Do what "sasquatchotragavaca " says. In case u can't get into recovery(happened to me several times) download the recovery file and flash it again(ill recommend amon ra smelkus mod) and use an sdcard reader to transfer the file from pc to the sdcard. There is a few guides out there in case you are not familiar doing this.

(Q) can't reboot into recovery

I can't reboot into recovery no matter how I try. I tried using the clockwork mod app, holding volume down while powering on and the quick boot app by selecting recovery. Nothing works. It takes me to the white screen where your info is at the top and you can select recovery but when I do it just takes me back to that screen.
Plz help

I little more info would help. Does the screen have white bars on either side? If so you have an SLCD Incredible and will need a different recovery. Search the forums, there are several to choose from. If that's not the problem try to elaborate a little. Hope this helps.

Generally means an incomplete or corrupt recovery. Try flashing it again.

Evo Stuck in Boot Look [HELP]

I cant even boot into recovery. Any ideas? I was using it and it just restarted and I cant do anything at all. It goes to the white htc evo screen and then reboots into a loop. Device is rooted btw.
I've been getting similar issues. Do you happen to have an exchange account?

Can you boot into the bootloader after a battery pull and replace, followed by holding volume down and power buttons at the same time?

I Couldnt get into recovery to wipe anything, nor unroot the device. Reflashing a recovery or RUU through the bootloader didnt work either. Luckily I was able to get a new EVO from my local Sprint store today even though my device was rooted! Came with 2.3.3. so I was sad that I wouldnt be able to root. Then I come online, and BAM! 2.3.3 got root access today! #WINNING
And BTW, I was tethering and sending a text when the phone suddenly rebooted and wouldnt stop. Wasnt cause by the root or flashing anything.

Need Help Getting Out of ClockWorkMod Screen

I'm stuck on the Clockwork Mod recovery screen. Due to an issue detailed here, the gist of which was accidentally installing a kernel designed for the international Galaxy S2, I no longer can use my home and menu keys, and therefore cannot select anything on the Clockwork recovery screen (i.e. "power off"). Removing and replacing the battery just restarts the phone and takes me back to the Clockwork screen. Any help is appreciated!

How to boot into Clockwork so i can flash.

I returned my phone to stock and re-rooted. Once my phone rebooted i download ROM Manager and flashed CWM for the Epic Touch.
I then downloaded Quickboot to boot into recovery but it won't through the app or manually. What am i missing?
I have an SD card installed in the phone. Thanks.

I cant boot into recovery that way or through quickboot. Its like its not installed. I've booted into recovery previously whenbi had this phone rooted so I know how

Do you HAVE a recovery? If nothing is working, I sure hope you have ADB because that's all I can think of.
connect your phone to your PC
open the command prompt (anywhere is fine, you're not moving files)
run [adb devices]
check for your device. (make sure your phone has "USB Debugging" checked)
run [adb reboot recovery]
That WILL reboot the phone into recovery. If it doesn't, then my only guess will be to flash a recovery into your phone. You can actually try doing that now before ADB, if you want.

I will try that. This ODIN is new to me. This is my first Samsung. I always told myself that I would never buy Samsung even if it were a toaster.
