Yes there are drivers for Windows, easily found on Samsung's site, either under support our downloads, heck even Windows update had Samsung's mobile mtp download as soon as I first hooked my Gnex to the pc.

There are drivers for the Gnex on samsungs website. At least for the gsm version, that's where I downloaded drivers from. And don't get mad just because everyone else doesn't do all your searching for you and post the direct link. Come back when you realize no one is obligated to help you and maybe you'll have better luck.

basically your to lazy to search for yourself and expect me to give you a link, Nah I don't think so. Again if you go under either support or downloads, and click on cell phones it'll take you right to where you need to be, just have to make sure you search by correct device.

Jelly Bean (yakjuux JRO03C) + new UGLH1 radio for Canadian devices

Hi,
I live in Canada and have my GN with Bell. I've been stuck on 4.0.1 since I got the phone; no updates were ever available.
Recently, I had to get my phone repaired and gave it in to the Samsung place here and when I got it back, it was updated to 4.1.1 (I attached a pic of the info)
I just wanted to ask you guys if all the info there looks good/correct. Also, not really sure how the tech managed to update it since nothing was ever available...
On another note, I was wondering if any of you could direct me to rooting methods (preferably on mac) / ways to change to yakju (also preferably on mac) on the version of the phone I have now... I searched and saw a bunch of different methods and whatnot, but I'm terrified to choose a potentially "wrong" one.
Thanks!
they must have updated it using Odin. is the IMEI the same or a different phone
I don't think I've ever seen that baseband before. I wonder if Samsung is actually close to releasing something for the Candian yakjuxx variant.

Before you change to yakju, would you mind dumping your radio, bootloader and ROM please? You have a new radio, so I'm sure lots of folks would like to try it out. And I'm sure lots of Canadians would like to try out your ROM as well.
I can post instructions later tonight.

[GUIDE] Unbrick guide for Galaxy Nexus (Maguro)/ Windows ONLY

Hey guys, this will be my first ever Android guide so bear with me. I also have a GSM/Maguro device (i9250) and have NOT tried this on other devices, and I am not responsible for any further damage to your phone (although, at this point, how worse can things get?!)
Problem/ case: I was messing around on goo-manager and flashed a TWRP 2.4.1.0 flashable zip on the list (didn't really check if it was for Maguro, etc) and I disregarded all the warnings and flashed it, which then rebooted my device, and showed a quick screen of TWRP flash/processing and it suddenly rebooted, so I thought "WTF"? and it wouldn't turn on afterwards, no matter what I did.
TLDR: phone wouldn't boot up.
Solution: ----- for me I'm on Windows 8 (x64), but I'm pretty sure it will work for previous versions of Windows also.
1. download this : http://www.mediafire.com/?q9fyyjo2yh8i48h and http://www.mediafire.com/?jf6l09wfi4mh3t5
2. Extract the rar files and place it on the desktop (preferably)
3. Go into r5-galaxynexus-superboot > double click on these items : "adb-windows", "fastboot-windows", and "superboot-windows". Keep the last script running, do NOT close superboot-windows.
4. Go into usb_drv_windows > right click "omap_winusb" > click "Install"
a. if you're on windows 8 and you run into an error message that says " The third-party INF does not contain digital signature" then refer to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlYGfJM2BJ0
5. back out to the main directory of the folder and this time go to usb_drv_android > right click "android_winusb" > click "Install"
6. Open device manager
a. Windows 7: windows key > type "device manager" into search
b. Windows 8: windows key + q > type device manger into search under "settings"
7. check to see if you have the OMAP4460 driver installed under "TI devices"
8. After those 2 drivers have been installed, go back to the main directory again and this time click on "omap4460_tuna_hs_pro"
9. Hopefully this step will solve your problem once and for all:
when the command script hangs on "Waiting for device <omap usb>, disconnect your device from the USB > take out the battery > connect the phone back to the computer WITHOUT the battery plugged in, and then finally insert the battery into the phone, and the command script should respond right away and boot the phone up (in my case I saw the white charging battery logo).
My result on the screen. http://i.imgur.com/FTpMzml.png
10. Now, if the phone was able to boot up, that means you were able to unbrick your device, CONGRATULATIONS! If this didn't help, I'm also truly sorry, and wish the best of luck to you.
Hit the thanks button if it worked out for ya!

Perhaps that wasn't bricking but maybe a battery issue.. because if you were fine while on facebook and it suddenly shut off, that might've been due to the phone not the rom.

Ah okay then it's definitely not a battery issue. If your win7 can recognize omap then it's just that last part try this. After your omap has been recognized, disconnect and then connect your device to the computer without the batteries, run the script and then plug in the batteries.
Also do you have adb privileges on your computer? Maybe it's a problem with the device not being able to get into fastboot.

If you say that it is in SDK tools, then please post a screenshot of it, by pressing PrtSc and then open paint, paste and save, then upload here as attachment. Because It is not in SDK!
Also if you say you run it on your nexus then take a screenshot of it in WiFi advanced settings by opening Settings > WiFi > advanced settings and then press power button and volume - (not about phone, because editing build.prop is way too easy).

[Q] Galaxy Nexus won't root/update

My Galaxy Nexus is stuck on android 4.1.1,Odin won't recognize it due to the fact that it's a Nexus device,as well as Odin.
OTA update won't work either, when ever i try to check it just says Up to date,i've also tried Deleting the Google framework thing, didn't work either.
Rooting isn't working as well, tried several root kits, including the Galaxy Nexus Tool Kit that i've found here,as well as Others.
Any help ?
General Information :
Board : Tuna
Device : Maguro
Product : yakjujp

Dont use toolkits. Just do it manually garuanteed to work.

Enjoy!
It is a LOT easier than you may think. Just take your time and read carefully a couple times and let it sink in, it should all start to make sense fairly quickly
