I installed cm 9 to my arc and it is usable without sim. But when I insert the sim, it wants a SIM network unlock PIN. What's that? It isn't the sim lock code because I entered the sim lock pin after the phone lock and before my lock pattern.

Just press dismiss and ignore it. It's some CM thing in the ROM.
Do I need to dismiss it every time I reboot? Its okay but its better with a solution.

Yes, because there is no solution right now for it.
The sim unlock code is provided in the box that u bought the sim from. if its a pay as you go pack try to find the sim unlock code if its pay monthly is really hard to find the code, i think they might need to get u a new sim card.

If you entered the SIM nr. 3 times wrong the card is locked... you need to enter the unlock code.. but if you entered the code 7 times wrong you can throw away your sim card Get to your mobile operator so they make you a new sim.
I think he does not want to call someone, but to put in his own sim, but his diamond is simlocked ftw...
If you want an unlocker, for free of course, pm me
regards
Firstly, this is the wrong section you're posting in. Next, be clear. Is it SIM Unlock code for carrier based lock or SIM PIN Unlock? If your SIM pin is locked for further tries, call your operator' cus service and ask for puk code.
Regards,
Carty..
why try so many times. you wont be able to unlock ur diamond just like that
I found it out: it is about 5 hours!!!
Hi can someone please help me.. So i am trying to network unlock my phone.. I have already obtained the unlock code. But i have no idea how to input the code that i have without a non-tmobile sim... My phone is t-mobile.. Is there any way i can input the unlock code without a non-tmobile sim card??
If someone could please let me kno hw to it would be great. Thanks in advance
I don't think so. When you put in the other SIM card it triggers a prompt for the code. Easiest thing to do is borrow a friend's sim, or you can buy sims on eBay for $.99. Or just keep the code until you have the other SIM card for the other network you plan to use it on. If your not using it on another network the unlocking is kinda pointless.

What's your T-mobile model?
There is no other way to unlock without a non-T-mobile SIM as far as i know. You may follow the below instructions:
1. Switch ON your mobile with a Not ACCEPTED SIM Card.
2. If your mobile asks for a PIN code, then enter your SIM card PIN and press OK.
3. T-Mobile Affinity will ask to enter an "unlock code".
4. Your mobile is now unlocked.
I also followed these steps to unlock my mobile. I got the unlock code from TheUnlockArena.com here they provided permanent unlock code.

Does it ask for a puckcode?
It said "new sim" and it asked for pin code... After it, the phone wanted a code to accept the new sim (not the puk, but they inserted a wrong code 10 times so the phone blocked the sim slot). If i'm not wrong, it was something like simcode ME

Hi
is the phone still on a subscription like AT&T
because if it is and you have a sim card from like T-Mobile than that won't work.

no, it was imported from switzerland (used phone) and it worked well with "poste mobile" sim... now they changed with a new one "vodafone" sim and it asked for the "new sim code"... Could it working if i reset the phone?
You could try but I don't think it would work I think you must unlock your phone I could be wrong about the unlock part

How i can do to open lock?
my O+ phone sim card slot is permanently locked...what should i do?
So im going to sim unlock my phone and i already have my new sim ready. I still havent bought my sim unlock code. The wierd thing is that i have had tried putting the new sim card and i dont get a prompt to type in my sim code. It just takes me to the lock screen and when i unlock the lock screen it takes to the home screen. It does tell me in the drop down status bar that the network is locked. So im not sure why i dont get a prompt. Is it becuase im using a custom rom? Do i need to go back to stock?
So I have a huge problem, I bought this phone second hand and the Sim Network Unlock prompt showed up but I didn't have any code, so I thought it was the SIM pin, I entered it 5 times and did not work, then it showed me the SIM PIN and PUK to be entered I did that and now it shows me Invalid SIM no matter what SIM I actually try to use on the phone. But now I have a code for the SIM Network Unlock but the prompt does not come up anymore. I tried a factory reset on it and then inserted the SIM and nothing. How can I force that prompt to show up again. Thank you for your help.
Please update it by sideload the 4.6.6 update.bin And check whether it was asking for puk or network unlock pin

I did that, but it doesn't work... It also does not ask for PUK... It asks for pin because the sim has a pin on it... and when I enter the pin it says SIM accepted.
