Micromax A25 Complete Guide (Rooting/Troubleshooting)

How to Root Micromax A25​A25 Root (Modified Boot.img)
A25 USB VCOM Drivers
Android Language Project Tool
SP Flash Tools
Step 1) Download all the files/softwares above.
Step 2) Connect your phone in Power-Off Mode, your system will begin searching for drivers, Manually locate the driver installer to A25_USB_VCOM Folder, wait until it's finished
Step 3) Open SP Flash tools, Load the Scatter File located in the modified boot img folder you've downloaded
Step 4) Click on Options > DA Download All > Disable DA Download All
Step 5) Click on Download Button > Disconnect phone > Reconnect phone > Wait until its finished.
Step 6) Power-on your phone > Enable USB Debugging mode
Step 7) Open Android Language Project > Select Lang Installer Tab > Then Click 4.0< Button on right panel
Step 8) Rooting is complete!
Alternate Rooting Method [May Not Work]
Download CWM Recovery for Micromax A25
Download SuperSu Flashable Zip
1. Place SuperSu Flashable Zip in your memory card.
2. Reboot into recovery mode.
3. Locate to the zip file and Flash it.
4. Reboot.
Troubleshooting​
SP Flash Tool Errors (Fix)
If you're facing any error file flashing with SP Flash Tool, Open Device Manager > Expand Ports > Select MediaTekPreloader.. and Update Driver Software > Browse the Computer > Let me pick.... > Uncheck show Compatible Hardware > Select MTK USB Port in "Model Column" > Press OK > Reboot Computer (Optional) > Reconnect phone > There will be no error in flashing now.
If still some kind of error persists, I've found one way to fix those.

I have flashed my Micromax A25 with A25_0201_V0370 stock firmware and my IMEI was gone.I replaced the IMEI by copying the MP0B_001 file and setting the permission to rw-rw----. But my phone always shows no service whatever SIM I insert. I have checked according to your post that my "Android Core Apps" is running. Please help me.

but there is no option like mediatek preloader in ports. the only option is standard port over bluetooth 38,40,41....so on.
I guess that's problem with my laptop...but still let me know if anyone can solve it...

Install the drivers provided by me. Uninstall your previous drivers.

Step 1) Download all the files/softwares above
Step 2) Connect your phone in Power-Off Mode, your system will begin searching for drivers, Manually locate the driver installer to A25_USB_VCOM Folder, wait until it's finished

Step 4) Click on Options > DA Download All > Disable DA Download All

I am facing problem here on this stage. even i installed drivers manually on my windows7 by removing battery and installed it. but still not showing drivers installation on device manager too. i am too much confused, tell me what to do? i never had any issues in rooting all other devices of my family and friends including my note 1 and note 2, mmx a57, mmx a89, spice mi500, intex cloud z5 all got rooted but this small **** is giving me pain n my ass, lolz help me plssssss what 2 do??

My phone is on mmx logo what to do.

How can i get to recovery mode?
I have rooted my micromax A25 using eroot and it is properly rooted. Now i cant get into recovery mode in my phone. (vol up + power + home)- doesnt work for me. Even apps like Rom manager, quick boot cant let me to the recovery mode. how can i get to recovery mode?

Try doing it on another computer. Can be the problem of your Operating System. Else, try this

Yes, It's rooted. I asked for a nvram.bin to the seller for the same model of smartphone.I flashed it and everything ok(Imei. mac address, bar code, bluetooth) but the touch screen still uncalibrated. I erased the calibration data with sp flash tool. Alttafv said "You just need to replace the "CALIBRAT" folder with pre-configured Calibrat data and set that folder's permission to 777" but I don't have the pre-configured Calibrat data and I don't know how to get it for my phone.

Update your Grand to 4.2.2 (official) using your computer.

I'm not responsible for anything you do with your phone/tablet/rice cooker and make it into an iPhone!
Installation Package & Pre-requisites:
1. Samsung Galaxy Grand (obviously), charged above 80%
2. Odin ( Download Here http://ohguideme.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Odin3-v3.07.zip)
3. The official 4.2.2 firmware for GT-I9082 (Download here)
4. You should have Kies or drivers of your grand installed. Download here (Kies)
5. Enable USB Debugging by going to ettings :>About device >Developer options >USB debugging
Installation:
1. Connect your Grand to your computer via USB Cable.
2. Extract & Start ODIN on your computer, make sure that Auto Reboot & F.Reset is Checked while Re-partition is Unchecked.
3. Restart Galaxy Grand in “Download Mode”. You can do it by switching off the device and then holding Volume Down+Power+Home button simultaneously for few seconds.
4. ODIN should recognize your device [ID:COM will turn blue or yellow], if it does not either your antivirus or firewall settings is creating problem or Samsung USB driver (Kies) is not correctly installed.
5. Check & Hit PDA on ODIN and select the file 'I9082XXUBMI1_I9082ODDBMI1_I9082DDUBMI1_HOME.tar.md5'you downloaded and extracted on your computer. (extract and select).
6. Press Start
After this,
Your Samsung Galaxy Grand will reboot on its own, and you will have official Android 4.2.2 Jellybean Installed on your device.
Note: If their is any problem during installation, like boot loop or force closures, installing the 4.2.2 version or during the install you need to wipe/factory data reset your Galaxy Grand. You can do this by pressing Home+ Power + Volume Up key. There will be an option to wipe/factory data reset select it and your will be good to go.

yes u can ... but u will have to flash cwm again and root the device again after the update

[Tutorial] How to root and install custom ROM and recovery.

Hello guys , this is my first topic and I want to tell you how to customize your phone.
First : Rooting
You have to root before doing any thing , you can root your phone by a lot of ways
1- Rooting by PC , you can find alot of rooting programs that is very easy to use like : Kingo root, wondershare mobile Go , king root and a lot more , but the best tool is Kingo root for PC , you can download it from the official website
After downloading you have to install it and your phone usb drivers and enable USB debugging in developers options , then connect your phone to PC via USB cable
The click Root! , wait until the rooting is completed and you have a root!!
2- rooting without PC ,there are a lot of tools like King root, Kingo root , towelroot and framaroot and more , I prefer king root because it is supporting a huge list of devices , you can download it from the official site after downloading you have to check unknown sources from Applications settings before installing , once you did you can install it after installing open it and wait to check if there is a strategy for rooting your phone , if it is found one click on root and wait for it to complete rooting ,
3- installing SuperSU , SuperSU is the best root permissions management app , it is supporting a lot of languages and it is more safety then king root or Kongo root apps ,
You can download it from Play store or install it easily by a custom recovery ,
First download it from play store and open it and give it a root permission , then the app will install its binary and important files , if it is saying fails to install you can go to king root app and go to options then root options the clean root , it will uninstall its self then retry to update SuperSU binaries it should be installed now
Second : installing custom recovery,
If you have Samsung device then this will be very easy to you.
1 - by odin ROOT is not important , you have to download these files : Odin3.xx , Samsung drivers and your recovery file ,
[WARNING! ] you can't install other device recovery file even if it is the same in shape or model with few changes or this will brick you phone ,
How to install : shut down your device and put it into downloading mode by pressing power + volume down and home buttons in the same time , a warning press volume up button and connect your device via USB cable and open Odin by administrator , there will be a blue bar on options tabs , press on PDA or AP button and select your recovery file , the press start DONT disconnect the USB or your device will be damaged , a progress bar will appear on your phone screen , wait for few seconds and a PASS!! message in a green bar will appears in Odin , then you can disconnect you phone from USB , you can go into recovery by pressing power + volume up and home button s in the same time , you will find your self in recovery mode , there is different types of custom recoverys like clockworkmod (CWM) and Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) and Philz recovery and more , you can find your recovery file in some in xda forums , remember to you your correct recovery file and flashing it correctly ,
2 - With out PC (Root is required!) : download your correct recovery file in your phone and download any comprising app like AndroZip or zArchive , I prefer zArchive and flashing app like Flahfy or Mobile uncle tool or Rasht , after downloading the apps and your recovery file and flashing and archiving apps , go into zArchive or any other app and rename your recovery file which it is name with .tar.md5 at the last of its name with recovery.tar and click on file after renaming it and extract it , then go to flashing app like Rasht and click on recovery from SD card and select your recovery file and flash it , remember to give it root permission , now you have a custom recovery, you can flash a custom recovery by this method for any device
Like LG or HTC or any other device.
Third : installing custom ROMs :
Installing Custom ROMs is the coolest feature of custom recoveries , the rom is the operating system of your phone or tablet , you can find better ROM for your device and faster like CyanogenMod or AOSP or other custom ROMs which it is better than original ROM , you can go to CyanogenMod or AOSP website and search for your device , and download your phone or tablet custom ROM which its format is .zip ,
After downloading your ROM file shutdown your device and go into recovery mode by pressing power + volume up and home buttons , select install zip from SD card if the file is in your external SD card or install zip from internal SD card if it in internal storage , select your ROM file and flash it after flash is completed wipe cache and data the reboot your phone , you are in you new ROM now !!
you can get root permissions by flashing chain fire flash able zip file , you can download it from chainfire website .

problem in rooting GT i9082(5.1.1)

I am using custom rom cyanognMod version-12.1-20150711-unofficial-i9082 and I am having problem with rooting my device.
custom rom gives develepment option in which i have option of root access but after doing this root cheker does not show root access.
I also tried method using update-superSU V1.25.zip then also root access is not sucessfully done.

Try this steps:
1. Goto pawitp's basketbuild all release here
2. Scroll down and look for cm-12.1-20160219-UNOFFICIAL-i9082.zip (Link) and cm-12.1-20160219_from_20160108_delta-UNOFFICIAL-i9082.zip (Link)
3. Download super SU 2.65 stable build Here
4. Download Open Gapps Here (Select Arm then 5.1 and Gapps you want)
5. After Downloading those 4 files Boot into Recovery
5. Wipe Data, Cache and Partition
6. Flash the cm-12.1-20160219-UNOFFICIAL-i9082.zip
7. Flash the update named cm-12.1-20160219_from_20160108_delta-UNOFFICIAL-i9082.zip
8. Flash your Gapps
9. Flash super SU
10. Reboot

Rooting 5.1.1 by very easiest method
You can root cm 12.1 by these simple steps...
1. Enable developer options by clicking build number 5 times
2. Then choose root access as apps and adb in developer option
3. Enable local terminal in developer option
4. Then download super user app from play store(DON'T OPEN IT)
5. Now goto terminal and type "su"
6. Goto super user app and click on " Normal installation method"
Hurrraaaayyyy rooting is done... hit on the thanks meter if it works for you... (it will definitely work for all cm12.1 )

Hi, there. (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:・ﾟ✧.
U need the firmware sct21, odin3, recovery (team win recovery project v2.8.7.0) and supersu 2.79 (for kitkat or lollipop use supersu 2.78, the recovery will be the same)
U will need the firmware:
*AP_SCT21KDU1CPL3_CL9963369_QB11944951_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
*BL_SCT21KDU1CPL3_CL9963369_QB11944951_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
*CP_SCT21KDU1CPL3_CL9963369_QB11944951_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
*CSC_KDI_SCT21KDI1CPL3_CL9963369_QB11944951_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
1-Open the Odin3 select the box correspondent with the files name. (BL, AP, CP, CSC)
2-Put your tablet in bootloader (download mode)
3-Connect your Tablet USB cable at computer.
4- The Odin3 program will show you the number of the port USB and will turn blue. Then Just press START.
Will take around 10 minutes to flash the files. So, just wait finish and disconnect your cable USB when your tablet restart.
Wait your tablet start completely (and install all that horrible factory icons. hahaha) and choice your language (English or Japanese). Create a google account if u want (or skip). Dont make any actualization, its better u didn't put any wifi, because if u select a wifi will make a lot of actualization from Samsung and AU Programs, and will get slowly (U can start the wifi later....)
5- Put the supersu2.79.zip in your external card
6-After your tablet finish to install incializations, restart your tablet and put again in bootloader (download mode)
7-Open Odin3 again at computer. In the box "AP" u will select the recovery.tar.md5 file and click start.
It will flash very fast now, around 15 seconds. Hold the tablet and when you start to reboot press HOME + POWER OFF + VOLUME UP (booaloder mode).
Now your tablet will enter TWRP recovery.
If you can not get into recovery when the program finishes, no problem, wait for the tablet to start, restart and enter bootloder mode.
When you enter TWRP recovery, click install, external storage, select the file supersu2.79.zip and install.
Reboot and READY !!!
(Install the superbox and root check apps, for authenticate your root.)

U need the firmware sct21, odin3, recovery (team win recovery project v2.8.7.0) and supersu 2.79 (for kitkat or lollipop use supersu 2.78, the recovery will be the same)
U will need the firmware:
*AP_SCT21KDU1CPL3_CL9963369_QB11944951_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
*BL_SCT21KDU1CPL3_CL9963369_QB11944951_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
*CP_SCT21KDU1CPL3_CL9963369_QB11944951_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
*CSC_KDI_SCT21KDI1CPL3_CL9963369_QB11944951_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
1-Open the Odin3 select the box correspondent with the files name. (BL, AP, CP, CSC)
2-Put your tablet in bootloader (download mode)
3-Connect your Tablet USB cable at computer.
4- The Odin3 program will show you the number of the port USB and will turn blue. Then Just press START.
Will take around 10 minutes to flash the files. So, just wait finish and disconnect your cable USB when your tablet restart.
Wait your tablet start completely (and install all that horrible factory icons. hahaha) and choice your language (English or Japanese). Create a google account if u want (or skip). Dont make any actualization, its better u didn't put any wifi, because if u select a wifi will make a lot of actualization from Samsung and AU Programs, and will get slowly (U can start the wifi later....)
5- Put the supersu2.79.zip in your external card
6-After your tablet finish to install incializations, restart your tablet and put again in bootloader (download mode)
7-Open Odin3 again at computer. In the box "AP" u will select the recovery.tar.md5 file and click start.
It will flash very fast now, around 15 seconds. Hold the tablet and when you start to reboot press HOME + POWER OFF + VOLUME UP (booaloder mode).
Now your tablet will enter TWRP recovery.
If you can not get into recovery when the program finishes, no problem, wait for the tablet to start, restart and enter bootloder mode.
When you enter TWRP recovery, click install, external storage, select the file supersu2.79.zip and install.
Reboot and READY !!!
(Install the superbox and root check apps, for authenticate your root.)

For SANSUNG GALAXY TAB S i have the original 4.4 kit kat (SCT21KDU1ANK4), 5.0 Lollipop() and 6.0 Marshmallow(SCT21KDU1CPL3).
****** You will need install the ADB DRIVERS. If u install kies (not kies 3!! just kies) or Smart Switch, the adb drivers will be installed automatic on your computer.
