I use Chrome on my laptop and want to use it on my phone too. But like when I'm typing something in Google on chrome and I hit the backspace button to erase something instead of erasing it just keeps inserting more of the letters and then after a bit it finally starts erasing. It's so annoying. And yes I am hitting the back erase key and not a letter.
Has this happened to any of you? Do you know how to fix it?

About 80% of the time I type in a new text field, 'goo' will appear as soon as I start typing.
Anyone else getting this? Had the problem before I rooted, then it went and its come back again.
Sorry if this has been posted before.
Can't search on the xda app.

I seem to get this randomly as well but not 'goo', it's usually the start of something I have typed recently.
I guess you type google in a lot?
Not massively so. This has been the only word that has appeared with the problem. Never had the beginning of another word.

This has been touched on in the development thread, but since I just registered, I can't post or reply there so maybe someone will see this and can help me out. With the new CM10 nightly straight from get.cm on my epic, the fn key on the hardware keyboard does not work. In the web browser it just ignores that i've pressed it all together. In texting it doesn't accept any input after pressing the fn key until i press it again to turn it off. Any fixes or is this a bug that will need to be fixed through future versions? Is everyone experiencing this, or is it just a few people?

I wiped everything and reinstalled and it is working now. I wiped every bit of stuff I could off my phone using CWM. Seems to work great now... odd. )(*&^%$#~-_+=[];:\"'><}{|[email protected]/!

You must hold the Fn key, much like the shift key on a pc.

Not unless that is a new way of using the FN key

Try searching in the stock browser

I think he is still on cm9 unless his sig is outdated. But yes, in cm10 you have to hold the fn key when searching. But I'm fine with that. Mine was not working at all. But then I cleared and reflashed everything and it works

My Fn key doesn't work either even if I hold it.

See my 2nd post above. I wiped everything and reflashed and it fixed the issue. Seems like we got a dirty flash... I wiped absolutely everything from within CWM. Saved stuff I wanted on SD card, went to mounts and storage and went through each wipe option, so I'm not sure which one actually fixed it.

I have the same issue. Seemed to start after I loaded up a copy of Swift Key Flow Beta. I went back to Swype - and it sill won't let me use the Fn key.
I will try doing some wiping when I have more time, just thought I would add that one little clue to the discussion.
I love this keyboard because of the auto correct feature and the amount of options you can choose. For some reason while I'm typing sometimes it will do double letters and it's at random. Sometimes it will look like this "HHey what aree you doing?" Am I the only one with this issue. Using it on my completely stock AT&T galaxy s3.

It's my favourite keyboard, I use it every day in the past 10 months or so, didn't have this problem either. (Used it on atrix, vivid and hox). Maybe the screen is a little too sensitive?

There is no way of adjusting the sensitivity of the screen from my understanding. I just am curious if I'm the only one to have this problem or if someone else has experienced it at all doing the same thing. I don't know I'll try not typing so light and see if that makes a difference. If someone has had this problem and they fixed it please let me know how.

Has anyone seen if maybe it's the speed at which you're typing. If I type slow its not so bad. If I start typing faster it starts putting the double letters. Just trying to figure this out. Thanks for the information in advance.

I have the same issue. I type pretty fast and it always has that double letter issue and even sometimes has double words even though I only enter it once. I decided to stick with the stock ics keyboard from the play store which works great without any typos with my quick typing

Who is the developer of the keyboard you're using?

I definitely have this issue, and am using 4.6.00.147 version of the app (the most recent I believe) as I don't see any update in the Play Store. I love this keyboard, but this part of it is very frustrating. So much to the point that I went back to the stock AOSP keyboard, but I want this to be fixed.
EDITED: I've reached out to the developer to see if there is any idea on what's causing/how to fix. I will post any updates if I get any that are constructive.
Lately my keyboard has had a mind of it own. Every time I type something I lose touch control and my phone starts to use the swype like feature on its own. I might sound crazy but this is really annoying, any ideas on how to fix it?

My keyboard seems to jump to the beginning of the line sometimes while I'm typing (like pressing the "home" button on a PC). I'm going to try swapping keyboards for a few days and see if that helps. After that, maybe a cache wipe is in order...after that, I'll keep an eye out for an LG rep haha!
Will post results.

This didn't seem to happen on 4.1.2. When I'm typing on SwiftKey, every 4 or 5 letters nothing happens when I press the key. This hasn't been a total deal breaker since SwiftKey is so good at predictions but it's still pretty annoying. Any ideas why it's happening?
