JetAudio - Nexus 7 Themes and Apps

Hi folks,
Anyone else try JetAudio app for music? I downloaded it today - had been using Poweramp up to this point but I have to say initial impressions is that the sound is very good from JetAudio.. Anyone else try it?
Cheers,
Mick

Jet audio is great, plenty of adjustments available via the equalizer, I'm really impressed.

I agree. It has plenty of features for a free app. Downside of course is battery life. But nonetheless, thank you for pointing me to it.

I think poweramp is best. The dvc is unbeatable and the ui is great and u can also change themes. In jetaudio the 20 band equalizer is sweet but the ui is boring and there aren't a lot of options. Also try player pro.

It's the best player that I test. I just need a player with a file browser ans userfriendly ui. Very nice app.
Sorry for my poor english

The only problem that I have found with Jet Audio and PowerAmp is that they won't detect FLAC files, which makes it pretty useless to use. I usually use Spotify but I do prefer some tracks in FLAC.

It says "It plays almost any type of digital music files you have (.wav, .mp3, .ogg, .flac, .m4a, .mpc, .tta, .wv, .ape, .mod, .spx and more)..." Not knowing what a FLAC is, I can't say if it actually does.
Just tried Jet, still like N7 Player better. More unique interface, let's you edit tags, replace album art with higher quality, sounds as good, better widgets. I bought Poweramp, but uninstalled, didn't like interface.

What's your preferred music player app?

Topic. I'm using the default one for the first time since I've been using Android. On my evo epic 4g and 4g touch I always used player pro but since owning the s3 I don't feel a need to use a after market one unless someone ports over the xperia music player with working widgets.

+1 for poweramp paid. I don't buy many applications but Poweramp was the one of the first i paid for. And I'm soo glad i did.
I used the built in player for a few days, but I saw no means to retrieve the correct album art, and lol that annoys me when my music shows the wrong art, so I started using power amp paid version :good:
Now you guys wouldn't happen to be the developers of this app hmmmmm? lol

This kinda moves the original question into another area, but how do you keep the ring tones saved on your phone from being played via the music player? I'm at the point now that I do not save music on my phone. I just stream it from my cloud. Thanks.

Most music players allow you to select which folders to add to your music library. Although others scan the entire device for sound files.
I like the option of storing files local. Works great for subways and airplanes.

I do as well. I just don't like the fact that some of my ring tones are mixed into the music player. Does poweramp allow you to choose the folder?

TBH I have always just used Google Play Music. I really like the UI of it. Looks nice
I like the touchwiz music app
Its virtual 7.1 is nice

I've been playing around with Music Player (remix) lately. Its still fairly new on the Android platform and the dev has some bugs to iron out, but the menu system is incredible. Almost everything is accessible from swipes left, right, up. $5 is a bit steep, try out the demo you might just fall in love with it.

have you found a way to fetch the correct album art with the tw music app?

Best music app?

I'm really fond of Apollo, is there one similar to Apollo, but more 'drive friendly' as I use it to play music in my car via aux cord.

Not sure what you mean exactly by drive friendly, but I like Gone Mad Music Player.
Like a car mode I'm assuming. I use NexMusic and its ok. Just a basic music player that uses the Google card layout. It has a car mode with basic controls.

google play music...nice and stable..organized with my files on the cloud and love the instant mix function. i pay for a subscription and use it all day everyday
It must be Poweramp!
Hands down poweramp

Apollo is a great music app, and so are the rest of the popular ones such as Poweramp (in my opinion).
My point exactly is: IT DOES NOT MATTER.
What matters is how you feel comfortable about the interface and the MUSIC FX/Equalizers it can handle.
Try Noozxoide (google it) for your eq/preamp and you'll have amazing results on tone and volume.
I prefer Google Music but I used to use Apollo some time ago and it was fine

Poweramp, overall. Neutron in my subjective opinion is better Sq wise, but the intergace/gui is pretty difficult to deal with.
Power Amp. It has a lot of nice features. It has built in amp.

Poweramp here as well.
I've been using Nexmusic.
Google Play Music. I tried Poweramp but could not figure out how to get my Google Play Music created playlists onto Poweramp.
I use both Neutron Player and Poweramp.
Neutron player is my favorite. It can be tweaked to play better sounds. And the built in amp is much more powerfull.
It plays louder music, specially via bluetooth and headphones.
Poweramp is easier to use.
It sounds good and I like the fact that it can have many custom pre sets.
But it has a volume cap.
If you like to listen to crystal clear music, the ability to tweak sound to the extreme and have super loud amp,
Neutron player is the best.
I have tried all.
The sound quality on the stock music player to me sounds best. It just seems clearer and cleaner. I like poweramp for crossfade and gapless playback and it's ui. Neutron also have these features but the ui isn't as nice.

I like the minimalistic look, I am using Z player

I use subsonic a lot. Of course that's because I obtain most of my music via a nontraditional method which doesn't have a streaming player like Amazon or Google music. My library is too big to fit in Google Music, so... Subsonic!

Looking for a music player. Where have they all gone?

Im looking for a good premium music player, because all I ever use is Apollo and I want to branch out. BUt other than PowerAmp, WinAmp and Double Twist I can't find any decent ones they all seem to be streaming services???
Anyone know of any hidden recommendations for music players that are good and polished??
If you are on sammy 4.3 rom, then nothing is best than the stock music player.
If on other, you can try jet audio.
Regards.

If you are rooted I'd install viper sound mod. It isn't a music player but has tonnes of audio options and really will make your music rock

I personally find PlayerPro the best... have tried just about all out there... but it's also a matter of taste and preference. Everyone is different. Can give it a try, though others recommended already are also good options.
I've been using player pro for years. Also use it in conjunction with viper. I try other players from time to time and keep coming back to player pro. Best thing about it? You have an issue, contact the dev. When I had an atrix I had a few issues with the software. Over a number of weeks I tested various fixes he sent me and he got it sorted. Very friendly guy.

Samsung Stock Music Player all the way! Use the viper sound mod if you want a boost in sound (or want to act like a sound techie!). If you want diversity, try ZPlayer (Windows Mobile styled music player), or Play Music (the best, gives a stock Android feeling)! Winamp is also very good!

Best Music Player for Android

I'm currently using Double Twist music player.

But I use winamp.
one thing I noticed though is that when I tried to upgrade to kitkat (aosp), I could use it (was gone from the store - probably not compatible to kitkat).
GoneMAD music player if you are looking for extremely customizable music organization and UI. Not as many of Neutron's bells and whistles, but it does have Dashclock Widget integration.
for now i think poweramp is the best..

Google music just came to canada, I love it! Otherwise I used Songza for the longest time.
Another +1 for Google Music. I subscribe to Google Play Music All Access. Anything that isn't in the library, I'll upload from my computer. I keep all my playlists on my device.
I switched from Spotify when it Google Play Music All Access first came out. Unlike Spotify, which limits you to 3,333 tracks stored offline, you can store as much music as you can fit on your device. If I store all my playlists on my device I've got something like 50GB of music.
Google Music.
