I need one to save battery life. You can test that with a high frequency camera.
It has to be greater than Flicker fusion threshold

Maybe you should try and search for the data sheet for the LED used in the I9100, and check if it can physically support the refresh rates you're looking for.
I know there's an app called disco light on Play which has a variable speed LED strobe feature, check that out too.
cheers

Thanks for th suggestion I will try it.
Currently I'm using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devuni.flashlight&hl=en with adjustedable strobe. The frequency is not high enough for it to not noticeable

[Q] LED Notifications

Since there isn't an LED light specifically for notifications, is there a way to make the LEDs for menu, home, back, and search light up for said notifications? It would be even better if each one lit up for specific apps so I could know why it's lighting up before I even turn on the screen.
Thanks for any help!
My suggestion would be NoLED.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing, but was hoping one could take advantage of the buttons' LEDs.

The closest we can get to LED notifications is BLN. You need to use a BLN compatible kernel and use the app BLN Control.

I'm trying to tweak some things on system tuner and my phone rebooted (but took a bit to turn on) my blood pressure dropped, I thought I killed my phone!
But after some reading.. it pretty much means the phone does not like those settings, change them.. right? Phone works fine now though, but I was wondering for future reference

Yeah, basically. If you are undervolting, you need to take tiny increments to make sure the phone is stable before going any further.

Is it possible to change notification led colour?

Is it possible to have diff colour for diff notifications?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
you can't change it yourself.
red is assigned to power(charging/low power)
green for actual notifcations
blue for sound recording.

Actually you can (somewhat)...Well I did with the Handsent SMS app. Its possible to change the colors for the notifcation within that app so I'm guessing that the notifications colors only work if the app has it within the settings.

I'm getting something different on my Note 2.
Red is the same, for power.
Blue is for notifications (sms and such)
Haven't seen a green notification light yet.

That means with the right software it can be changed. Maybe some developer will be able to come up with something

Light flow works just fine for me. I've changed all the led colors.
Be aware that the install process will make you turn off air view. Just turn it back on after installing.

Wow, thanks to this thread, I finally came to know that Note 2 does have a notification LED just like galaxy s3 as someone told me it doesn't have. Lightflow is good but drains a lot of battery. Try this as well https://play.google.com/store/apps/...51bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5rb28ubGlnaHRtYW5hZ2VyIl0.
How do you turn air view back on?

Any possibilities of Notification LED to get damaged or burn out by using this (or any similar) app?

[Q] Decrease the lowest brightness of Note 2?

Hi, I'm a newbie here, I just wondering is there a way to decrease the lowest brightness limit?
It's quite uncomfortable to use the phone in a completely dark room, even though I've set the lowest brightness.
Thank You
Play store, screen filter or Filter your screen.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
Though keep in mind that screen filters degrade the quality of colors and makes you unable to install apps while they're active.

Thank You
I use "screen filter" every night and ever morning.I have been for over two years now. Under that time I must have updated an app a few times!
There is an app called Night Mode on play store. Its pretty good and its free. Do give it a try..

Just bought Lux from store few days ago and have no experience like this. Only if use night mode the colors look funny to me, but the backlight control is awesome.

It works! Feel the brightness decreased, although not really big difference.
However, thanks man! Love it!

yeah you're right, the brightness does not change even though there is extra room for decreasing the brightness on the slider.
Try Elixir 2
I use Elixir to make a filter toggle, I have this toggle within a widget in my homescreen and other one in the statusbar widget (both with the same filter configuration) and it works perfect for me because Elixir allows to add many toggles in the same widget.

[Q] Flash Light Brightness level.

I meant the flash light behind the phone not the LED in front. Nice app anyway.

SCREEN FILTER: Dim/Darken Screen app

I read this up yesterday and wanted to post it here too for those who don't know about the app yet. "Smart Filter".
This app is magnificient in that it doesn't tweak hardware functions, but it applies a dark layer. Thus making it work wonderfully with the OLED screens (Apparantly OLED can only be dimmed to a certain extent).
This app is fantastic for reading, viewing videos or taking notes at night. Also awesome for using your phone in the theatres (I guess?).
Once again, app is called: Screen Filter

I have tried many screen filter apps, and to this day, none have come close to Lux Auto Brightness.

a filter as well? The only down side I can think of with the filter method is that it doesn't really save battery (in comparison to actually emitting less light).
