Hey,
in the newer versions of the Runnymede AIO Rom, the market updater was removed. How can I get this back to retrieve the newest version of market?
There is an "Market.3.3.12.apk" on the sourceforge addon page of the Rom. If i install this, do I just have version 3.3.12 of the Market or is the Market Updater installed, too?
How is this apk meant to be installed? Do I just have to download it via my phone and install it just like a normal app? Is the older market going to be overwritten then or will I have two markets afterwards?
the newest market is 3.4.4
download the file (.apk)
then using root explorer go to system\app and remove Vending.apk
then paste the downloaded file and rename it to Vending.apk
then long press on the file and choose permissions and check ticks for 1st column and 1st row in second column only (5 ticks checked in total)
reboot device
I only have these 4 ticks and never had any problems:

Is it also possible to install the automatic market updater?
I think market autoupdater doesn't work on custom roms . at least o never had experienced it.

oh yeah I meant 4 ticks obviously just like on matdroid screenshot.

I am using ICS (custom rom) and market updater works fine.
Doesn't seem to work here. I put the MarketUpdater.apk in /system/app, checked permissions like in the screen above, but after one night there's still the old market...
No problem, old market is not bad, works mostly better than the new one. If you really want newest one, tell me. I will upload apk for you.

I haven't done this yet -- prolly will have time tonight.
To get it up and running, download the APK and perform the following steps:
Open Root Explorer or another root-enabled file explorer and go to /system.
Tap the "Mount R/W" button, then scroll down to build.prop and press and hold on it. Tap "Open in Text Editor".
Find the line that says ro.build.version.sdk=15 and change it to read ro.build.version.sdk=16. Press the menu button and tap "Save and Exit".
Go to /system/app and hold-press GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk. Rename it to GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk1. If that file doesn't exist (it didn't for me), just skip this step.
Reboot your phone and install the Google Now APK, once again available here.
Go back and edit build.prop as described in step two, and change the ro.build.version.sdk line back to 15.
Reboot your phone one last time.

Well it's because ICS is essentially missing the proper api's which JB has for the voice to be working as of current, so we can install it to replace search via keyboard, but not by voice for the most part.
Anyone else getting "network error" when opening search after doing this? Things then work okay but the cards don't show until searching.
---------- Post added at 09:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:40 PM ----------
Correct...the voice part is not working.

It sounds like some people are close to getting the voice search to work on ICS

Soooo I believe I've figured out the problem with the voice. Apparently we're going to have to switch out google's voice recognizer with the one used on JB theres also a lib for this. Also we'll have to switch out the RecognitionListener because when it attempts to listen its unable to listen and crashes before it can. As well as the tts (Text to Speech). Because if you notice if you try to use TTS while typing a message, email, etc you do not get the NEW TTS.

Tried a different OTG cable or different drive? I know a bad cable can cause issues.
Not yet(I don't have another one) but, I have used my dual otg flash drive and it works in recovery mode but not working on paranoid android.
Hello! Im back, my otg is now recognized using es file explorer with this address "usb://1002/NEXUS7".

I could also be the fact that you are running android L. The os has quite a lot of comparability issues (although I'm not sure if its just a theme or not)

Looks like a new version of TWRP was released for the D851 yesterday afternoon. I installed it using TWRP manager and it is full screen and everything is readable.
I still get 2.7.1.3 when installing recovery via twrp manager

That is odd. It installed 2.8.0.1 for me. Here is a link to it if you want to download it manually.

This is a very useful APP originally from the Note 2 that I incorporated into a Flashable ZIP
This is a simple Popup Browser that you can open when clicking on a link... You can use it as another browser option for our Note 4 / Note Edge

No, is not exactly the same... This is a one step procedure for a pop-up browser in window view.
