Hey,
in the newer versions of the Runnymede AIO Rom, the market updater was removed. How can I get this back to retrieve the newest version of market?
There is an "Market.3.3.12.apk" on the sourceforge addon page of the Rom. If i install this, do I just have version 3.3.12 of the Market or is the Market Updater installed, too?
How is this apk meant to be installed? Do I just have to download it via my phone and install it just like a normal app? Is the older market going to be overwritten then or will I have two markets afterwards?
the newest market is 3.4.4
download the file (.apk)
then using root explorer go to system\app and remove Vending.apk
then paste the downloaded file and rename it to Vending.apk
then long press on the file and choose permissions and check ticks for 1st column and 1st row in second column only (5 ticks checked in total)
reboot device
I only have these 4 ticks and never had any problems:

Is it also possible to install the automatic market updater?
I think market autoupdater doesn't work on custom roms . at least o never had experienced it.

oh yeah I meant 4 ticks obviously just like on matdroid screenshot.

I am using ICS (custom rom) and market updater works fine.
Doesn't seem to work here. I put the MarketUpdater.apk in /system/app, checked permissions like in the screen above, but after one night there's still the old market...
No problem, old market is not bad, works mostly better than the new one. If you really want newest one, tell me. I will upload apk for you.

It is the same app that is in the Android Market
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.google.android.music&feature=search_result
It is not a honeycomb app. It maybe the music app that comes default with honeycomb, but it is an app for Android 2.2 and up. I have it on my Archos 70, downloaded it from the Market.

3. Mount the system to r/w.
4. Now search for Vending.apk & rename it to Vending.apk1

Tried installing this on the latest MIUI build and I get the following error at the very end of the Market install process: "Application Not Installed".
Any tricks I can try? FYI, Installing as root doesn't seem to help :/
Oh, I'm the same to you
This isnt something you can just install like a regular APK. Use root explorer or something to move it to /system/apps.
Installed on MIUI 1.10.28 Desire Z.
Works very well.
Cheers
Edit:
Also it's much faster than the previous version x.x.25

Has anyone noticed that when you update an app, the notification icon disappears right after it says it was successfully installed? Or is this just on my end?

I've read a couple of comments about this being a bit smoother when using and/or installing apps... perhaps Blade will be able to handle this version better than the current one.
I tried it but my impression is not that it's getting smoother now.
It still lacks.
I still miss the old market, IMO the new features are not that good to accept the poor performance.

You could search for the old market (I think it's still in july's gapps package), push it to your phone and then freeze Market Updater. This is how I used to have it.
edit: Oh, and if you've only recieved automatic market updates over your old 2.X market, you could just go into settings>application>manage application and uninstall updates from market.

BTW, is there an official changelog somewhere, can't find it..?
I'm trying to find the apk for the XDA Premium app so I can add some things to my CM10 theme, but the app is not installed in data/app. I have searched my sdcard and cannot find the apk anywhere. Any one know where it is installed to?
Using Titanium backup, when I long press on the XDA app, I see the option "Move to Internal." Every other app has "Move to SD Card." What is up with this?
/data/app
com.quoord.tapatalkxda.activity-1.apk
edit: paid installs to /data/app-asec but is not an apk.

I'm not sure, the app-asec folder is for encrypted apps, so I think it's the app that determines whether it goes there, or just data/app.
I do recall seeing a thread in GN themes and apps about how to theme the paid version FWIW.

yes it is. paid apps go there now.
Must be new behavior. because it has always installed to /data/app for me. I think its a feature google implemented i noticed that in the options it gives you when uploading apps to the play store is "make app more secure" -"Make apps harder to steal" or something similar... so the developers must have checked that feature. Which sucks cause now i cant theme it

In which case the thread I mentioned is now useless
I have rooted Htc desire Eye with lollipop. I download xposed installer alpha4 and flashed xposed framework arm.zip. Then i reboot my phone there is message like:
unfortunately com.android.phone stopped.
When i close this message it opens again again again ... I flashed uninstall xposed framework.zip And i reboot my phone and it opens normally. So how can i use xposed framework??
Xposed was updated today and that bug is fixed now, I installed a couple of hours ago and it's working without any glitches so far.

Could you Please provide the exact version you installed and the procedure of your installation.

Yup. It's v68, I downloaded it from xposed thread. I downloaded the files, installed the apk like a regular app and then flashed the zip from recovery.

The 2nd, 3rd & 6th.
. Flash the 6th (without wipe) using TWRP recovery then reboot.
. Install the 2nd (without uninstall the previous version)
That's all for me.
(The 3rd one is to flash when you face bootloop ect. and need to uninstall xplosed.)
