Hold off til the new nexus comes out. After getting the nexus 7 i will never buy a non nexus device ever again.
$2? I say go for it. Its about the same quality of phone but the nexus will be supported software wise.

If you have strong 4G LTE where you are, I'd say go for it. If not, and your 4G Wimax is good, stay with the E4GT.
I'm in Dallas and bought a used Sprint Nexus when LTE first hit here. It was so weak and sporadic that my Wimax was better, so I came back to my trusty E4GT.
Yes I would say it comes down to LTE. As far as the phone I prefer my s2 compared to my wife's G Nexus.
She uses my camera more than she uses her phone.

This is not necessarily true.
Is there a way everyone can get this deal or did you work it out with an employee you know or something? And would I be able to do it if I'm nowhere near an upgrade?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Id get it over the Epic because of LTE & Jellybean alone. BUT, I wouldnt want to use the Nexus for two years, at this point. So id pass!
I had to work it out with an employee, this is after all the rebates and trade in and stuff

for some reason I am not as excited. When this comes out this phone will already be about a year old on verizon. Ours will just be an overclocked version. I wish it wss a 4 inch screen like the nexus s 4g at 1.5 and a great battery.

The only reason I'd go to the gNex is if it's the only LTE phone out by the time LTE hits me area.

Oh, it'll be out probably the same time it's predecessors have been previous years.
Around August/September. I could be wrong, but that's my speculation. SGSII is selling too well to jump to the SG3.
Unless HTC steps up their game, Galaxy Note if it goes to sprint, or gs3. I really don't have any use for gnex.

It isn't worth an upgrade but if I had neither phone I'd choose the gnex.
Since this one is on the same level or higher its def. Not worth an upgrade.

Can't lie, in November when I'm eligible for an upgrade, I'm taking the best that's out. I have no self control when it comes to this kind of thing.
I'm not 100% sure on this but my friend said that he read that the s3 was going to be a simoutanious world wide launch. So apparently we getting at the same time as overseas. Again I haven't researched it yet so sorry if incorrect.

How many manufacturing plants do they have? Its hard to manufacture like 5 or more different versions at the same time ....I know when they made epic touch they were talking about a shortage of exynos chips but I guess they have fixed that especially since the exynos can now handle lte which the dual core could not ..

When did you start your contract and if you keep pushing it you can but is a lot calls for it to get you out free in the other hand the price of the GN should be enough to get out of ETF( that's what I did)

As has been posted here and all over the web several thousand times, Sprint's 3G data speeds are terrible pretty much nationwide. They have a few markets that are ok, but many aren't

I would do that as well. But I have three phones on one account and that means buying all new phones and 2gnexs and an epic 4g won't pay for new phones and contracts. Unfortunately I'll have to deal with it. Until LTE hits me. At least I hope it does.

this is precisely why i'm leaving Sprint and going to T-Mobile. the 4G Wimax is fast (5000kbps) but none of the newer Sprint phones are using Wimax anymore and Sprint's 3G is crawling at <500kbps. Can't wait to activate my nexus on T-Mobile when my SIM comes in!

Mines the opposite. 10 years of crap service, now decent service. They added a tower in my area in 2010. Been with Sprint since 1999.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
I have been with Sprint since '98 and I have been very happy with my service until the last couple of years... seems to be about when the iPhone arrived at Sprint (coincidence?).
I am still very happy with the voice service, reasonably happy with the price but the data network has gone to crap. If I did not have Wifi at home and work (where I spend most of my time) I would not be able to stand it. It was good for a little while when I could get Wimax on my Evo in spots. Now that I have upgraded to the S3 I am playing the waiting game again... wondering when Sprint will fix the 3G and bring LTE. I am patient and I will stick by Sprint for a while longer... no way I am going to VZ or ATT. Not sure which is worse. Not sure TMO is an option for me either.
