Hello,
I want a tutorial to put a desire hd s-on
thank you
First why do you S-ON? And Your best bet to get S-ON is to use the advanced ace hack kit. You can download for this site http://tau.shadowchild.nl/attn1/
Don't forget to read the effen manual.

You shouldn't be redistributing his work without his permission. Just saying. He could have Googled to find that answer. There was a reason it was taken off this site and it should stay off. Please remove the link.

Actually buddy, linking a site is ok, but linking to download the aahk kit isn't - paraphrasing from a mod.
Sent from a dream.
Sorry I phrased that wrong.

Hi guys. I'm new to the android community. I just want to know. Is unrevoked able to root a desire z?
Someone please clarify my doubt.
Thx

Nope. Unless they have a link to it on their site like they do for the Evo, Incredible, etc. it won't work.
There aren't any reliable 1-click methods for the G2/DZ because its a bit harder to gain root access from the way HTC designed it.
There are many step-by-step tutorials in the dev section though that are easy enough to follow.

Works fine for temprooting. I wouldn't trust it for perm rooting as its shown to not always work properly and corrupt some file systems it shouldn't be messing with.
The step-by-step method outlined in the wiki is very easy. You only need your phone and a computer to put a few files on your SDcard, no ADB required anymore it can be done from terminal emulator on the phone itself.

Should take a gander through the Android Development forum for yourself and read up on the other reference materials next time
Here you go: G2/DZ Wiki.
Haha. I shall.
Thanks very much. Really appreciated that

Root using unrevoked
S-off using iso from alvpharev.nl
I think that a good Rom is ownheredesirehd
Just Google how to do it all or look on here, there are so many forums for everything that there's no point in explaining it all,
If you have any questions that you can't find a forum for, just reply to this

You remove it by the same means you installed it! Find an alternative rom to flash or use an ruu.exe to return to stock.
The return to stock whatever you refer to will be stock eclair/froyo then! Yes? Which are sense roms.
Hint...... Try the dev sticky section for "complete wildfire index" by 3xeno
This is all i can do for you without flaming
Say oooh la la
Type into Google...

You'll be amazed by the results as it might just find what you're after.......

Or use the search inside XDA itself:

or you do it the bit more sophisticated way: http://j.mp/OKWwgb
I don't see the point in doing it all for them (I see the sarcasm though).
Google has to be the easiest piece of software ever to use and if he can't figure that out I really don't recommend flashing phones for a hobby.

Look up "attn1 ace advanced hack kit" in google. He has his work hosted off of xda but is the best method IMO.

This video shows you how to get 4EXT recovery (MOD EDIT: By pirating a software and taking the risk of posting it on xda
Feel free to ignore this and move along)
Lemme know if you have any questions!
Jesus Christ.
Wow really? Are these bots or ppl padding their post count or what?

First his video is promoting warez and second you can get 4ext much simpler.
1. Go to 4ext.net
2. Download the free 4ext Updater
3. Install the updater
4. Open 4ext updater and install the recovery

This is correct. Aptoide is clearly a warez app. He says in the video to support the dev if you like it, but he still is pirating initially and we all know, most people aren't gonna go buy it if they have it for free.
I did not actually watch the video so didn't know, warez: BIG NO NO on xda

Or you could just be a discouraging dock to every one and turn them off to the community... I wouldn't ridicule someone for trying to help others

Yes, I am "a place (as a wharf or platform) for the loading or unloading of materials: a usually wooden pier used as a landing place or moorage for boats."
