google is simply copy/pasting the update log from previous months. I was hoping for some decent information, as to where certain things had been improved, instead we just get the same generic text every time, very slightly altered. So the question arises: Is it even necessary/useful to try to keep this up to date with manual installing?

New playstore : Google Play Store 30.1.19-21 [0] [PR] 440467943 (arm64-v8a) (nodpi) (Android 5.0+)
I have got several 496kb Play Services updates over the past few days, sometimes a couple on the same day, now on Version 22.13.12 (190400-437950728).
Again, not sure if it's the same version failing until it successfully installs or if each has been a genuine update (the fact it has been exactly the same sized update each times makes me think it's the former).
Just received Play Services Version 22.15.14 (190400-441847897)
(still showing as March 1st)
Anyone get April update yet? Still nada here.
Still on March.
Yet on March ..
